Wow. My daughter started working as a barista at a local hospital. She has started giving me some ideas for sugar-free drinks that are lower keto. Best of luck to you if you visit anyway - be prepared for decent coffee but slow, impersonal to the point of shoddy service. 2 drinks ordered on mobile app to pick up inside - my name only announced for first beverage. I walked up to the counter and asked 'which one?' And was met with a shrug of shoulders. When I said 'so I need to check every drink here?' One of the staff helped and thrust my first beverage toward me. The second drink was silently put on the pickup counter among the 12+ other drinks within 5 minutes later.... not thrilled with how many times cup is handled by customers (yes, plural) searching for their order. I took a chance after 5 minutes and spun another hot cup to see my name in the side. Dear staff - please consider to announce after final beverage is made or announce each drink when you have more than 3 customers waiting and the pile of drinks is clustered 4 deep on the counter. It had been a while since I had Starbucks, mainly because of the hours, because they were not open when I went to work. This time, I made it there twice in one week! Last week, I ordered the Apple Crisp Oat milk Shaken Espresso and a Cranberry Bliss Bar. I never had these before, and they were both delicious! When I was there, I noticed a sign in the drive thru showing the hours, and I noticed they were open until 1 PM everyday. I didn't get a picture of it, but I thought that was sad. I thought they were turning things around. I went back today and got an Iced Sugar Cookie Almond milk Latte, a holiday drink. That was delicious, too. This time, I got a picture of the hours. I have been to many a Starbucks in my days and the one in Richmond, Indiana is absolutely the worst. They have no idea how to manage inventory. They are out of peach. They are out of venti cups, they are out of cheese danishes, they are out of plum cheese danishes. They are out of brownies, they are out of rice crispy bars. If you order ahead, you will get there to be told the item you ordered is not in stock. When you show them that it shows in stock on the app they are surprised. When this happened to me, they allowed me to pick a different item to replace it. The item I chose showed sold out on the app. I showed them this (because it's what I would have originally chosen had the app not listed it as sold out) and they were surprised again that the app was showing sold out of items that were in stock. Another time I showed up to pick up my order and they were out of Vinti cups so my chai tea was given to me in two tall cups. That was annoying. If that's not bad enough, each and every time I order from the app, the wait for the drink is at least 10-15 minutes past the recommended pick up time. I've basically started ordering it 30 min prior to pick up and it's still not ready sometimes. The whole store is a mess. I have had at least one issue with them each and every time I have ordered from them for the past six month. I have never in my life known of a store to be this mismanaged. I am done with this store and will just go to Roscoes from now on since they have never been out of stock on anything that I've ordered from there. Do better, Richmond, Indiana Starbucks. Arrived this morning at 0545 to what looked like a store that pulled an all nighter. The music was playing so loud that you couldn't hear yourself think, the two young women in there working had the personality of a sloth (a sloth would have been better), they acted like they disliked each other, are not morning girls & had not had their coffee yet either. The floor was dirty​, most of the chairs were in disarray, no toilet paper in both bathrooms & then to top it off...they had no white chocolate or whip topping. Supplies were stacked up over 6' x 6' so somewhere in there was the white chocolate perhaps & who knows who's turn it was to make the whip, but apparently they were too busy listening to the loud music to care. This Starbucks is not open during their posted hours. if they are open, they disable app ordering, they are usually out of everything even just regular coffee, they out a sign in drive thru that says come inside then a note on the door that says go through drive thru, so basically not open during business hours posted. Employees are rude and surly if you happen to catch them at the store. My family and I stopped at this Starbucks while visiting Richmond today. It was a nice place to sit and enjoy our drinks together before heading onto our next locations. I think the store had just received a shipment because there were cardboard boxes everywhere, which made the seating area a little cramped. Still, it was over-all a good experience and I wouldn't hesitate to return to this location when passing through Richmond in the future. read more

This Starbucks has a decent amount of seating and good, strong coffee and coffee based drinks. It's also the only Starbucks in the area. It's worth going a few miles out of your way to get a cup of coffee you can count on. read more

10 years ago i would have given this place a 10 star rating. The drinks were great, the staff stellar and the place was clean. Now , today I will give it 2 stars. Management has changed hands so much and with every new manager it just keeps getting worse. I frequent this Starbucks every single day and they mess up my drinks at least twice or more per week. When they are making your drink consistently they are out of any possible item you would like to order. Recently they were out of a certain milk they told my friend they were out but when i ordered they didn't tell me and just made it with a milk that i didn't ask for. The staff is rude and unfriendly, they used to be so inviting, remembered your name and greeted you more there is literally just a couple of employees that even acknowledge people when they come in. Worst Starbucks experience. Filthy place. Bathrooms were trashed. I ordered an iced shaken oat espresso and then an iced black tea with extra sweetener. The espresso came with cinnamon and then the tea did not have sweetener. I normally don't review bad experiences but the way the baristas handled the situation made me want to rate it. Being a server myself I just asked for an extra pump of sweetener as well as if the espresso I had received was a holiday espresso. She responded quite rudely "Your tea is sweet and that's how we always make the espressos." I've been ordering a shaken espresso for years and have never received it with cinnamon before in my life. You know what? I'm not afraid to admit it. I love Starbucks. I'll shout it from the rooftops! I LOVE STARBUCKS! I love the indie music they have playing, I love the breakfast sandwiches and the coffee cakes (mmm, chocolate-banana) and I love my venti chai soy latte. To me, going to Starbucks is like pampering yourself with a massage or a shopping spree, except it only costs me $5 to $7. I feel just a little fancy every time I walk in there. Yes, I've gone to local coffee shops, and they just don't cut it. The drinks might be a little cheaper, and I might be supporting the local economy, but they aren't as good. Anyway, this particular Starbucks is the only one within 50 miles of me, so it gets a lot of my business whenever I'm close by. The staff at this Starbucks are so unbelievably friendly. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but the staff here can always help me find something I'm going to love. On this particular trip I was encouraged to buy a gift card and register it online to earn rewards points. I usually skip offers like this over, but this person was so helpful that I took her up on it. The staff is mostly friendly, except for on time when a girl laughed at us at the drive through window pointing through the glass when we thought they were open at 6 on the one day they are open at 6:30. I'm mostly making this review because of the amount of times we pay for Trenta drinks and receive 80% ice in our cup. It's not half, or one/two scoops it's all ice with some sips of coffee. I actually visited this place twice in the same day so I had the opportunity to see two different shifts. In the morning, I walked in and waited for a few minutes while all the employees were working on other things. I found this pretty annoying, especially since no one greeted me or said something like "I'll be with you in a minute." The morning experience was pretty perfunctory, but I guess I got my coffee and that's what I came for. Later that afternoon I came back for a cheese plate. Turns out they don't sell those so I got a doppio and a piece of delicious coffee cake. The espresso was pretty good with plenty of crema. The service was much better and the staff was very friendly. I enjoy many of the drinks here and usually have no problems. I usually order through the app so I just have to pick up and go but there have been a few times that hasn't worked out. Once when I was in a hurry I had to wait for them to make my drink again because they said they gave it to another customer because they ordered the same thing then they couldn't remember what I'd ordered! Another time the protein powder wasn't mixed in my drink but was sitting in a nasty chewy clump that worked its way through the straw. They did give me a full order refund that time even though there was only problems with one drink. read more
