We found this location to be a close and easy place to stop in as we drove on I-95. I like the reliability of the Starbucks brand when I travel and need to make a quick stop. The newer building boasts a drive-thru, outdoor seating, indoor spaces to relax, solid service, and the standard Starbucks food and drink. We kept our visit short, but I enjoyed a Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew for a few minutes and then headed back to I-95. read more

Went in at 7:15 with two friends. Asked if dining room was open bc all the chairs were put on tables already. They said yes. We placed coffee order and sat in dining room in the cushioned chairs. Employees constantly turned music up to where we had to talk louder to hear over it. If they had to close early due to employee staffing issues or something that could have been said up front. The men's bathroom had feces spilling out of the toilet surrounded by a mountain of toilet paper. The worker in charge who I assume is the manager was very angry. Wrong order all around and extremely long wait. We waited 20 minutes to get the wrong order which further delayed our wait. We ordered a venti ice shaken espresso with light ice and a venti cafe mocha with coconut milk. What we got was an Ice Shaken Brown Sugar with oat milk and half ice and a grande cafe mocha. Your typical Starbucks, rude employees. Disappointed because I experienced it here at this location. The cashier that assisted us today was the one wearing a blue shirt and just seemed to hate her life or working for that matter. When I asked a question related to the coffee I was getting she just stared at me like I was dumb for asking a question, her expression that she gave me was like "are you serious" and/or "are you dumb" look. I really don't like when I'm traveling through a state where the people are rude especially when you're on vacation. I hope the customer service gets better in this location. It was January 6, 2020 and our second stop at this particular store. So how many times have you found yourself on I-95 looking for a nice place to stop and get a good meal, use a clean restroom and stretch your legs? Well, going both northbound and southbound over the course of a week, we found ourselves at this "oasis" both directions. The service is outstanding, the employees are extremely prompt and helpful, and this is the place to be! I have been to dozens, if not hundreds, of Starbucks locations over the past 20 years. This location is the one I wish I could plant in my backyard and visit every morning. If you find yourself on I-95 and are looking for a great (not good....great) place to stop, this is the place. This location sometimes does not show up on searches. It's directly off the exit and next to a little gas station / country type store to buy local items as well as an antique store. Wait to stop at this Starbucks as it's in a cuter location than stopping at an exit filled with random corporate chains. As a female who travels I-95 for work and to visit family, I'm grateful for this Starbucks. It's a safe place to stop for a coffee or bathroom break in the small town of Santee. The menu is typical Starbucks fare, so you know what you're getting. You can pay and earn rewards with the app. Since we're traveling in the time of 'rona, indoor dining is closed, but you can go inside to place your order or go to the bathroom. I'm surprised at the low reviews. This Starbucks is new and the only one in this area, so be patient and give the employees some grace. The other option is to wait another hour until you reach Florence for your fix, as this area lacks other coffee shops. If you're traveling northbound, Starbucks is on the right as soon as you exit the interstate. I'll happily stop here instead of a truck stop, rest stop, or sketchy gas station. read more

I am an avid Starbucks drinker and this location is awful. My drink never comes out right and I mean EVER. I always order extra ice - they barely give me any. Whenever I order vanilla sweet cream cold foam, it tastes like nothing. No flavor. Whenever I order 3/4' of almond milk - they fill the entire cup with almond milk. Might as well just give me almond milk in a cup. I mean there's tickets on the cup for a reason. I just don't understand how it could be that bad. I've asked them to remake my drink once before and it still came out wrong. It's not even that I'm picky. The directions are literally all on the ticket. I live in this area and get coffee often. Be prepared to wait 30 minutes in the drive thru. If you come here and the line goes past the ordering box, you will ALWAYS wait 20 - 30 minutes guaranteed. The employees don't really care. One time I waited at the window after I paid for my drink. The person working at the window was just talking to their coworkers in the store. After 5 more minutes of waiting (on top of the 30 minutes already), I got fed up and asked where my drink was. It was sitting on the counter behind the them the whole time. read more

I have gone to this Starbucks since it opened. Until a few months ago I would have rated it a "3 star" but in the last three months or so it's gotten much better! There were a lot of vehicles in the parking lot, with more people sitting & standing. There were 7- employees behind the counter. They were not meshing and flowing like most Starbucks. One of the other patrons said they'd only been open a week. The employees were overwhelmed , but appeared to be doing their best. The manager finally verified my order & made my drinks. Had my worst experience ever at a Starbucks here EVER. Staff was very disorganized and after a 30 minute wait, I tried to get a refund. I became the problem several minutes later they finally gave me my order. When traveling long distance, the last thing you want to do is wait over 35 minutes for a lousy cup of coffee. If I could give this store a 0 I would. I went through the drive thru and I ordered a grande Carmel frap. When I got to the window, the male employee gave me a grande Carmel crunch frap. I told him that's not what I ordered and he kindly said pull forward and I will bring it out to your car. I parked in the parking lot. A female employee brought my drink out to the car, and this is where I didn't appreciate her customer service. She stated that the drinks were similar to one another. I told her I tried the Carmel crunch frap and did not like it. She again, proceeded to tell me they were the same and gave me an attitude and gave me dirty looks as she went back into the store. It's surprising to see a Starbucks that isn't well run. This location needs to train and supervise their baristas. Some of their baristas work; some stand around behind the counter on their cell phones, or get rowdy with friends on the other side of the counter. The good employees seemed almost intimidated by the teen drama queen who was causing most of the problems. The manager probably needs to show up on Saturday mornings and sort things out. read more
