The table salsa was very mild but when we requested spicy salsa it did not disappoint! The steak was yummy and the tamale to my surprise is the best authentic tamale I've found in a restaurant. (They covered it in a chili and bean mixture- not authentic but is common practice in the US) The entire staff is very attentive, friendly and helpful!! Walking in to modest decor, simple but ample seating, no frills, but clean and well kept. There are several tv's and overhead music. The staff was friendly, but limited English speaking. We ordered a steak quesadilla and the steak taquitos plate for under $30. My son said the quesadilla was very flavorful, but not spicy. It was the size of a dinner plate. He enjoyed it, but he stated that it was pretty greasy. I don't normally order taquitos, but what the heck, I threw caution into the wind and went for it. They were pretty tasty, but needed more salt. With a little fresh lime and fresh salsa it was yummy. There were beans and rice on the plate which was also good. One thing that I really loved was the salsa bar. You can find fresh salsa of various types and garnishes to accompany your meal. I will say, the red sauce lit me up. With that being said I am a Missouri country girl and pepper was spicy. It had great flavor though. We will return. Four stars as I thought it needed more seasoning.
