A relatively new Starbucks store located in Ramsbottom, it opened in August 2019 as part of the EuroGarages "service station" on Stubbins Lane, yet still looks/feels new.
It is one of my favourite drive-thru locations of Starbucks in the area in terms of beverage quality and location, Ramsbottom is a nice market town in the borough of Bury, leading up to this location, it has a nice country, old-fashioned feel to it, while the store its' self looks bright, bold and modern and it's a nice juxtaposition.
With this being a franchise location, owned by Eurogarages, the prices are slightly higher than a regular store, but the prices weren't too extreme compared to other franchise locations of Starbucks, I think my drink was around 20p more than usual.
The staff member working seemed friendly, I do think he struggled to hear me despite standing right there due to the drive-thru headset (even with no other cars in the drive-thru at the time), so it was frustrating having to ask things more than once.
My Venti Iced Vanilla Latte was good, they served it with the new style cup and lid to eliminate the need for a paper straw (I hate paper straws, and much prefer plastic or sustainable bamboo!)
I did find it strange how the barista was unable to pass my drinks to me directly, and instead tried to balance it on a tray, being in a car I found it difficult to grab the drinks and felt like this so-called COVID precaution did nothing but make it a little more strange and difficult to grab my drinks.
On a further visit, I was pleased with my iced Double Chocolatey Macchiato, a new festive drink and my friend enjoyed her Honeycomb edition, the drinks were unstirred however, with most the syrup sunk at the bottom, after a careful shake in the car, this helped to fix it.
4* - Good Starbucks location in a good location, a large/cool seating area is available for when they are allowed to open. read more
