This Starbucks store opened in 2022 as part of Sainsbury's shake-up to replace their in-store Cafes with other brands including Starbucks.
It is a rather attractive and comfortable location, located at the front of the supermarket, meaning you can enter this Starbucks through Wilmslow Rd without needing to walk through Sainsbury's, however, if you plan to walk through Sainsbury's, from the parking lot, you may experience difficulty getting through the security gates which demand a receipt to pass through (You will not experience this coming in from Wilmslow Rd entrance).
It actually ends up being located across the way from their old Starbucks location, which has since been converted into a Costa.
The interior was modern and spacious and had lots of comfortable seating, and areas ideal to relax or work.
The baristas seemed friendly, but after being out of stock of the Cold Brew that I had originally ordered, they offered to make me any other drink at the same price, so I opted for an Iced White Mocha.
My drink tasted good and was up to the usual Starbucks standards, as a corporate-owned location, this branch supports mobile ordering, accepts Starbucks cards, and does not have the franchise levy, which is how it should be.
There's also a book library here, where you can bring in books to donate, and take one home yourself, which is a cool idea that you rarely see in chain coffee shops, or any coffee shops these days for that matter.
My guests also complimented the comfort of the Starbucks store and the quality of their drinks on this occasion.
A very nice Starbucks location with good service, and drink quality, as well as a few additional features. The worst part for me is the receipt gates in the main Sainsbury's, which can be hard to get through, and the constant loud alarms that arise from them which bellow through the store.
