Tips: - This cafe does not have a drive-thru, likely because it's next door to a McDonald's restaurant that does. - The order status screen is cool. I was picking up an order at McDonald's. I frankly don't recall if I have ever hit a McDonald's in Pickering before, so it was probably my first time. The eatery was in a plaza. I drove around to check it out. Next door to McDonald's is this Starbucks. I had to drive around to find it, as McDonald's occupies the corner that faces the intersection. This cafe does not have a drive-thru, likely because you can't fit a second one with McDonald's monstrous version on the other side. I found a parking spot fairly close to the main entrance. I backed into the spot and then walked into the cafe. This Starbucks has a comfortable vibe. Most of the seating is by the door. However, there are also some seats further down. It is a deep cafe, with the washrooms at the back right corner. There was one person ahead of me ordering. It allowed me to check out the menu while I waited in line. I got a friendly barista who asked how I was doing. It was nice. I was getting reacquainted with Pickering! I ordered a grande iced peach green tea. She then scanned my Starbucks card's barcode off my phone. I like that I don't have to say my name. The scan provides my name automatically in the ordering system. I waited patiently for my drink at the pickup counter. There was a couple and a man there. The coolest part of this cafe is seeing the order status screen that has three columns: - Received - In progress - Ready My order went into the received column. As I waited, I saw my name move over to the in-progress column. I didn't bother looking at it when my order was ready. Another female barista had my drink ready. I thanked her and wished her a great evening. She reciprocated. I took a paper straw. I then headed out the door and to my car. My drink was perfect. It was peachy, cold, and yummy. I'm glad that I dropped by to get a beverage. Of note, there's another Starbucks across the street, at The Shops at Pickering City Centre. I know it as Pickering Town Centre. I have a feeling that locals still use the old name. I like this cafe because I'm not tempted to buy a ton of stuff at a mall while getting a beverage! It's a nice cafe. Every time I order through uber Eats the drinks taste awful! I'm not impressed and this has continued to happened

Wow! I can't believe it's been 10 years since I wrote my review for this Starbucks location. I was in here a couple weeks ago to meet up with a friend and everything I wrote in my previous review still applies. The staff are super friendly, the store is clean and they have a great selection of mugs and accessories for purchase. Being in a strip mall, there is plenty of parking and it's a good central location to meet up with friends. read more

I come to this location pretty often, and the staff are always so friendly and helpful. It's also a great place to get some work done. I only wish they had a drive thru, but luckily, they have mobile order pickups at this location, which is super helpful when you're in a rush. read more

I have been to this Starbucks a few times over the last 6 months and always have an enjoyable experience! I can always find a table near electric outlets which is always a plus for me. Barista here are friendly and cheerful, always happy to fulfil my request. However close to the front is a little chilly where most of the seating is! read more

This is my local Starbucks and I will say that after a few hiccups when I first started going, they have considerably upped their game, and for this I feel I had to come back and upgrade their rating to a well deserved 5. Seems the only thing this store needs is Starbucks Reserve with the Clover Brewing System and also add in Nitro Cold Brew (a regular customer can dream...) but I won't downgrade them on that as I know it's beyond their control. Most recently they added the new Clover X system (billed "Starbucks Brew Revolution") which replaces the traditional Bunn brewers (for regular coffees) with a machine which grinds coffee beans and then brews each cup to order. Think of a Keurig that also grinds the coffee for you immediately before brewing (in a way this machine almost makes pour-over redundant too). And to the company's credit, this innovation was NOT accompanied by a price increase. You can still get a tall Pike Place or featured dark roast for $1.90 plus tax (and unlimited refills for gold Starbucks Rewards members). Why anybody would still get coffee at Tim Horton's or McDonald's is beyond me as Clover X is a bigtime game-changer in favour of Starbucks. The Clover X brews coffee slightly stronger than the traditional Bunn did, which was a welcome surprise, and no way Timmies or McDonald's grinds beans on regular coffees to order. Apparently Clover X is being slowly rolled out across the continent, and Pickering is one of the first in Canada to have it. read more

Man, I can't tell you how much I love this Starbucks. I've actually been to it quite a bit seeing as how it's so conveniently placed between the Pickering Town Centre and my friends & cousins house. All of my orders have gone perfectly fine, and even sometimes the barista's would spring into light conversations or jokes with me and the coworkers. The overall vibe of the business is great and the seating and lighting are great as well. I've never had an issue with the speed of my orders like other people say; the place is typically busy during the day so I don't expect lightspeed service. This isn't a Tim Hortons. This is a chill, relaxed Starbucks where you shouldn't be in a rush anyways. Overall, I've had nothing but good times here. Highly recommended! read more

I am a huge Starbucks fan. It is my "go to" place for coffee. I can't remember that last time I went into a Tim Hortons by myself. Usually I would be at a Tims because of the other person. The coffee difference is night and day. Starbucks has much more full bodied taste, whereas Tims is extremely weak. It has been that way for years. Ever since they changed coffee roasters. The only downside to the new style coffee shops is the free wifi. People linger for hours and take up seats and tables. One person takes up a table for four. There is no place to sit and relax. To enjoy your coffee. Time limit would be nice. read more

I ordered a meatless breakfast sandwich and after paying was told it was no longer available. I settled for a spinach feta wrap (a cheaper item), which was given to me without any offer to get a refund for the difference. I then had to ask for a refund on the difference and wasn't given the full amount because the "price had changed." I showed the cashier that the price hadn't changed on the sign and she was short changing me. She said it had and there was nothing she could do (highly doubtful) and gave me change from the tip jar. This place is wonderful to get group work done! Staff: They took the time to ask about my day and it felt friendly and welcoming. The lady making my hot chocolate took the time to ask if I wanted to add a topping to my hot chocolate since I requested no whipped cream. I really appreciated that and it brought a genuine smile to my face. Ambience: There are many tables for 2 but only a long table for sharing. There are outlets to plug in your laptops and chargers which I appreciated. I say it is a decent sized place and not too crammed compared to some of the other locations. Drinks: My hot chocolate was alright. A little too much foam on top and the bottom was sludgy but it still satisfied my hot chocolate craving. From getting an early taste of the new white blond to have my regular, breakfast sandwich & Grande Caramel Frapp. This location is clean, mid-size and FREE PARKING. Strolled into this Starbucks en route to visit my high school English teacher who had just been involved in a car accident. I didn't know what else to bring, and it was too late at night to go and grab flowers, so I decided to grab a Chai Tea Latte (her favourite) to lift her spirits. This SB is located at the corner of Liverpool and Kingston Road. Being in the burbs it is not quite as busy as the ones in the city, which then puzzles me as to why the service is so slow. One of my favorite Starbucks locations easily. I come here atleast 2-3 times a week to get work done. There is always seats available & glad that there's plenty of them. The staff are overall really friendly, & always so upbeat. A con is that I find the music does tend to get too loud sometimes during the lunch hour (so make sure to bring headphones if you're planning to get some work done). read more

I am really happy with my Pumpkin Spice Latte. It tastes perfect. I was, however, disappointed they were out of App of the Week cards.

Very slow in the morning! with only 5 ppl in the whole place. I did get a coffee which was good, however my breakfast sandwich was double what I would of paid at any other location and was horrible. I opened it up after a few blocks away in my car and to far away to turn back. The bacon was not cooked at all, I did write an email and complain... never heard back from head office. If you have an entire afternoon to blow, this Starbucks location is for you. Expect long line ups on weekends and holidays. There is often only one person on register and one on bar, leaving the rest of the staff to handle breaks, and whatever else is needed back of house. This is poor from the customers' perspective because the line moves very slowly and it takes forever to get your drinks. Proper deployment could easily improve my opinion of this store, as the environment is wonderful. There are plenty of seats, with a variety of comfy seats and hard backed chairs. This location has quite a nice cafe (I would give atmosphere 6/10) with plenty of seating options and is actually open later than surrounding stores. The staff members here are quite efficient, but their long lines more often than not move slowly (although not as fast as I've seen at other locations). I've been to this location a few times now (approximately ten) and no major mistakes were made with my drink and order. The staff members are actually quite friendly but out of my experiences I've seen better. On the whole, I am impressed with this location and do intend on returning for more coffee. read more
