The one thing that I have difficulty with is at Kroger in order to get the best prices you have to pre-shop and download digital coupons into their app, that means I have to spend twice the amount of time shopping as I should have. Also, that while they have the technology to know that I have walked into their store and they don't recognize automatically recognize me as a valued customer. Why do they have to make best prices & deals so difficult? .

I love the meats and cheeses. When you really think about it, how often can you get items from Europe at a discount? Aldi has them, though not everything is from Europe. Of course, they also have the everyday items that you would buy from a typical American grocery store, including some rather inexpensive and fresh produce. They cover every category the big stores do and have some other items, such as small appliances and outdoor furniture, on occasion. Their skin care line is not only inexpensive, but it's apparently highly rated. When they were entering the Orlando, Florida market, they worked with tv news to provide a glimpse into their way of doing business. They constantly have taste testing of their products against national brands. If they don't feel their brand is good enough, they carry the national brand. In two or three cases, I think it's not so true or they're testing against the wrong brands. e.g., the Hot Pockets alternative tastes exactly like the WalMart brand, which is to say that it doesn't taste anywhere near as good as the Hot Pockets brand. On occasion, you'll see Hot Pockets and other Nestlé brands in the store as a special purchase. The people who work there do double duty. They stock the shelves and cashier. They're also incredibly friendly, no matter the circumstances.

It's conveniently located near several other grocery stores and retailers in town. Once I walked in, I was surprised by how small it was. It reminded me a lot of ALDI in terms of size and layout. I took advantage of their "Pick 5 for $24.99" promotion, which lets you mix and match, and bought 5 boxes of frozen foods. I also picked up a few other items at affordable prices. My least favorite part of the store was the produce section. The produce didn't look particularly fresh, and I could easily see mold on some of the blueberries. Because of that, I ended up buying very little produce. I did get some bananas since they looked fine. The checkout process is similar to ALDI's. The cashier puts your items unbagged into a cart, and then you take the cart to a separate bagging area to bag your groceries yourself. Unlike ALDI, this store provides bags, which I appreciate. One other thing I noticed is that this particular location doesn't show up on the store's app. However, I didn't see any items with digital coupons in the store, so I didn't have to worry about missing out on any deals. I haven't tried the 5 frozen foods I bought yet, but if they're good, I'll definitely keep coming back. Overall, this is a small grocery store, but it carries almost all of the usual items you'd expect to find, and the prices seem reasonable.

They have a large frozen section with things such as chicken patties, curly fries, bosco sticks etc. They also have a deli where you can find several varieties of cheeses and meats that are cut to your specific order. You just need to fill out a card with your name and order and put it in the box and the workers will get your stuff ready as you do the rest of your shopping. You will find a lot of bulk items here that they have packaged into smaller more useful quantities. They have homemade noodles in varying degrees of sizes as well as homemade bread from a local bakery. They have also started carrying homemade donuts from a local bakery as well but did not have any available the day I was there so if donuts is what you're coming for you may want to check and make sure they have some. There are a few shelves with all natural products such as vitamins and herbs. You'll also find things like socks, underwear and kids toys. Truly a variety store! This place is located in the heart of Amish country and so outside you'll notice a large hitching rack for tying the horse and buggies to. They also have a decent sized parking lot for cars as well. Overall this is a nice little store with pretty much anything you'd ever hope to want and is a nice place to check out if you're ever in the area.

They have different varieties and if you keep an eye on their Facebook page you will be able to see when the varieties are being stocked. Last week I picked up a couple dozen for $2 a dozen and that corn was so sweet you really didn't need any butter! Today I picked up 20 dozen for $1.50 a dozen it does not get better than that. I will be busy tomorrow! They offer more than corn here. They also have a little store where they have already frozen corn for you, they have baked goods, and all the other garden goodies. Yes it is out in the country and a little out of the way but stop by you will be happy you did.

They have two arctic foxes cooped up in a corn crib, and a coati (kind of like a raccoon) in a tiny, dark cage. The poor thing was just pacing like crazy. It made me so sad that it was hard to enjoy the rest of our trip. I just don't understand why they'd have these animals in such small enclosures - or even have them at all, since they're not exactly petting zoo material. Oh, and maybe it's too early in the season, but the apple situation was not looking so good (presumably due to the drought we had this summer). The yellow jackets did not get the memo, however.

It's small, the cages are very small and it'a mostly goats, chickens, turkeys, pigs, deer, guinea pigs, donkeys and a porcupine. If it bothers you to see animals in small enclosures, don't go. If you do go, keep your fingers out of the cages! Those suckers bite!
