A new Starbucks store, located inside Sainsbury's in Urmston town centre, is one of the latest additions to the partnership between Starbucks and Sainsbury's, which replaces units previously occupied by Sainsbury's own Cafe brand. On a personal milestone, this marks review number #3900 for me.
It is located right at the front of Sainsbury's, which is useful if you just want to call in for coffee, while in town, without having to trek through a large supermarket.
It still looks and feels quite new, it's quite modern, with a good amount of comfortable seating.
The store seemed to have more baristas working than customers on my latest visit, the staff did seem friendly and ensured quick and efficient service.
I ordered a Venti Toffee Nut Cream Cold Brew, with my reusable cup discount, and this came to £4.35 - the usual price. Starbucks cards are also accepted which is useful. You are also able to use the Starbucks app to order ahead and pay.
I was informed that they don't always stock the Cold Brew, however, luckily they did have it in stock on my occasion. I did enjoy my drink, the consistency of the toffee nut cream was good, rather than being made too thick, which meant I was able to stir it into my drink with ease. I did have to ask for the sprinkles on top, but they were added without a kerfuffle.
Tables were not being actively cleaned/wiped down, I understand they might have put this off due to not being very busy, but surely that would be the best time of any, especially when the staff would rather stand around and loudly chat amongst themselves.
TIP: If you're visiting on a Sunday, remember they do close early, down to Sainsbury's being bound by Sunday Trading Hours, meaning they close at 5 pm rather than 8 pm.
