This is a very challenging review to do. Kroger prices are typically very good. Their store labels are also good. Selection in all departments. I'm pleased with. The one thing that I have difficulty with is at Kroger in order to get the best prices you have to pre-shop and download digital coupons into their app, that means I have to spend twice the amount of time shopping as I should have. Also, that while they have the technology to know that I have walked into their store and they don't recognize automatically recognize me as a valued customer. I have shopped at Kroger ever since I have moved to this side of town 14 years ago. I get great savings from coupons and the app. I get coupons through the mail. I am able to find what I am looking for. Kroger Plus card is a big help to me. I don't know what I would do without Kroger. read more

Kroger has good store brand products. The company has tried to compensate for their high prices with good store brand products. Their soda and their ice cream sandwiches are quite good and keep me going to their stores. They've been carrying Turkey Hill tea and ice cream, which are both quite tasty and come in several varieties. I can count on them for Progresso soup, as they seem to have all of the varieties. I'm constantly surprised about the organic section. It's quite large, though not as big as a health food store itself (see Jungle Jim's for that) and has quite a variety including some brands which seem to be Kroger only. I'm less enthusiastic about the deli and bakery. The deli cuts meat ahead of time, so they have a lot of meat, sliced, in the case, drying out. I don't find their store brand label all that good there anyway. What I wouldn't give for some Dietz & Watson meat around this area. Is there a bakery on site? It doesn't seem to be. Remember to shop sales. It's a traditional way to do business in this area and you end up paying a lot more by ignoring the sales. At least, using their store card gives you an easy way to avoid the old store coupons. read more

I had prescriptions that could cause serious medical complications if doses are skipped, and yet sometimes, it would take days to get my prescription filled. I've heard from others in the area who've had horrible experiences at this store. Poorly stocked shelves, rotten produce, expired food on shelves, horrible customer service, and management that is full of excuses including putting blame on the fact that they can't hire good employees. Surrounding Kroger's provide top-notch customer service and shopping experiences, but we're talking Oxford, Huber Heights, Beavercreek - 30-40 minutes away. I've filed complaints with Kroger's corporate to start the ball rolling on getting improvements at this store, but so far, no visible changes. If Walmart and Meijer can step up their game here in town, why can't Kroger's? We should not stand for this. We need to demand a better overall shopping experience for Richmond citizens. read more

The delicatessen is not glamorous by any means, but it does provide for a hearty and fulfilling supper. Two pieces of crispy and succulent fried chicken, potato wedges that melt in your mouth, coleslaw (with just the right amount of zing) and a golden flaky biscuit for only $5? What a steal! Most people will take their order to go, but the dine-in area provides for a cozy "make yourself at home" ambience. I had a great time observing shoppers in the produce section while nibbling on my chicken, and even met a man who claimed to have climbed ten mountains in his life. One last note: Rose, the wonderful lady that crafted my feast, had a beautiful smile and friendly attitude that just made my day. 10/10 would dine again. read more

Compared to Krogers in the surrounding Dayton/Cinci area and Indy area, this Kroger is a bit run down and in need of some updates. It is fairly clean inside, but one can tell this place has seen better days. The exterior, particularly the parking lot, is in sad shape, but that seems to be par for the course in Richmond. Shopping centers here generally have shabby parking lot pavement and some pretty sorry-looking store fronts. As for the grocery aspect, it does have a fair variety of foods at prices higher than Walmart and Meijer, but overall it's an OK store. read more

I often get tired of the lunch options in Richmond and often decide to just run to Kroger and pick up a quick lunch. I live fairly close to this location, so it is conveniently located. However, I will not do my weekly grocery shopping here because of the prices. I think that it is silly that you have to use your Kroger Plus Card to get regularly priced groceries. Sure the receipt says you saved $x.xx but in actuality you're just getting the same price as you would if you shopped at Wal-Mart or Meijer. I find that I usually spend even more here when I do use my card, so I'm convinced that their prices are jacked up even higher. I think the staff are aware that Kroger jacks up their prices as well, because if I ever forget my card, they usually still give you the lower prices. This location does have friendly service, so I can't rate them too low. I just prefer to do my shopping elsewhere. read more

When I need to do my grocery shopping, my mind automatically breaks the choice of laction down to two places, Wal-Mart and Kroger. It doesn't help that they are next door to each other either! While the prices may be slightly lower at Wal-Mart, the quality and IQ of customer base are lower just the same. You may pay a dollar or two more in total on the bill, but the food at Kroger is vastly fresher and better looking (especially in fruits and vegetables) than any other local grocer. The staff (deli, bakery, etc) are helpful and will do what they can to make things easier for you! read more

This particular Kroger is really good for finding organic food on sale. They don't always have organic items on sale, but because not too many people buy them (I assume), you can occasionally get things for a steal! Not too long ago they were clearing out overstock of organic peanut and almond butter for $.99 a jar! These items are usually between $4-5 a jar, so I stocked up! I have also bought several other items at half off or more from the organic section. Just be sure to check the dates before you buy things! read more

KROGER GAS SCAM ALERT This store boasts a gas station on the lot and has a sign in front advertising the gas prices. Today, 5/9/17 at 5:00 I finished shopping and noticed the price on regular was an amazing $2.08/gallon! I drove over and started to fill up. Imagine my surprise to see that I was actually being charged $2.35/gallon... I stopped the pump and told the guy working inside that there was a mistake. He said 'Nope. We changed the price and I guess the store hasn't posted the higher price yet'. I asked for the price adjustment and he again said 'nope, can't do that'. As I left the station I drove by the $2.08/Gallon sign and it was still there. Unchanged. Beware of gas advertising by Kroger Richmond Indiana. read more
