    Blonde Vanilla Latte
    Peter X.

My wife and I stopped by here after visiting the Powell Bookstore. This Starbucks is right across the street so it was convenient for us. When we walked in, there wasn't a line but we looked for a table first. After we found one and my wife went back to the cashier, there was a line of already 6 people. So she decided to place a online order of her Blonde Vanilla Latte. It said the drink would be ready within 5 minutes. After 5 minutes pass, they never announce her name. She waited another 5 minutes before going to the barista to ask about her drink. Once she did that, the barista brought the drink from behind the counter and not where the mobile pickup sign was. So we waited longer than we should've. They have outside seating here but no one sat there and I could see why because of the homeless people around.

Awesome Huge Beautiful Huge Awesome Store :) SITREP Hanging out in Portland with friends before hitting the Shadowplay Club event at the Fez Ballroom. This is nice inexpensive chill spot for the hour we wait. THE SETUP The size of this Starbucks on impressive and has lots going on for it - in my mind, almost rivals the Starbucks on Olive Way on Capitol Hill in Seattle. More specifically: * Lots of wood varnished tables in a decidedly Pacific Northwest Style. * Open late - 11PM - Holy Hell! * The Clover machine is humming since it's making my Tall Blonde Roast. As I discovered at the large Monterey Peninsula Starbucks, earlier this year, the Clover makes the process of brewing my roast a lot tastier with less aftertaste. * The WiFi is screaming fast * The bathrooms are immaculate and clean THE LOWDOWN Excellent late evening coffee stop before heading on to your next evening fun stop.

With all things considered: this Starbucks is beyond in service, quality, and options the typical par. I appreciate the decor and architecture in here. Lots of windows. Clean and well stocked. Overall a good cup of coffee

I have mixed feelings about my visit this morning. There is so much to love about the vibe here,…read morebut the actual drink execution left me frustrated. The Pros: First off, the staff is incredibly sweet and friendly. They make you feel welcome the second you walk in. The modern, cool design of the space is top tier. It is exactly the kind of atmosphere you want when grabbing a coffee in Portland. I also love their progressive approach to dairy; they default to plant based milks and there is no upcharge for them, which is a huge win for accessibility and sustainability. The Cons: Unfortunately, the experience was completely undercut by the quality of the pour. The oat milk curdled almost immediately. I am well aware that Stumptown uses a more naturally acidic brew, which is a science experiment waiting to happen with plant milks, and I know it is technically safe to drink. However, the separation completely ruins the mouthfeel. Instead of a creamy, cohesive sip, I was left with a watery base and grainy floaties. It is disappointing to be told that this is normal when specialty cafes have the tools like barista grade buffers and temperature control to prevent this. While the ethics and the aesthetic are on point, a drink that looks and feels curdled just is not an acceptable standard to serve to customers. Summary: Great people, great space, great pricing, but the technical execution of the plant based drinks needs a serious overhaul.

I have probably spent a couple thousand dollars on their business. Not being able to pour my cup of coffee in a to-go cup when leaving is ridiculous and not standard practice. I found this out the hard way when I had ordered a drip coffee for here and, when leaving, the women kinda snapped at me when I kindly asked for an 8oz to-go cup. I'm on their bi weekly coffee subscription. I'm located in Portland and my bag of beans was routed from Portland to Detroit, then San Francisco then back to my home in Portland on my last order. How odd. I tried reaching out to them to figure out what's going on and there is no way of contacting their business. Their website has no contact information and I called multiple times and no one would pick up the phone. I finally found a personal gmail account linked to their business somewhere on their google business profile but no one ever responded to me. I find it to be very odd that they're running an online business, you can't contact them, and they don't have anyone attending customer service. That's very bad practice. If it weren't for how good the coffee is, PushXPull would be dead last on my preferred coffee shop. I'll update my review once these issues are addressed.

The black sesame latte was also great, especially if you like nutty flavors. It has a natural sweetness with a deep roasted sesame taste that almost reminds me of peanut butter, making it both comforting and unique. It manages to be effortlessly cool without being intimidating, and the quality of the coffee is consistently top-tier. Here is why it's my favorite corner of the Pearl District: The Coffee Curation: What sets Barista apart is that they are a multi-roaster cafe. They feature a rotating selection of the best beans from across the country (and locally!). Whether you're drinking a pour-over or a traditional macchiato, the flavor profiles are always distinct and expertly pulled. Masterful Latte Art: The baristas here are true artists. Every drink looks like a masterpiece, but more importantly, the milk texture is always silky and perfectly steamed. The Aesthetic: The space is stunning. With its dark wood accents, industrial-chic lighting, and those massive windows looking out onto the cobblestone streets of the Pearl, it's the perfect spot to people-watch or get lost in a book. It feels like a cozy, sophisticated library for coffee lovers. The Staff: Despite being one of the busiest spots in the neighborhood, the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They are always happy to nerd out about tasting notes or help you pick a bag of beans to take home. The Vibe: It's a great balance of "neighborhood regular" and "must-visit destination."
