The long John donuts that were in the display case were all cream filled. We asked if there were any that did not have filling. She said they did not, but she would go in the back and frost one for us. We chose to pick two donuts out of the case. One was the chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. unfortunately, it had sprinkles. The other donut was a glazed donut that had a raspberry filling. The donut was average. The raspberry filling was plenty full, but had a flavor not to my liking the chocolate cake doughnut was crunchy. The flavor was fine, but I expected the cake donut to be more soft. Overall, I would give these donuts, a 3.5 star rating.

The atmosphere was really neat, with board games and card games in a shelf easily accessible, shelves of books - even a shelf of free books! I found out halfway through my tour of Sioux Falls that I had left my laptop's charging cord at King Bird Coffee. I phoned the store, and never fear! They took my cord to the back, and when I came in later a few minutes before close, returned the lost cord without any awkwardness and all an atmosphere of happiness to serve. Will definitely be coming back again. Fun fact - one wall of the store is a giant chalk board with a basket of crayon-shaped chalk sticks at the base.
