We ordered a trenta mango dragon fruit refresher with lemonade. They made a vente. Ugh. Then they put it in a cup that has a tiny hole to drink. I asked if they have for a tall straw besides the really fat ones, for a trenta and the guy says you can also use this one (the fat one). I said huh? And he walked away. I walked to every place they had straws and they were all short skinny ones or the big fat boba straws. Ugh. So I went back again and asked again for a tall straw. Same song different employee. Then I said you know that straw is too big to fit in the lid you gave me (the wrong size I might add but saved that because it was too difficult to try again with anything else). So, he looks at me and says we don't have any of the tall straws except the big ones. I can give you a different lid. Lol so I got a different lid. This store is so inconsistent. Some days they do too much ice, other days they don't fill the drink to the top. I'm paying over 7 dollars for a drink and it's not even filled to the top? I would say it's a 50/50 chance you get a bad drink at this store if it's iced. Blended drinks generally are okay from this store, but they often forget the sprinkled stuff on top. Good service. It's a Starbucks so obviously the same options as the million others, but this used to be a great place to study for the free WiFi, electricity, and easy to access coffee. It's been a minute since those college days... but was office-less today so tried to do a webinar conference here today, but was disappointed: The different layout made it significantly louder than those collegiate years where you could hide around the corner. So much so that my Bose noise cancelling headphones could barely drown it out, so I eventually had to abandon my post and seek silence at a quieter spot. Oh, I am so completely surprised by the low rating for this Starbucks location. This may be one of the longest drive-thru lines for Starbucks in the area, but the baristas are so speedy and the line moves very quickly. This Starbucks is in an extremely busy part of town, but I have never been disappointed. The baristas are always so patient if I order a customized drink, regardless of the customer or business pressure to speed the line along. Plus, my drink is consistently perfect. When I've gone inside, the place is pristine, and I am always greeted. To note, I really want to emphasize that every time I have gone through the drive-thru, I have been met with charm, grace, and friendliness. Everytime I come to this location I have an unpleasant experience. I ordered a refresher today and I told the lady I wanted a venti she kept saying grande. When I expressed to her I wanted a size bigger she finally got it correct. When I received my drink I got a venting cup I drove off. This Sunday morning, I went through the Starbucks drive-thru; right before you pull into their parking lot, there are significant potholes on the road within that shopping center. I went through the more prominent crater, and my card hit pretty hard. I did not realize that the pothole was there as it was covered in water. I went through the drive-thru, got my drink, and as I was getting ready to leave, my front passenger tire was completely flat. I had to pull over in front of Starbucks and call triple A so they could put in the spare. While waiting in the parking lot, I called Starbucks to get the management's company information, but instead, they took my phone number and said someone should reach out to me. Ive been going to this Starbucks for years and never had an issue but today a blonde lady helped us through the drive thru and she was so rude and impatient. She got our order wrong, rolled her eyes when we tried to fix it and when gave us the order she said nothing. We still received the wrong order and I didn't even ask for straws because I didn't want to speak to her again so we left. She had such a nasty attitude. I love the fact that this location is open at 330am. Most other places do not open until 5 or later. Venti quad shot mocha was ready pretty quick. The cheese danish was barely warmed not toasted to crisp flakey goodness like usual. The two ladies there were pleasant and wished a good day. The cashier had given kudos on using the Starbucks app and also waiting for instructions to scan. She explained that if you scan too early it populates a list of numbers in the field where the name should go and closed the transaction before they can adjust the name. read more

Lately I've noticed how they'll give you one of your items, take payment, and proceed to give you the rest of your order. Overall, every location should consider taking payment before handing customers their drinks/food/merch through the window. I've had confusion about what I've actually ordered and what they give me before saying goodbye to me, resulting in not receiving all the items I've ordered or they misunderstood I was waiting for the rest of my order. I travel a lot for work. I'm literally in a new city/state every week or two. I visit a lot of Starbucks. Most have gone down hill drastically. Some worse than others. A few rare diamonds in the rough can still be found (shout-out to Eastlake/Proctor Valley Rd in Chula Vista, Ca). This particular Starbucks is one the worse and I think you can tell that based on the 2.5 stars. I have been coming to this store for a little over two weeks. Every time I've been here, most of the baristas have an attitude, but it doesn't seem personal by most. They just seem to be working in a negative, toxic place. It breeds more of the same. I see this often. That's not what I'm referring to. This particular store has a person named "Andrea". They has given me an attitude every encounter we've had. Not the type of attitude where words are exchanged, but the exact opposite. The type when you say, "Thank you", they roll their eyes and walk away saying nothing. The type when you ask for a napkin, hands it to you and has a look like you're bothering they. The nastiest type of nasty they. When I finally (after 2.5 weeks) had enough of it and asked, "What's your problem with me? Have I done something wrong to you?", they turns and walks away pretending not to hear me. Ironically, the guy standing further away heard me and replied, "We've been really busy". That doesn't excuse what has happened over more than two weeks! When I finally asked for they's name to write corporate and this review, the shift manager told me I was basically wrong and they've had nothing but praise for they. This same group of baristas stood around a few days before talking about how they "hate seeing the same faces" every day. Basically repeat customers are a bother to Starbucks employees. No accountability. No appology. Just the same ol' entitlted attitude you find in a lot of California residents. Even when you see them in other states many still have the same entitled toxic attitude. That's why the rest of the country hates Californians. I've seen it first hand in more than six cities in the last two months. Someone is acting like an ass and surprise, CA license plates! Californians are toxic and this attitude isn't being stopped within woke companies like Starbucks. Andrea is the epitomy of this nasty attitude and Starbucks promotes it. I spend 4 figures a year on Starbucks. That will go elsewhere. wen possible I'm now spending my time in Panera when that's an option. Starbucks will be my last option from now on. We get to the window and the employee did not acknowledge our presence, turned around and literally proceeded to lock the window. Very rude. This location is my go-to Starbucks and I have been here a lot over the last six months.  I am emailing because while the service of the employees is good, they often forget things when I order in the drive through.  When I order inside I am able to ask or get these things myself, but in a drive through I feel that the employees should know that these things are necessary while in a moving car.  Every time I have been in the drive through (at least ten times) I am never offered splash sticks for hot drinks or napkins for food.  A couple times I asked for it, and the employees gave it to me.  However, many times I have forgotten and by the time I remember I have already driven away and another car is at the window so I can't back up.  I have no choice but to either drive away or park and go inside to get it, which defeats the purpose of ordering at the window.   I can't drink the hot drinks right away to prevent it from spilling out the top while driving, because it's too hot so it's better to have the splash stick.  One time I couldn't drink a latte because it was too hot, so while driving on the freeway it kept splashing out of the top hole.  It got in the bottom of the cup holder and on the sides of the tunnel console.  I feel that the employees should know that hot drinks can spill and are dangerous to splash around or drink right away, especially if there are kids in the car.  It's also messy to have the food without napkins because of the crumbs and sugar.  I ordered a spinach and feta egg white wrap, which is watery from the spinach and it dripped onto the seatbelt and my jacket and I had nothing to wipe it with (I was in the passenger seat).   Overall the drinks and food at this Starbucks are always good but the employees seem to have a habit of forgetting to offer napkins and splash sticks.  Because I have been here often and this has been a recurring issue, I don't think I am the only customer with this problem in the drive through, since this is also a popular location that often has a line wrapping around the parking lot.  Either the employees are forgetting or they are choosing not to offer them, which are necessary items for a drive through. read more

I've been going to this Starbucks for quite some time now and I'm never disappointed. The employees have such amazing customer service and are very quick when it comes to making sure their drive thru line customers are satisfied with the wait time and service overall. The drinks I ordered today were strawberries and creme Frappuccino's and they were blended so well and the consistency was spot on! Ivan was working the register and I like that he offered to place the hot food items I had ordered into another bag so that they were more manageable while driving home! I get great customer service at this Starbucks. They are quick and they are consistent making my drink orders. Whether it's in the drive through or when I walk in they are are working hard with a smile on their face. I appreciate it. I am usually attended by Miguel which always offers me a drink tray and asks if I need a stopper when I order one drink. There is another young lady that is super sweet and I can't remember her name but Melanie or Mel ? I will update as soon as I can get her name however every staff member has been great. The place is busy - and I rarely go inside so I cannot comment on that, but the line is always long because it's one of 2 drive thru coffee places in Santa Rosa. The people at the window are always super courteous - have a smile on their face and are hustling their behinds off. I don't see how you can change it to be any better or faster. I drive up and they take my money/credit card and then hand me it back with my drink. I think the people working their go out of their way to please the customers and many of them are probably trying to handle all of the business at the drive thru. There is some potential that people are a little cranky before they get their 'fix' so I would read these reviews with that in mind. It taste like starbuck's coffee and you get it with a smile. I could give them a 2-star or even 3-star because one drink, the mocha with whip was normal, but the fact that the misto tasted like they had substituted the requested Irish Cream syrup with some cleaning agent, not super harsh like Ajax, but maybe BonAmi. And since it was late and we chose this drive-thru because it is right off the freeway, we were back on the road before the second sip. If this had been a real cafe where the staff actually has to know how to do a backwash in an espresso machine with a specialized espresso machine cleaning agent, I might consider an inadequate rinse as the reason, but do Starbucks staff actually make those decisions? Their machines seem fully programmed and this order was not a closing time, not even close. If this had not been an on-the-road drive-thru order this disgusting cleaning chemical-tasting liquid would've gone back to the counter for a full refund plus apology and _maybe_ explanation. The customers that come here are often times rude. They don't realize how hard the baristas are working. They have to rush around most of the day, get call outs, try and do SO many things at once. The manager there is really awesome and trys her best to keep EVERYONE happy. There are always new people working, and people should try to be a little more patient and understanding about things.
