I wasn't sure what to expect but this wasn't it. This place is wild! The decor is very wacky but sometimes that's a clear indicator that it will be good. The menu is huge! And a little overwhelming. I assumed everything would be processed but I'm pretty sure the coney sauce was house made. Footlong coney day was always one of my favorite lunch days in high school so I opted for the footlong coney. It was pretty good. A regular size one would have been plenty since apparently my adult stomach is smaller than my high school stomach. The strawberry soft serve was good too. It was more tangy than sweet. My brother had the carrot cake ice cream. While it wasn't as carrot cake-y as he expected, he still liked it. The employees were friendly and we got our food fairly quick. There are no lists of flavors for ice cream when you face the windows where you place the orders. There are all kinds of menu items listed there but NOTHING tells you the list of ice cream flavors are along the side of the building by one of the parking lots. If you park on the other side of the building you completely miss out on the list. It would have been nice to have a sign POINTING to where the flavors are. Instead you just think you can get soft serve cones or sundaes. Speaking of which, by husband ordered a large brownie sundae with hot fudge sauce and they didn't put on the fudge sauce. The lines were long so he didn't go back to correct it. But quite disappointed. Also the "large" was like a kiddie cup size. When mediocre is the standard and you don't even reach that, you really have to consider what you're doing. This is the case with this establishment. It reminds me of an old timey antique throw back without all the charm and desperately lacking in good food. The corn dog was still ice cold in the center. The footling was thin, pale, and just plane sloppy. The fries were meh. And the chocolate shakes are better at McDonald's. Avoid this place. Weenee World is so fun! I mean, I'm always questioning the name - but they are one of the best places to grab ice cream in Henry County! :) Their banana splits are my favorite dessert. They are big enough to split between 2 people and for under $5, it's a great deal! The prices are almost better here than getting fast food, so it's a great stop for families after games at the sports park next door. Their carrot cake and banana pudding ice cream (hand dips) are highly recommended as well. They specialize in fair-themed food, hence the name. So you'll find hot dogs, onions rings, ice cream, slushies, lemon shake-ups, funnel cakes, cotton candy, and treats like that here. Personally, we come for the ice cream and slushies. Our kids like the coney dogs but I haven't been a fan of the food - I've tried the tenderloin and onion rings but I prefer to stick to their sweet treats. There aren't any healthy options here, BUT you can get a diet coke slushie if you are looking for something sugar-free. They have a drive-thru and walk-up window with outdoor seating, but there is no indoor seating. They are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. read more

The food is good, but nothing near what it used to be. I remember when they first opened, they would have the best jumbo tenderloin sandwiches, like what the previous restaurant next to it used to have (the old Bills Diner). Now the tenderloins are super thin, tough and have no flavor. The other thing that used to have were footlong hot dogs that were amazing, but they have since gotten rid of them from the menu. The ice cream is still good and there are many options to choose from. The single biggest downfall of this place is the wait and the service. There is always a line and it is because of how long you have to wait for your order. There have been many times where we would come to order food (either to the walk-up window or drive thru) and then just leave because it was taking too long. One day we even waited a half an hour and still did not get to order our food, so we left. The staff here always seem like we are inconveniencing them when we order food, even if it is an ice cream cone or a drink. In my personal opinion, you should not work in customer service if you don't know how to get along with people. I have worked in customer service for over 20 years and know what good customer service should be. I think the one thing that would make this location a lot better is having better staff. This would increase overall satisfaction of the experience as well as decrease wait times on food. Don't get me wrong, I do like the food here, even though it's not as good as what it used to be. This is my third trip to Weenie World. I have grown quite fond of the waffle bowl sundaes. They have outdoor seating, and the menu has so many options for toppings and flavors of milkshakes, sundaes, Etc. that you may be stuck for a while trying to decide. I am partial to a marshmallow waffle bowl sundae topped with Oreos and whipped cream. There is a fair selection of hard scooped ice cream as well, the salted caramel was "close your eyes and savor it a moment" good. They have a similar menu to a diner or good family owned burger joint, with many choices. I had breaded zucchini and it was piping hot and crispy, not soggy. You can't go wrong with a hot dog covered in cheese and relish. My friend tried the breaded tenderloin strips, not a fan. Imagine taking a circle tenderloin; cutting it into thin strips and then deep fry it. The edges got too hard and crunchy and it was fried way too well and dry. I told her however, the place is called weenie world. You don't go to an Italian place and get a steak... So don't go to weenie world and get a tenderloin strip basket. There are probably 20 different types of little rides that kids could get on with quarters. And it is fenced in. So it would be a nice place as a family to come and sit with a roll of quarters and let the kids play while the parents sit on a picnic table. Weenie world is by far one of my favorite places to go in New Castle. Not only do they have delicious food but they make some of the best milkshakes and ice cream treats that you could ever want or ask for. There are toys outside that the kids can ride on. And they're not just toys that they buy off of Amazon,mthese are toys that the older generation enjoyed when they were younger or their kids when they were younger. It is an absolutely fun place to be and I hope Weenee world sticks around for a very long time. I used to think Weenee World was a five star but right now just a so so place with inconvenient summer hours. They are now closing Mon & Tues which once was not the case. On top of closing two days a week the went from 10PM closing to 8:00. So at the start of summer when it stays hot and sunny out until 9:00 PM or later the local ice cream drive-in is shortening their hours. It was open later in the Winter? We were nearby camping and so we made a stop here on the way home. At first, the place looked a bit run-down but it's a great place for kids as there is things they would love here. There are many cute "rides" to play on and even hula-hoops off to the side. We came close to opening so it wasn't busy and we got our food pretty quick. The menu is quite big and it was almost overwhelming but this is the place to be if you want fair food for half the price! We got 2 regular weenees, side winders, fried pickle chips, and a vanilla malt with a few toppings and only paid $13! The hot dogs were good, not the best I've ever had but it was still tasty! The side winders was great! Not too crispy and not soggy. I love dipping it in the buttermilk ranch that you can ask for. The malt was a bit thick but it was good as well.
