I love some of the baristas here. Great people. But overall the place needs cleaned more regularly. Why can't management keep the employees up on the cleaning? read more

SERVICE... or the lack of service. The manager seems so friendly and he seems to have great manners. I'm not saying they are all bad but 75% of the employees should seek employment elsewhere. I go to Starbucks 2-4 times a week and I'm amazed by the lack of courtesy. One Barista in a loud voice told her fellow workers "I gotta pee I'll be back", (gross). One guy is on his phone constantly while his co workers are hustling about. It's not very clean, rarely do you see anyone wiping off tables, counters etc. To top it off I ask for a pup cup usually every time, once my husband was told, "you know you can order that online" (same girl who had to pee). I actually took my phone in and asked her where to find it, it said unavailable at this store. Another barista we asked for a pup cup she gave it to us and my husband said thank you and she said "yep". I'm not sure anymore why we thank them when we are paying money for the product. I still like Starbucks, but the level of customer service is going downhill. read more

I drive a larger truck so we park to go inside. As usual the lobby is closed. We proceed through the drive through. 3 cars in front of us, no problem. From time we ordered to pick up was 25 minutes. Buy the time we got our oder our 3 frappuchinos where like milk with cream on top. We counted 5 persons working. The window was open the hole time while one employee was stating, " they are paying me the big bucks to here today!" They claimed they was short staffed because people calling in. The Carmel crunch frappuchino had no crumbles on top. They started we mix them in. There was none. I've had several from other locations, they have always been good and had toppings. The drink even had a bad taste of soured milk. Not worth complaining about. Just left and put over $20 dollars in the trash. This location will not last with service like this after 7 brew opens! read more

I have to drive an hour to get Starbucks. Every time I come to this location, the lobby is closed. It's ridiculous. So glad a 7brew is opening down the street. Better coffee and consistency. read more

This doesn't happen all the time but it happens Starbucks you miss the Mark today I came in got my regular drink i came inside instead of going to the drive-thru today got my regular drink and didn't notice it until I got back to work but hardly ice a quarter of it was filled with foam and only half of it was the actual drink itself unfortunately in a small town like this we don't have very many options but mistakes like this will drive me away as a customer I am not happy today we'll try again tomorrow read more

Location is consistently out of basic items like tea bags, stoppers etc. There is always an aweful wait in the drive through AND the lobby. Additionally, very poor communication with lobby guests and when you have waited for 10-20 minutes you receive attitude from the staff. Tried placing an online order today to avoid that whole mess. Not worth it either. Phone said 6-9 minutes until it would be ready. We showed up 15 minutes later, it hadn't even been started yet and the barista made a point to tell us that SEVERAL drinks were still ahead of us with immense attitude. Just skip this location all together. So saddening, love Starbucks normally. read more

I was beyond excited to find this Starbucks was still open! The caramel ribbon crunch frappuccino is excellent! The gentleman that helped me at the drive-through window was fantastic! Even though he was wearing a mask I could tell by the tone of his voice and the crinkle in his eyes that he was smiling and he was genuine when he complemented my nails and told me to have a great day. This is only the second time that I have been to this Starbucks, but, the workers have always been fantastic and I've never had any problems with my order. I highly recommend checking it out! Happy drinking Yelpers! read more

I've been here twice in the last few days. This is the most efficient and polite franchise of Starbucks I've ever been too and I travel the country.. Congrats to all the amazing employees at this location!!!! read more

I love Starbucks but their drinks can be too sweet sometimes but their breakfast food like the chocolate croissant or the spinach, feta & egg white wrap are amazing, I've never tasted anything like that before absolutely amazing! read more

I was asked 3 times to repeat my order, the third time I repeated it, I talked louder and slower. She RUDELY told me not to talk to her like that!! Then she got my food order wrong and I had to return it and get what I ordered. I'm glad I'm only here for the Ragtime Festival. I hope she is gone next year when we come back! read more

The worst Starbucks ever! I travel through Sedalia often and I always hope it's better the next time and I'm often disappointed. If they didn't close early there will be long wait times. Today was the deciding factor to never go back. Went inside after drive they didn't budge for awhile. 5 employees but only one person making drinks and she was moving slow. 20 minutes later my drink was made! Went to leave and couldn't get out because drive thru cars were in way. Finally cars moved up one space and I realized no way to exit except the way I came in which was lined with cars for drive thru. I was stuck until drive thru moved again so cars could pull over more to let me by! I can't believe I wasted 30 minutes of my travel time on this one drink. Starbucks should send corporate here and get these people retrained and extend drive thru lanes to allow people to exit! read more

Came thru the drive thru for happy hour; I handed the girl a gift card I was gifted and told her I was a gold member and wanted to transfer the balance to my member card (so that I can collected my stars) I guess she didn't understand because my card balance is the same and I didn't receive my stars... tbh, the star program keeps me coming back. It's very disappointing considering it's a corporate issue and they don't deal with star rewards in the stores (rewards can be redeemed but they employees can not settle any disputes regarding the program).... read more

I'm always disappointed at the speed of service at this Starbucks, but I return time and again hoping for change. That was not the issue when I visited today. My daughter and I were so excited for pumpkin spice season. She ordered the iced pumpkin spice latte and I ordered the pumpkin cream cold brew. No cold brew available today...ok, no biggie, I ordered the iced pumpkin spice latte, too. What we got was 2 iced lattes, no pumpkin with whip. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. This was the last time I will visit this location. read more

I am literally in line waiting ... have been nearly 30 min. .. cannot escape the line, as I have a screaming baby. They stated they have no way to make any of the pumpkin drinks . That just came out. Like damn guys I know it's a basic girl drink, but hell no apology for the wait nothing. read more

Literally waited 30 minutes for a black coffee. That is all. Just black coffee. I completely understand preparing orders in the order they are received, however my daughter was in the drive through line and got her order well before I did and I clearly ordered before her. It was just annoying. read more

Service could be better, baristas do a lot of gossiping/talking instead of making your order resulting in a long wait when the restaurant/drive-through aren't even busy. P.s. 3 stars are for the 3 gossipers read more

Fast courteous service and reliably good to excellent Starbucks coffee. I never eat the food here so no review on that. read more

Took forever, employees paying more attention to only drive thru customers and online orders. If Starbucks can't handle the volume, hire more people. I waited for practically an hour. My triple shots latte tasted sooo light. Wasted time and money. My pic is showing people WAITING forever for drinks. Inside of the place was not even packed. read more

Starbucks - customers at the counter of a coffee shop - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Sedalia, Missouri

WOW!! I stayed away for a long time because of the drama laden, unprofessional, unkind customer service I've always received here. But I love my coffee, so I kept coming off and on. Lol and behold, I'm here this afternoon 9.5.17 @330 in the afternoon and was blown away by the friendly, nice young people working here. The cashier, a young man and the barista with braces, were outgoing and on point. One star lost for the large number of flies in the store and especially the pastry showcase. Gross. read more

There was about six people working and the store was a mess with very slow service. The servers were nice but can't help wondering why they need so many employees and still couldn't keep up. Maybe need better managers to instruct?? read more

I needed a pick me up on my way back to kc so I stopped in at the Sedalia location. Not only did my simple order of a small coffee take to make. Upon first sip it was so burnt I just couldn't drink it. I hope people have a better experience because I won't be back to this location Two thumbs down for service. 1 star rating for quality of product. Ok so I went back to give this location another shot, and again, terrible service, driver thru barista was rude, non friendly and she got my damn order wrong!!! I ordered a frappe with coffee in it. No coffee and it was terrible!!! read more

Come here all the time. I am only giving it 4/5 stars due to the parking lot. Some days the line is super slow (which i get) but if i am on my way to work i can not get out no matter how badly i needed to... Employees are always so pleasant. I've never had issues other than the parking lot. read more

Left several reviews and contacted Starbucks directly 3 times. I yet have no response whatsoever to the dirty Sedalia, MO store. The final time i visited the store it was infested by fruit flies that breed in syrups and in the building. The frape made my husband sick and he was in the bathroom for days afterward. My frape had the residue of a brightly colored drink in it that was from someone else's beverage. And, an employee that was mopping up an overflowed toilet that went all over the store was bothering someone in line to take their order. That just seemed really gross to me, too. I have not since returned. read more

Drinks were on point and the staff was very friendly. Not very much seating at this location and a little loud because the seating is close to the blenders. Parking is also a little tight outside. read more

Good Starbucks. Well managed, well trained and friendly staff. I observed the manager proactively correcting and training her people in a non confrontational way on the fly. read more

I love Starbucks, well coffee in general. For some odd reason I always always have trouble with my order and the staff. If it's not my order had been made wrong, it's the rude staff that for some reason feels elevated for working in a coffee house. This is the Starbucks I hate going but have no other option. I'm not saying all the staff is rude but I would say 80% of them are. 80% of the times I've been there my drink has been made the wrong way. They are quick to replace, I will say that. read more

I was honestly very disappointed coming to this starbucks. i am also a starbucks partner so i totally understand stress and when it gets busy and stuff but this was just unacceptable. i waited 40 minutes for 3 drinks, and 2 food items. i had to constantly ask where my food was and they literally had all the food for drive through and none for the cafe or mobiles. and also the girl who took my order was new and she didn't know where anything was which i understand but even the girl she asked for help didn't know where anything was!!!!! i am a very patient and understanding person but i was so upset and disappointed. never coming again to this location. drive through is just as bad. you will be sitting there for 30 minutes minimum. people were nice but really bad service. smh. read more

Every time I visit the Sedalia location they never make my Chai Tea Latte right it always tastes watered down and today was no different. However I watched the lady make the wrong drink in my cup dump it out and then remake my drink in the same cup so it came extra nasty. And if that wasnt enough insult my breakfast sandwich was served to me still cold. Tried calling the store to talk to a manager as I did not have time to turn around and there was no answer. What a waste of money is how I feel. read more

Constantly out of products by 9am. Employees taking orders that don't know what green tea and Oolong tea are. Online hours don't make store hours. Some days they are open, some days they aren't. Pulled in at 7am to the drive through and ordered two venti, plain drip coffees, two breakfast sandwiches and a piece of banana bread. "I can do all of that for you!", exclaimed the employee. She read our order back to us and left off the banana bread, added it back on and said she'd have a new total at the window. 15 minutes later we pulled up to the window and were handed a grande white chocolate mocha. Ummm, we asked for two venti pikes. "Can I get a venti pike on the fly?!", we hear from inside. On the fly?! You had 15 minutes!! After we had our coffees handed to us, we were wished a good day. Ummm, we ordered two breakfast sandwiches, and banana bread? "Oh", the window worker vacantly expressed, "they didn't put your order in". 17 minutes in the drive thru, two coffees and no food later we pulled away in frustration! Don't know how you have someone whisper their order in your ear and not put it in. This trip was a waste of valuable time on an early morning trip to KC and the vacancy and cluelessness of the employees was irritating at best. Do yourself a favor, go across the street to McDonald's, you'll spend a fraction of the money and time. Two Thumbs Down. read more
