Returned to our favorite coffee off I-70 after spending night in Blackwater. We had breakfast at the coffee shop below the airbnb we were staying at, and were so disappointed in the coffee strength and wet breakfast sandwich that we decided to return here and try their biscuits and gravy, and of course have real coffee. The coffee never disappoints, and the biscuits and gravy were good. I've never been disappointed with food here. Yesterday we had picked up some Angus beef sandwiches, which are their signature sandwiches and are very good. Finally also bought one of their cute coffee cup tumblers here too. Food was excellent. Iced chai latte was not a brewed chai tea, but had the spices added so they settled at the bottom. Very nice inside but desperately needs some outdoor space added. There was a large loud party and the building didn't have any components to dampen it. The staff was overwhelmed by the speciality drink orders which really slowed down the pace. We also bought the raw honey jar at $18 and a jar of jam at $11. The "boutique" items are cute but they need prices displayed. I was traveling back to St. Louis from Kansas City when I saw this cute place! The ladies at the front counter were respectful and your name is called out when your order is ready. I ordered the seasonal Campfire Chai and the half sandwich of the Signature Slow-Cooked Angus Beef with a side of Boulder Kettle Chips. The flavors of the sandwich were not too overpowering and everything blended well. The Campfire Chai was refreshing and so good! Definitely a cute spot to sit down in if you're traveling. The restaurant was also decorated very nice- with an interior of casual mixed with modern flair. I am assuming it is also religious based as there were Psalms being displayed on the television in the main dining area! Super cute place! read more

Very nice new interior, excellent food. I had the fancy salmon bagel, daughter ordered the avacado toast. Both were tasty, as was the coffee. We picked up some locally grown natural grass fed beef steaks to go that they producedon their ranch about five miles away so it'slocal beef. Service was quick and friendly. read more

I just read someone's review that stated this was an oasis and I couldn't possibly have picked a better word myself. There seems to be nothing out here off of 70, but then you pull off and there is this bright, clean, welcoming coffee joint with yummy sandwiches. The people were friendly, food was good, and did I mention it was clean? We both ordered the sunrise breakfast sandwiches (YUM). My husband got a drip coffee and I got a monthly special -- the mudhopper (dirty matcha, oat milk, with a simple syrup) -- it slapped. Would recommend to anyone looking to stop for coffee! read more

This is one of those gold mine finds! We were just driving down I-70 , looking for a good cup of coffee. The coffee shop is on a no-nothing exit and nothing fancy on the outside, but we were very surprised to find a modern unique beautifully decorated atmosphere with homemade gourmet sandwiches, pastries, grass beef, coffees, teas and such, even served on real pottery dishes with real utensils-- no plastic forks and paper cups here! I finally stopped by this little gem of an eatery. The Nelson Chicken on gluten free bread was amazing, indulged a lavender white chocolate latte. The staff were very friendly. The interior is decorated lovely. They offer local beef and a small gift shop area. When I pass by J this will be my stop! read more

This marks the 32nd round trip from SC to CA and back . I have passed cooper's and never stopped till today 3/10/23 4pm . I am currently kicking myself for not stopping sooner . After a long driving 28 hours driving I needed a break . Snagged 2 small pastries and a chai with honey for the road . Wishing I grabbed more because those little pastries were absolutely amazing and the chai is pretty good itself . If you want to sit and relax this I'd definitely the place . Has to be the largest coffee shop ever , this place is the size of a restaurant . We're from Florida and heading to the Rocky Mountains in our RV. Stopped to get gas and noticed this coffee shop across the street. I was only gonna get an iced coffee but I looked at their website and their sandwiches and soups sounded delicious. Loved everything about this place!!!!!!!! I got their lox (salmon) sandwich on an everything bagel with cream cheese, capers, arugula, cucumber and capers. Omg....so very good!!! Mexican Corn soup was one of their soups today. I don't eat meat and it had no meat and was so tasty. All sandwiches come with a choice of potato chips or an apple. Then, I got an iced lavender white mocha coffee. Perfect. Their interior is gorgeous as well and very inviting and modern looking. What a great place!!!!! Next time I'm in Missouri I gotta remember to come here. We were driving through from Maryland to see my mom in Kansas and stopped for lunch. The interior is inviting, but even by East Coast standards it is expensive and the service was barely friendly. I ordered a 1/2 sandwich and it was barely 5 bites. The London Fog had too much Lavender and was quite expensive. I'm not from the area, so I doubt I will ever be back. read more

Ill start with the good with the place. It's the only spot to have a sit down meal off this highway exit. The place is nice and roomy, comfortable booths and tables,.and a huge bathroom which are all a plus for right off the highway. But now with the not so good. This sandwich with a bag of chips was $13.95, with the chips or an apple option being a $4 upcharge for either one. This is Nelson MO not Manhattan, for a sandwich this size it was way overpriced. I live in St.Louis city and the sandwiches I get for that price are 2 to 3 times the size. My wife's sandwich was even smaller, granted it was $9.95 with the bag of chips. We were really hoping for a more polished version of farm raised food. The food was tasty, but the portion sizes are an insult and we really wished we would've just drove a little farther and went to Midway Truck Stop for a meal. read more

What a pleasant find. We were headed home from out of town, saw the signs, verified the reviews and made the stop. The decor was adorable and welcoming.
