McDonald's is a restaurant which needs no introduction, they're everywhere, in the UK, USA and…read moreeverywhere in between, rumor has it they even colonized the moon, now back to all seriousness, this is a drive-thru store on Bury New Road.
It can be quite difficult to get in, being on a small retail estate with a few independent shops, right near a Tesco.
I came here in the evening, at about 7:30 - 8pm so I can't really comment on service, as it was simply a few staff working, the night staff
The store was quite busy for the time, with a few cars in the drive through. The menu was not displayed very clear, especially for the drinks.
The staff didn't seem too helpful and only named one coffee, in the end I settled for a Vanilla latte,it was presented quite nice with cream and chocolate sprinkles, and for a Mcdonald's it wasn't bad either, but it wasn't Starbucks quality, but for the price and branding of Mcdonald's, I didn't expect that, as they certainly aren't a coffee shop in general and they certainly don't roast the beans here, as I'm aware!
I also ordered some chips, they were a little bland, however they were still okay, the portion size for "medium" was quite large and they were quite hot.
The staff remained unhelpful, and didn't tell me which coffee was which, even though I casually said it at a raised voice to my friend, while looking at the woman, hoping she'd listen to me and help me out, they were not really busy, they was no cars behind me, it might have been a night shift, but still it doesn't mean the staff have to be like walking zombies, and as helpful as sun tan lotion in the North Pole.
This isn't a bad Mcdonald's branch for quality served and could definitely warrant 3 stars in the future, but as of now due to issues with getting in and out of the store and the staff being highly unhelpful, and the food still just being good and nothing better, I sadly can't go over 2 stars yet, but hopefully I can upgrade this store up to three in the future.
