Cute little hidden gem inside the Farmer's Market!…read more I got the pourover and had a nice little chat with the staff there. They're knowledgeable and it's such a cozy hangout area. You can tell them your preferred roast and they'll pick the beans based on your preference. They have a wide selection of beans and prices vary based on brand, but they're pretty much between $19-27. I'd definitely pick up some more beans next time I'm in the area! This time I got 42 because I told them I make espresso drinks (eg latte) at home, so they picked something for me. My drink took about 7 minutes and it was full of flavour. It came with some biscoff, so it was a perfect match. They used the Chemex and did a double pour lol The staff told me they recently took over the soup business from a fellow vendor (within the market), so they've been getting busy trying to manage all the orders and customers. There's also these homemade jellys which are good for souvenirs/gifts!

I tried the matcha drop, which was a bit on the pricey side (aren't they all these days) and tasted very mild. Overall, I'd give this spot another try for their espresso based drinks, maybe that would be better.

Thankfully, the vanilla bean latte absolutely did the job--and it was genuinely delicious too. The house blend espresso was smooth and creamy, with a rich chocolatey note without tasting overly roasted, exactly the way I like it. The vanilla bean flavour was also really pleasant, adding just the right amount of sweetness and aroma without overpowering the coffee. All in all, it was a near-perfect latte. The only downside was the price--I paid about $9 for a large with three shots, which felt a bit steep. Still, it was a very satisfying cup of java. I also appreciated the fact that it is doggo friendly as it has a jar of treats for your pups. I'll bring little morty over sometimes.

This French patisserie is mind-blowing, and reminiscent of the best patisseries in Montréal and Paris. We ordered the chocolatines, the cheesecake and the spanakopita. Lumière Pâtisserie is a Thornhill gem--proof that you don't have to go downtown for great pastries…read more Yes, it's tucked into a suburban plaza off a parking lot, but inside it's light-filled, calm, and smells like heaven. The service is consistently warm, and the pastry case is hard to resist. We've tried many of their cakes, and the blackcurrant queen cake is hands down our favorite--tart, elegant, and just sweet enough. Their salted caramel croissant is beautifully laminated and filled with just the right amount of caramel. In fact, their croissants across the board are solid--flaky, tender, and buttery without being greasy. The sourdough bread is excellent, and the espresso drinks are reliably strong and well-crafted. It may look like Paris inside, but don't let that inspire your inner Francophile--the staff are lovely, but no one's following your French. Still, this is the kind of place that keeps regulars coming back. We're definitely among them.

If you're close by and thinking of having some bingsu, definitely try the place out if you haven't.

Tried the hot chocolate and it was okay, not too sweet. Tried the Apple turnover which was a little chewy - should have warmed it up just a little. They packed the cake in a beautiful box and thankfully it was on a sturdy bottom so it didn't move during the delivery and looked so good! The cake itself was very good, a lot of strawberries with the whipping cream and cake were not too sweet so it balanced with the natural sweetness of the strawberries very well! It was also very light which was great as we had activities planned. We ordered it the day before and the cake tasted great the next day so easy to store leftovers. Would be interested in going to the store and trying more things in the future.

The online ordering process is smooth and convenient, and the final product genuinely impresses. I'm taking one point off only because it was impossible to reach someone by phone. Communication is email only, which works, but it does feel a bit arms length and takes away from the personal touch you'd expect from a boutique bakery. A quick call option would elevate the whole experience. That said, the pastries and cakes are excellent, and I'd happily order again. Enjoy-Zuk.

It was delicious! The sandwich also came with vegan sausage. My husband had the chicken parm, another sandwich you can't find. It was delicious as well! We got a variety of desserts to try. My favorite was the apple turnover. The line to order was long but that is nice to see in places like this. They have some vegan grocery items as well. This is a must stop for anyone! The Tiramisu Cheesecake (10 out of 5!) was sublime and was amongst the best vegan cheesecake we have ever had. In fact it would be right near the top as well even compared to non vegan cheesecakes we have ever had. The Chocolate Biscotti (10 out of 5!) was again a grand slam. It's been a while since I had a biscotti since we turned vegan and this just hit the spot. With coffee - OMG! Although we got to eat half, it was very satisfying. Danish Rum Balls (10 out of 5) - my favourite ice cream flavour at one was Rum Raisin and this DRB bought memories of those days. Perfectly flavoured with rum, and the raisins were a bomb with rum flavour. Just mind blowing. Butter Pecan Tarts - (5 out of 5). Very good tarts. Not too sweet, the pie shell, very well done and baked to perfection. The Danish Pastry (3 out of 5). They are not my favourite and this didn't change my mind. Mind you nothing wrong with pastry itself. Please let this be my last desserts if I had my way!

2026 Birthday Series -- Stop #2: Paris Baguette…read more I'm kicking off a series reviewing all the places I visited to redeem my birthday goodies in July 2026. Along with an overall rating, each spot gets scored on redeemability (how easy it is to claim) and actual value. Paris Baguette Redeemability: 4/5 (requires app download and sign-up, scan at counter) Actual value: 4/5 (a free cake slice!) Outside of birthday, my partner, family and I do frequent Paris baguette, but with the price tag, I think it is only the most worthwhile to go when there's an ongoing promotion; otherwise, the items can be overall overpriced (ie a special drink at 10 dollars with tax, a donut at 8 with tax and a sandwich at 20 dollars with tax....these are way too much) Go in the morning for the freshest goods.

This is my second time at a high tea place so I was comparing with one in Oakville. The restaurant is a small place with a few seats so making a reservation is best. This restaurant is within a small plaza within the mall itself. Beautiful decor representing English Victorian-like theme with dishes and plating presentation. I found this place to not be worth the price point in my opinion. The food was just mediocre. The egg sandwich was not good at all. There were too much green onions. The scones were not fresh and just too hard. The cucumber sandwich was not good either, it had a weird taste, I can't even describe it. I got the dulce de leche tea which tasted like water tea, I did not taste anything caramel or sweetness to it. Overall paying over $65 per person I expected a better taste than what I got. I would not come here again.
