Turns out they actually have some decent stuff! Think of it like TJ Maxx - it carries deeply-discounted overstock from mall stores like American Eagle, Aeropostale and Gap; men, women, women's plus and junior sizes only. It's basically the only place in town to get decent men's stuff and has more selection than JC Penney's. Some points to ponder: -There's a lot of merchandise crammed into a small space and there are no carts. Don't take your small children unless you enjoy trying to locate them amongst the racks. -The shoes, for the most part, are crappy plastic knockoffs. -They always have great selection of accessories: scarves, gloves and hats. I picked up a bunch of stuff in March for our friends who were visiting from South Florida. -They always have a good selection of winter coats, too. -Its proximity to Subway gives it a perpetually weird smell. Sort of like bread and lettuce. Any time I've been in the store, I'm usually only one of two or three shoppers. This could be because I try to go there early in the morning while my son is at preschool, avoiding the aforementioned supervision issue. Anyway, if you live in the Connersville area and have been making trips to Richmond for clothing staples, give Label Shopper a chance. You might find yourself pleasantly surprised.

Produce selection is small and some is very poor quality. This store is a good place to stock up on canned goods, baking goods, etc. Cashiers are usually very friendly but there are never enough of them. You usually have to wait in line for awhile.

The lady in J&J's literally groaned when I explained the issue. Then she took off on a tirade informing me she was not going to do this for free when THEY sell watch batteries and people go elsewhere. There was no intent on my part for J&J to provide a free service I explained to her. Still not satisfied she continued to berate me, making no effort to fix my watch. I asked her for the item back and that I would go elsewhere. While I understand her frustration she lacked professionalism and was inappropriate with a paying customer. Impulse buying is a merchants livelihood. The concept is during the interim while she is fixing my watch I would be browsing through their store discovering a not-needed-but-wanted pair of earrings or bracelet. Some of the prices I found to be a little high in here but overall pretty nice little shop. They had a lot of varied items and I still found a couple of things I purchased. They had a clothing items, antiques, vintage items, and assorted other things. The clothes they had were both children and adults. On this day their credit card machine was down so I ended up having to run out to my vehicle to get my checkbook but it was all good after that. The lady at the counter was really nice and one of the items I bought was glass and she wrapped it nicely so it didn't break. I will probably venture back in here to see what they have another time.

Two stories of antique artwork, home goods, clothing, decor, housed in a historic building. What's not to like? Don't come with anyone who "hates shopping " as you will want to stay a long time. Something around every corner. Thoughtfully organized into various rooms, nooks and hallways. The kind proprietress told me they are actually called Yesterday's Antiques at the Vinton House- but they answer to both! There was a sweet little section of very old books which was one of my objectives and I came away with two history textbooks to read, preserve, and pass on to future generations. I was hoping for some records too, but no vinyl here, although they had a mess of DVDs. On some things you can get a discount for paying cash- ask.
