We had one of the best breakfasts we've had in a long time at Clair's North 65 Cafe! The food was excellent, the coffee was fresh and delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. I really loved that they offered authentic Mexican breakfast options mixed in with traditional breakfast favorites. My husband ordered the Columbia Breakfast, and I had the meat omelette with added onions, green peppers, and tomatoes. Everything was cooked perfectly. The breakfast potatoes were absolutely amazing -- crispy, flavorful, and honestly some of the best we've ever had. I had toast, and my husband tried the arepa, which was fantastic. Everything was wonderful, the service was excellent, food was hot, tasty, and plentiful, the restaurant was clean. Only in Sedealia for 10 days, but will definitely return. Had a cheese omelette. It is a n ok frills down home country dine. Nothing fancy, just good home cooking that was worth the stop. We had the biscuits and gravy, eggs and hashbrowns. Everything was scratch cooked and done well. The eggs were cooked exactly line we ordered. There are not many places nowadays that can make an over easy egg without messing them up. Service was good, fast friendly and efficient. Too bad they only do breakfast and lunch. I would have liked to try their other food. read more

Our party of 3 came in for our first time and it was a great experience. We showed up late morning for breakfast; ordered Colombian breakfast, French toast breakfast and cinnamon muffin; everything was delicious. The friendly waitresses stayed busy and did a great job keeping everyone happy. Prices were reasonable and the portions were right on par with the deliciousness. There was not a "home made" meal there for breakfast. The hash browns and the biscuits were frozen prior. I asked if I can get a small or a half order of grits, I was told they came in there own packages and was only one size. My daughter ordered a sunny side up egg and the whites were not cooked. I was in Sedalia for a conference and decided to give this place a try for breakfast on my way home. This place is the quintessential "greasy spoon" When you walk in you are greeted by a collection of mismatched tables and chairs, reminiscent of so many places where I've found good food at good prices. North 65 Cafe is no exception. I knew I was in the right place when, after being seated, I noticed the state, county, and municipal constabulary all seated together having breakfast. In my mind that is the next best thing to seeing several tractor-trailer rigs in the parking lot! The service was great, the staff friendly and the food tasty, hearty, and filling. I chose my standard fare; sausage and eggs. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the hash-browns plentiful. The only down side was that the sausage appeared to be Jimmy Dean frozen patties. I was hoping for some local farmer's secret recipe sausage, but alas, it was not to be. I definitely plan to stop here on my next trip to Sedalia. Perhaps that time I will check out the dinner menu. read more

They must have followed Mary F's advice...yesterday the place was immaculate, including the bathroom. Anyway, I like to try small cafe Sunday fried chicken dinners. This one was outstanding. Chicken was delicious, spicy and not at all greasy. Most chicken I have tried lacks pepper and is rather boring, so this was a real treat. Fresh house salad with dressng on the side. Mashed potatoes with white gravy was pretty good as were the green beans; good enough that we couldn't tell if they were canned or fresh. (Corn is an option) They serve biscuits, not dinner rolls. I found them OK, not great. Two piece dinner, with drink, $9. Four piece dinner is about $11. Chicken on Sunday only, and they close at 1:00. If you like fried chix with a little kick, give this place a try. They have a pretty big menu in case you want to try, say, a tenderloin or whatever. read more

We went Friday night 03/04/2016. We have been there several times and normally the food is decent and service is satisfactory. We go because we are a large group with several kids under 8. They have karaoke on Friday nights. Sometimes you find great karaoke other times no so much. But, We go knowing that. BUT, this past Friday was the WORST experience I have ever had in 40 years with a waitress!! My daughter who is 8 ordered 2 corn dogs for her meal. That is all she got!! When she took a bite of the first corndog it was still frozen on the inside. Brown on the outside but frozen inside. We showed the waitress. She ROLLED her eyes and took it back to the kitchen. My daughter proceeded to take a bite of the second corn dog. Which was frozen as well. I understand mistakes happen. They have a huge variety of food they offer. When the waitress returned with the already ate off corndog cut in half and fully cooked. OMG We said THANKS I GUESS. But this one is frozen as well. SHE again threw a little fit with her eye rolls and facial expressions. It was so obvious even to the 8 year old she apologized to us for not wanting to eat a frozen corn dog. It really upset us that this waitress acted this way enough our 8 year old thought she had done something wrong by NOT wanting to eat a frozen corn dog. There was many more rude facial expressions and eye rolls through out the remainder of the meal from this young lady. We kindly left a tip for this RUDE immature young lady. BUT, we will not be returning anytime soon. read more
