I didn't get the name of the barista, but she was sweet, friendly, and someone I'd hire, if I was running a business. In fact, there was a very elderly gentleman there who appeared to possibly have some form of dementia. if not, he seemed a little confused. Appeared she knew him, but she was so kind to him. Unfortunately, the Cappuccino was a latte. So many coffee places advertised Cap's, but they put 8 to 12 oz of milk. A Cap has foam only or very little milk and mostly foam. In this way, you get a taste of the espresso, but its tempered. Plus, that's just what a Cap is. If I want a Latte, I'll order that. Taste was fine, had I ordered a Latte. Anyway, shout out for good service, and thus a 3 star. Maybe their other drinks are good.

She said they did not, but she would go in the back and frost one for us. We chose to pick two donuts out of the case. One was the chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. unfortunately, it had sprinkles. The other donut was a glazed donut that had a raspberry filling. The donut was average. The raspberry filling was plenty full, but had a flavor not to my liking the chocolate cake doughnut was crunchy. The flavor was fine, but I expected the cake donut to be more soft. The small-batch Lantern Coffee was very nice. It was dark and rich and with a smooth aftertaste. Maybe next time I'll drive over to Sibley (home of the Generals) and try out their restaurant and coffee bar as well. And judging by the Facebook pictures, it looks live a very handsome and inviting place. They did a good job refurbishing this older building and it looks like a place that I would hang out frequently if I lived here.
