We were seated upstairs and our server inquired if any one of us had any dietary restrictions and/or allergies. When we ordered our server made sure to inform us which items could possibly have cross contamination and offered alternatives. We ordered a healthy yoghurt bowl (berry compote, granola, coconut, blueberries, bananas, goji berry and honey), sausage and eggs on a brioche bread and hash browns and the English breakfast and all was absolutely delicious. Throughout the entire time we were there, we were asked if we needed anything else or needed more water, unlike some of the other places we have dined in the area. Well I don't know if they have bucked their ideas up since the previous reviews, but we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. If you expect a two-for-one type dining experience then you will undoubtably be disappointed, but if you want good quality freshly cooked food then this is the place for you. I had a starter of chicken liver with black pudding, main course of pork fillet with vegetables (and a superb black pudding mashed potato) and then a berry pavlova to finish. Even on a Wednesday night the place was pretty busy, the staff were polite and friendly, and mercifully happy to leave you alone to enjoy your meal without constantly badgering you. Price wise as I mentioned, this is not your two-for-a-tenner type place, so for most people (including us) best saved as an occasional treat. But what a treat it is. We will be returning in any case.

Today I was served by Nikki, who could give lessons in customer service! She was polite, bubbly, friendly and above all knowledgeable! She was able to recommend a few things for breakfast, and had the queue forming behind an indecisive me, in the palm of her hand. I was directed to some muesli as I wanted something healthier, (Although I also grabbed a ham and cheese flatbread, don't judge me) Nikki told me everything that was in the muesli and it was as good as her description! If I'm early for a train from Sheffield station, I'll always come back here.
