2 years ago service was exceptional now I wouldn't even call it service. Its Monday (FREE PIE DAY) and no pie available. Our server said there was 2 pies in oven. So we ate then ordered an apple pie fresh out of the oven that was ICE COLD!!!! It looked like bring your kid to work day with 2 little kids were running around. I couldn't even check in on the tablet for points because it was dead. The lady at the counter said our manager is in Oklahoma right now so we are trying to keep things up. This is my 2nd time going to Perkins for breakfast. The 1st time they failed to give me any syrup. The 2nd they only gave me one turkey sausage patty & when the lady gave me my food she dropped it so hard on the glass countertop that the plastic top of the container popped off. I'm not going back for a 3rd to see how they can continue to fail a customer. I'll just buy the ingredients & make it at home myself. Second time I've been and walked out due to taking close to an hour waiting for food and it still never got any food and we even had to wave the waitress down to ask about our food because she never came to check on us after serving our drinks and taking our orders, the first time me and my family walked out was several years ago due to the same wait over an hour for food that never came, so sad that this is an issue they can't get resolved it's one thing to be understanding when it's busy and they are short staff but to not even come check. Still terrible. Worst breakfast I've had in a long time. It took over an hour to get our food. I feel sorry for the waitresses, there were only two of them. Just close if you can't do better. There's no since putting people through this. The generic food is terrible anyway, but when it's cooked poorly and left to dry out in a warming oven it's even worse. Wow! Where to begin. Saturday morning visit, it was busy but not full. Host came and sat us after cashing out a customer. We were seated in the smaller section to the left. Table was sticky to the touch. Maybe 10 minutes later Mike came over to take just drink order, at this point being told they were out of soft drinks. Coffee came out several minutes later, nice and strong and hot. Still didn't take our order. Then I noticed nobody in our section had food and several had not yet ordered. He returned and took all the tables orders at once. We waited more that an hour for the meals, it was ridiculous. He checked in on us once and said they are almost ready, which was not true. Didn't offer to bring any more coffee. Table behind us walked out. Table next to us was missing items and Mike had misheard an order, not picked up cause he didn't repeat the order back. Finally meal arrived, shocker it was lukewarm! By this time we were ravenous and just wanted to eat and leave. Mike spilt half the breakfast potatoes on the floor as he was in such a hurry getting the plates off the tray. Eggs way overdone, pancakes too, French toast tasted like meat. Disaster really. He never returned to check on us. When paying I was asked how everything was I mentioned the horrendous wait, 86'd items, filthy restaurant and cold meal. Pies and coffee... this establishment has the best coffee and pies, hands down my favorite is the lemon meringue. I have never really eaten here other than pie but my family and I went in to eat, talk and be merry. I had the steak and bacon meal? Some people had breakfast and one had a bacon burger. Bacon burger had some flavor but not the best burger in town. The steak and bacon skillet had a lot of favor. The rice was okay, our waitress Chelsea said it was better with seasoned potatoes instead of the rice. Chelsea was nice, attentive, quick with helping us. I would request her if we went back. The establishment is out dated like all Perkins but doesn't look bad, this location appeared clean and was very quiet. Matter of fact, the only time I've seen any Perkins location busy was back 30 years ago when we filled one with all of our family for a celebration of an anniversary. Four members of my family went to Perkins in Sedalia for New Year's Day . Three of us got the turkey and stuffing , with mashed potatoes. We all three got diarrhea and stomache ache . We are thinking the turkey was bad . We aren't happy at all . One person in our party had the prime rib sandwich snd fries . He said it was good but hardly any meat on his sandwich and very little fries and was 17.99 wow ! We won't be returning that's for sure . Came to a busy but clean Perkins Restaurant & Bakery with few servers for breakfast with family and I was impressed with our server. When she asked what we wanted I noticed she didn't have a note pad or tablet and she asked another table for their food order before she walked back to the kitchen; so I was unsure if we were going to be receiving what we had ordered. Except that was not the case, she was on point with everyone's order. I thanked and praised her for her proficiency. My family and myself came in on Wednesday night, we were traveling home(colorado) from New York after saying our last goodbyes to my father. We were tired hungry and drained. We stopped atu Sedalia perkins and it was EVERYTHING I needed. We were seated and had our drinks in less than 5 minutes and had our food in about the same. The manager Jessica stopped by our table and really made us feel like family which was needed at this time, she colored with my son, and I know i said it alot that night but thank you again. Not sure why this place only has 3 stars but our breakfast was excellent. Customer service was on point from both the server in training (Devon) and the manager /hostess. The music was good and not too loud and the pla e has a good energy, plus the prices were great. My wife went on and on about how excellent her BLT and tater tots were. She also had a pumpkin/donut muffin and said it was the best muffin she had in a long time. We live about 90 minutes away or we'd be there more often. A++++ read more

Perkins does a great job, they make your food a great experience. Sedalia goes above most perkins for service and quality. We usually go to lee summit it is really good also, but we found this one and now can go either direction from Warrensburg for quality family dining. I go to Perkins in Sedalia for breakfast or lunch. Yesterday Morgan waited on me. One of the reasons I eat at Perkins is Morgan. Morgan has worked at Perkins for a long time. She is very professional and definitely manager material. She takes the order by just listening and delievers my order exactly as I requested. She always is very calm and nice. I am not sure if I want my $40 or my hour wasted in there back more. The service there was horrid and the manager insincere. We were there over 5 minutes before the waitress even acknowledged us and god forbid we actually wanted drinks/refills. When I got my pot pie it was not even half full of filling and when my husband finally chased someone down, yep he had to get up to find someone, it was treated as a huge imposition to fix it. I got to enjoy the distinctive pleasure of watching my family eat while I sat there waiting and everyone staring at me after finishing their food when mine finally came. New to the area and decided to dine in. Our waitress Marilyn was quick to seat out family of six (2adults 4kids-9,7,3,&2yrs) in a spacious booth and remained patient while we figured out our orders. Our plates came out timely and delicious; the roasted asparagus and tomatoes brought great flavor to my shrimp pasta and my husband enjoyed his chicken biscuit breakfast dish. The French toast and pancakes were a hit with the kiddos and the free slice pie Monday was icing on the top. Clean and tidy stalls made the several trips to the restroom tolerable. Not good and the lead working could care less about our meal it was so spicy chicken fried steak, the gravy was pepper out and we didnt eat half of our food. I love this restaurant! If you want good breakfast, lunch, dinner, or desert, this is your one stop shop! The waiters always refill drinks in a timely manner, they are polite and we get seated quickly. I always have my eggs sunny side up and they are never slimy. Im very picky with my eggs too. This the worst Perkins I have ever eaten in. Usually I like Perkins, especially their muffins. I ate both dinner and breakfast here. Great clean restaurant with tasty good food! Our waiter Alex and D'rea ALWAYS give excellent service, every time. Tonight Alex helped us use our coupons to get the most bang for our buck. I had the chicken tortilla plate and it was super GOOD! Salmon over rice with veggies was great also, maybe could use a few more veggies. We always come for the Monday free pie.
