I've never been to this location despite it being a few miles from my home. I was running errands and wanted a coffee, sinuses the app to look it up. I tried the oatmeal lavender latte and my all time favorite - the lemon cake! Both were delicious and hot the spot. It was 10:30 on a Saturday morning and the place was hopping! My home store and I accidentally left my tips from work yesterday, when I came in today they had them for me Barista Baddies Most are greeted by First name and a smile even at 6am. Now that the weather is good and the seating inside is open, this was a nice place to hang out. There is not a lot of outside seating and it's more on the sidewalk of the building with no greenery around. So the overall experience is not the best but it was good the other day, I ordered the Mango Dragonfruit drink was good, as expected. I like the tartness (not overalls sweet like some of the other drinks). It is good to have a variety of offerings The Fruit & Cheese box is a favorite for a meal or snack. The one I got was fresh, chilled properly, and enjoyable. Parking is not hard as this store is in a small outdoor "strip" mall area. It is not far from a bowling center, which I was waiting to open. Ok look my only issue here is how they are HELLA SLOW. I'm talking about expecting to wait on mobile orders for 20 mins. They got older ppl working here, but that shouldn't matter. Anyone working as a barista should have a sense of urgency knowing these ppl come in hoping to not wait longer than expected. If you guys need more help, staff up! I don't understand why only have 2 ppl working the bar & 1 person doing all the baked goods. That method is NOT working. Get more staff working in busy mornings or PICK UP THE PACE??! it's not that hard. I've done this before and it irritates me so much how slow they work. Honestly I've been going to this location daily literally daily lol they are so amazing I just love everyone in this location I've been a sb drinker for 30 years now and moved prob about 5x and knew everyone at each location and this particular location has a special vibe. I get a super happy smile everyday sometimes they even write on my cup or even give me a cute sticker!! I can't remember everyone's name but the ones on top of my head are Tracy,& kitchen and some newer members of the team but they are all super friendly and I couldn't start my day without them!! I usually just pass by this Starbucks location when on my way down Watt Avenue, but I have been stopping in more and more now that I realize the convenience because it's easy to get on and off Watt Avenue no matter what direction. This is literally the 3rd Starbucks location on Watt Avenue between Fair Oaks Blvd and where Watt Avenue crosses over Interstate 80. I usually go to the one with the Drive Thru between Interstate 80 and Business 80, but more and more I find myself cutting through to hit up this location instead. This location isn't as busy as the other locations on Watt Avenue (the other one is at the intersection of Watt and Fair Oaks Blvd) so I have no problem finding a spot right in front during the morning rush. Inside there is rarely ever a line and if there is, it's a small one. It is nice and spacious inside with plenty of space to walk around or sit down and hangout. My drinks are always made perfectly and the baristas are always nice and friendly. My favorite drinks? An Iced Half Sweet Vanilla Latte, Iced Half Sweet Mocha with no Whip and Iced Peach Green Tea. read more

I have been in when it was busy and the line goes pretty fast even though they only have two people working they do get people on their way as soon as possible. The baristas are friendly and do take the time to get to know you like someone else mentioned in their review. Josh and Sara are both fabulous and bring a smile to your face as soon as you walk in. They have bar height tables and chairs as well as a few comfy chairs and regular tables and chairs to work on. There are some outside seats but in the afternoon they are right in the sun but are nice other times of the day. If you decided to take your laptop with you to do some work in this place, I recommend you either plan on tethering to your phone or pick something that does not require internet access. I purchased a fig and chicken sandwich with dijon mustard and arugula along with a small bottle of green smoothie from Evolution. I'm not a big fig fan, so was skeptical about whether the sandwich would work. Surprisingly, it turned out to be really tasty. The price for a same day pre-prepared sandwich and bottled drink was a bit high, at $11.90, however, both items had organic high quality ingredients, so I was okay with the higher price. Besides the unflattering stream of homeless walking by outside, it has everything you'd need in a coffee shop, even if it is part of a massive chain. I was looking for a place to knock out a couple hours worth of laptop work and get my caffeine fix. This isn't exactly an area of Sacramento known for its eclectic selection of businesses, so Starbucks is what I had to settle for. The baristas were super friendly for mid-morning. One guy even came up with an impromptu song about making drinks while we waited. Now that's the way to get the best out of your job! I ordered a iced coffee with a sweet cream mixture. It was on special at the time and may not be around anymore but was absolutely delicious. The wifi signal was strong and seats plentiful. There are plenty of reasons to crap on Starbucks for being, well, Starbucks. In this case, I couldn't think of many.
