This is for the Starbucks on 41st and Sycamore. I was in the store 6.19.24 to purchase coffee beans with a gift card. First girl she had dark hair purposely adjusted her body so her full back was to me. Then another girl says to me are you waiting for something..I asked her to tell me what was on the gift card, she told me, then I proceeded to the dusty coffee beans and brought 3 of them to the counter and waited and waited, Manager came out and noticed and spoke to staff to let them know I was there. Almost walked out 2 times. I would have thought the girl with glasses that told me what was on my card would of paid more attention to what I was doing since I told her I wanted to cash in my gift card. Also no one even said hello when I came in. Wont go to that starbucks anymore. read more

I have Had 3 very Bad Visits at this Location over the last 3 years. Why I continued to visit after the first 2 times was only due to location and also convenience. Over The last year there was only 1 barista that Seemed to know my order and know what I ordered and always got it right however there is One distinct Barista that is very Rude, Always Messes up the orders & Argues with Customers. 3 years ago she yelled at me in the drive thru and slammed the window in my face.. then when I visited 2 weeks later had another Barista Confront me. So after a 1.5 years I decided to order again and they started doing Right with my Drinks. Then 3 days ago I ordered an Venti Iced Shaken Expresso with Almond Milk & Foam with No Ice! Paying the base rate of $5.45 + $.70 almond milk+ $1.25 Foam plus Tax I arrive to get my drink and my Venti was Half Full- or you could Say Half Empty. After I instantly seen it was missing part of my Drink the Very Same Barista Said you ordered No Ice & so that's how it comes. There was absolutely no way that I was going to waste My Time or Energy on arguing with this woman to get my drink Corrected & I instead left and called Starbucks. The way they do the customers at this location is ridiculous. This lady clearly has no Customer Service Skill.. or Barista skills. Serving Customers venti Drinks with hardly anything. If I pay for Almond Milk & Extra Foam I expect a Full venti. Every other Starbucks in this town knows how to make it right yet this location is robbing the customers of the money and serving them empty Drinks. From this Day on I will never ever Go to this Location nor will I ever recommend this place. I will tell everyone I know who asks me about Starbucks to avoid this location. I really feel sorry for customers who don't speak up or call to get a refund and think that serving Half drinks are okay! read more

The people who work here make me not wanna off myself, they are always so nice and make my drink perfectly everytime. I usually go to this Starbucks since it's so close to my home! I'm never disappointed. And I have to rave about my favorite barista, her name is Victoria. Every time she serves me, my entire day is made. She has such a sweet soul and her customer service is 10/10. Go Starbucks for hiring such a beautiful human. read more

The service was good but the cleanliness and organization of the shop was not. There were containers on the floor, two milk and two soy jugs just sitting on counters not being refrigerated, a waste trash bin that was nearly overflowing, and a counter that looked very dirty and had not been wiped off. read more

Very dirty store. Male at the cashier was very friendly and helpful, but the rest of the staff looked like zombies. The entire store looked unclean, trash cans overflown and garbage littered the floor and countertops mud and coffee spills on floor. read more

I've had previous experiences at this starbucks location that definitely were a tad annoying but that's just because I feel like they hire a bunch of new people that are still learning -- which is fine. But the experience I had the other day was just uncalled for completely unnecessary. I pull up to the drive thru menu and am greeted very nicely and normally. I say my order (grande iced caramel macchiato with light ice) and the employee replys "is that all?" with a sorta nasty undertone. I say "Yes" and she tells me to "pull up" - again with a bit of an attitude. I think it's a mistake--maybe this is how she talks. It's fine. I pull up to the window and am not greeted at all. In fact my existence is barely acknowledged. I hadn't been to this starbucks location in a while and wasn't prepared for the measures they took during the global pandemic we are currently experiencing. So with the card reader facing me and a glass pane between us the employee says "That'll be $5.11". She doesn't look at me and continues staring behind her (talking to her coworkers I assume.) I'm not sure what the protocol is. My plan was to pay with the app, but with the lack of greeting and card reader in front of me, I got nervous and began looking for my debit card in my wallet. I had a gift card loaded into the app but was too scared and nervous to ask if I could still pay with the app. So I put my card in the reader and, without saying anything, the employee hands me a straw and then my drink. She still doesn't look at me or offer any kind of human decency. The card reader starts beeping, and my anxiety is already kinda high and I'm scared she's gonna say something mean to me if I touch my card too soon, so I let it beep and wait for her to tell me to take it out. She never does. Twenty seconds later, I just pull it out and wait for a response. She shouts "Thank you" into distance and walks away. I felt so small and guilty for ordering from this location. I don't know if the employee had been having a bad day or just had a rude interaction with a different customer. All I know is that they closed in two hours and I didn't seen anyone else in the drive thru and the employee was rude to me. Sorry for being a Karen and writing an entire essay about my experience, but to the girl with wavy/curly light golden/brownish hair that was pulled up into a messy bun with a long sleeve white shirt, I hope your day got better and no one treated you the way you treated me. read more

I know, I know. It's a Starbucks, right? But you've gotta understand, in a land where free public wi-fi is about as easy to find as a strong cup of freshly-roasted espresso this place is a real gem. From my travels in rural Minnesota to the center of Sioux Falls, I'd been having a really rough time finding some free signals (or even pay-per signals) to access. Add to that the lack of good coffee, and I was on the verge of becoming a real beast. Thanks to the good ol' global brain (aka the iPhone), we were able to locate this Starbucks using our "Free Wi-Fi" app. Thank God! Like an oasis in the middle of a frigid landscape, I wandered (well, okay, barreled) into the shop and, to my delight, found comfy leather chairs situated by a window. The wi-fi was easy to access, and fast, and my 12 oz latte was a real winner. I hunkered in for a good two hours and managed to get a lot of work done. Hubs even picked me up a snack from the pizza joint down the street, and we noshed without receiving so much as a sideways glance. But here's where this place earns a bonus star: their customer service. This little shop operates in no way like a part of the behemoth chain from which it claims its moniker. The baristas seemed to know everyone who walked in, and started making their drink right away. As customers left, they were greeted with lilting well-wishes, "Happy Holidays, Merry New Year, Best wishes to you and yours ... " It was like something out of Mayberry! So kudos to the workers here who go above and beyond to treat their customers like they're the most important ones in the room. Here's hoping that Howard Schultz recognizes the obviously good training that your branch manager is providing and gives you a wonderful holiday bonus! Went through drive thru, asked what kinds of syrups they have besides usual vanilla, hazelnut, etc. lady at drive through listed maple pecan which I thought would be delicious- turns out this was a sauce, not a syrup. Sauces contain dairy which I cannot have. So now I get to spend the rest of the day at home because we had a crabby barista who couldn't clarify it was a sauce instead of a syrup. Will not be coming back to this location. read more

Friendly. But they remodeled in summer 2018 and even though it looks nice it's horrible for seating. Four tables awkwardly spaced and then a long and uncomfortable bench that gives off an "airport terminal" vibe. If you're coming here to sit and stay, hope that it's not busy. Amazing! I am a guy named Jacob and I had a person at the register named Edwin help me and he was outstanding. He was so kind and welcoming and complemented me so that I could feel good. The first time I came here I went hey the drive thru and received amazing service from a guy named Luca. Went back today and went inside and it was a totally different experience. The food inside the case was all moldy, all the tables were dirty but there were only 4 people inside. All the employees looked like they didn't even brush their hair before work. Trash on the tables. Just a mess. My son was picking up the trash and putting it in the trash. Needs employees who will clean the place when its dirty and maybe actually get ready for work?? read more

The staff at this location go above and beyond to make sure people are satisfied. They work really well as a team (especially baristas Leah and Valerie- they are both super nice and totally rad). After my second time spending over 20 minutes in the drive thru in the middle of the afternoon (not a typical rush time) I must post a review. First, I've been ordering iced grande drinks and pretty sure I'm getting talls. But my big complaint is the terribly slow service. My orders are always what I'd consider simple - an americano or cold brew - but when I get to the window and pay I still have a wait for my drink that equals what I'd expect for a frapp order. I'd go inside instead of use the drive thru but the parking lot is terrible - there's rarely an open spot and no street parking. The worst is you can't tell if the drive thru is busy before you commit (it runs behind the building) and once you commit you are trapped. Today was the first time I saw someone bail as soon as they could (when you hit the ordering speaker you also hit the spot where you can flee the drive thru). I think it's time give up on my star collecting. read more

I go here as it is most convenient for getting coffee on way to work but I have started driving out of my way because other Starbucks and coffee shops make lattes that are more consistent in taste. rarely are they really good and occasionally they are terrible. I've even taken my drink back a couple times with the hope that they would realize they are doing something wrong! The people their are all nice but I think the coffee is more important to me than a friendly hello. Because i travel a lot I find it interesting that Starbucks across the nation provides a very consistent and enjoyable latte pretty much without fail. I don't understand why that's not the case in Sioux Falls. I have had some really great lattes here, so I know it's possible. Perhaps they don't get enough training or they just get too busy and the quality goes to the ditch. I don't know if they are unorganized or what, but as I type this I have been in the drive thru for 10 minutes and only three cars have moved ahead. I go there everyday. Parking is limited, and while the drive-thru can take a bit, and one never know how many cars are already ahead of their's, at least it HAS a drive-thru, and the drive-thru crews are always friendly. If you're in a hurry, better to go inside. Customer service has almost always been TOP NOTCH and very friendly! read more
