It is a busy Starbucks that is centrally located at the corner of 7th & Westlake in a large Amazon skyscraper office building that has a number of dining options on the ground floor. It is regularly busy in the morning on weekdays. I would recommend ordering ahead if possible. It is a more upscale location so the shop interior is more aesthetically pleasing than a typical Starbucks. The only thing I fault the store and the chain as a whole is that their pastries are terribly small and expensive. But overall this is a decent Starbucks in a convenient location. read more

Was walking by the Starbucks and ordered an iced lemon loaf. This is never happened before but this lemon loaf was disgusting. It was chalky and tasted raw or undercooked or something. About two bites in I mentioned it to the person behind the counter, they just stared at me. Thought they would ask if I would like a replacement or a refund, but they didn't say anything. Stopped by the Starbucks near the Amazon building and loved that it opens as early as 4:30 a.m. It is perfect for early risers like me. The store is very clean and well-organized, with a calm and efficient vibe even in the early hours. Street parking is available nearby, and there's also the option to park in the Amazon building. One female barista was very friendly to offer me to make a new drink to me since the old one looked kinda weird. However, this rude male barista stopped her, threw away my old drink and forced me to make a new payment in order to get a new one! Super rude attitude. I am not a coffee Snob, so when I take the time to write this review there is a problem! The order I place every other day is the same and basic. I order a 16oz drip coffee with 2% milk. Due to the todays norm, I'm not allow to pour the right amount of 2% milk in my coffee. That falls into the hands of the barista, and i tried my best to direct them on the proper amount. Which is a light blonde tint. So i will say 1/2" of milk. I'm paying close to $4 for a cup of coffee and what I receive at times is totally unacceptable! If you're not into super sweet drinks or watching your sugar intake, then the Nitro Flat White might be perfect for you! No sugar is necessary to cover that bittery burntness. It's creamy and light, with 2 shots of espresso. If you need a bit of sweetness go and try the Nitro Peach Tea. It has a nice bouquet of peachyness with a bit of bubble to remind you of summer. If you like a bit more coffee power, go with the Nitro Brew. Looks like a nice pint of Guinness when being poured by tap. Plus it never hurts to add a shot of Sweet Cream. read more

I think I'm pretty easy going. Common courtesy goes a long way. Starbucks food is predictably good, so that's not really an issue. My orders are simple. Drip coffee with room for cream. I was the only person in line. The person at the counter didn't even look up and acknowledge I was there. He waited for me to order, looking at whatever was on his hands the whole time. The only thing asked was "that all?" Then "name" then the price. When I got the coffee it was filled to the brim with no cream. It took me four tries to get someone's attention, then I watched grab it, pour a quarter of our and fill the rest with half &half and then hand it back with "sorry". No eye contact. This store needs a basic course in common courtesy and a review in professionalism. The only thing that's consistent is the spinach feta wrap, which is why I come in the first place. read more

Super disappointing experience here! I called the day before an event asking for two travelers of coffee, they took my name, my order, and said we'll see you at 9:15 the next morning. I even double checked I had the right location. The next morning, at 9:15, I get in line as instructed, get to the register and ask for my order and literally every barista has no idea what I'm talking about. The cashier says they can brew this for me since my order was apparently lost, and she says it will take 25 MINUTES! Are you kidding? After asking her to do everything she can to expedite this, since I was expecting to walk out with my coffee for a meeting in another building at 9:20... she says that it could take sooner, like 10 minutes. 10 and 25 are a HUGE difference! Luckily, the coffee was ready by 9:30, which gave me 15 minutes to get it back to the building my meeting was in. Now, I understand that orders get lost, however the right thing to have done in this situation would have been to offer me something in exchange for their incompetence. If they had comped a coffee, or even just offered me an espresso drink on the House, my experience would have felt totally different. Came here as I was visiting Seattle on vacation and found this Starbucks directly under a building with a big smile. WiFi here surprisingly does not feel like fiber, as when I ran a speed test I didn't get the same speeds up and down. However, drinks came out just the same as most Starbucks do. That is one thing that Starbucks gets right usually: Consistency. The orientation at this Starbucks is a little interesting. Usually you'll find the "great table" somewhere near the middle of the store, but at this location, the great table is located parallel to the cashier area. There happens to be another sort of long table but not quite long off to the side of the store. There are three doors coming in and out of this Starbucks. Great Starbucks, would return if in the SLU area again. read more

- Virgin Visit - After my hubby's non-stop rave about the new nitro brews, he convinced me to come and try. I've never been in this store so I was really excited at the open air feeling. This is a great place to bring my girl friends for our monthly cafe dates. I tried the Torched Vanilla Nitro Brew and my other half chose the Lake Union Fog (he's had a nitro flat white last time and he's on a kick on trying every single one of them). My drink was unfortunately 'meh', the flavor was too diluted and could not really taste the coffee (taste akin to drinking plain soy milk,it wasn't soy based). However my hubby's drink was delish so I will still give it another go with a different flavor. They lost a on my drink but did well on other things. The baristas were very kind and friendly and even offered to refill my ice water bottle. Top notch folks! I love the abundance of surface areas for folks to stand or sit down. I especially appreciate the seemingly wider space behind the counter to accommodate the amazing folks who make our daily ambrosia. Don't worry everyone - this isn't the first in my "travel around Seattle and review Starbucks" series. I'm pretty sure that would take at least a year, considering there are hundreds of Starbucks in Seattle alone. This one was pretty unique. I tried this spot out because it's very close to my work (and located within the Amazon Doppler for all you Amazonians out there). This Starbucks is nice and expansive; a big, clean space with tables for checking tables, reading, and doing work. I noticed that the queue was quite short, but there were a lot of people waiting for their drinks - I quickly figured out that half of their orders are mobile orders made by people who work at Amazon. They seemed to be a little under-staffed for how busy they were, but all the baristas seemed professional and fast. I've worked as a Starbucks barista myself and can attest that they were pumping the right # of syrups per drink, etc. It took about 10 minutes for me to get my drink. I ordered a 16 oz ice soy latte, but they made me a 12 oz instead. When I told the barista, she was nice and courteous about it; she put my drink into a cup without another word, brewed up another espresso shot, and added a bit more ice and soy milk to my cup. All in all good service. There seemed to be an impressive selection of ice coffees (especially some nitro cold brews that I've never seen at any other Starbucks locations), so I will definitely be back to try some of their specialty drinks. read more

This location has multiple nitro options. The uncaffeinated peach nitro tea was a great. Mocha nitro was my favorite, but the lake Union was al very good. The staff was friendly and helpful in choosing which option we wanted and was best for us (lactose intolerant person and an uncaffeinated/ decaf person) read more
