I was so excited to walk into the brand new Starbucks. Very clean well decorated. And the coffee smell was amazing. The 20 something year-old young man at the cash register was extremely rude. I had $100 bill in my hand and I was going to pay for three coffees. He looked at $100 bill and told me he could not make change for $100 bill. My truck was detailed about three days ago, I go to get a drink in the drive thru and the employee didn't properly seal the lid on my iced caramel macchiato. Needless to say it spilled in my truck. I called their business number to explain the situation and they instantly told me to call corporate. I'm pretty laid back but this was not the best customer service. They told me since the drink was handed off to me and had a lid on before being passed off they can't do anything. This was a pretty stellar experience from beginning to end. I noticed they have a new drink for the pumpkin season. It reminds me of their vanilla sweet cream cold brew except it's with pumpkin sweet cream. I asked what the sugar count was... and they didn't know. "Go check on the app" was their answer. It might be nice with new drinks to have an infographic on hand to show customers. They were nice about it. There's 31 grams of sugar btw....you know, if you were interested. Super clean, well organized. Great floor plan to provide little books to study or work. Didn't check the wireless speed this time, but always happy with that on previous visits. read more

This is the slowest Starbucks I have ever been to, gave it two chances, one was in the drive through and it took 5 minutes at the drive through window to get a coffee, a tea, and an espresso drink and checkout. The second time I ordered coffee for pickup got there 10 minutes after I ordered and then waited another 25 minutes in the store while they served the entire inside line and drive through line before me and the other 10 people waiting for pickup orders. I placed an order earlier this morning, unfortunately when I arrived the baristas were extremely busy. They had a massive overload of orders, instore/drive thru customers. I felt bad for the workers but I couldn't stay long to wait for my order. Later in the day I called and let them know about not being able to stay to grab my order ( I was on my way to work ) and they said they'd be willing to remake the order and I could pick it up. I spoke with Shy on the phone and she was EXTREMELY a blessing to speak with. This is the only place I go to grab for coffee and every time i go the staff are always pleasant to speak with. Normally I don't go to Starbucks since I do my best to stay away from corporate chain places. Mom loves their coffee though and this place was open on Christmas Day. We stopped here on our way to the hospital since my Nei-Nei (grandma in Chinese) was there finishing up surgery. Obviously I was not in the best mood seeing that I had to go to the hospital on Christmas Day. Once we walked inside we were greeted by a friendly staff who got mom some coffee and pumpkin bread and myself a peppermint mocha. They also showed mom how to register a Starbucks account online to get points and savings (mom isn't the most tech-savvy as you can tell). I'm impressed by this location and staff and I'll make sure to stop here whenever I'm visiting Nei-Nei. I'm staying in Punta Gorda for a few months and this Starbucks had been (so I thought) the only thing serving decent coffee late at night - I would work here for a few hours a few times a week until I finally got tired of going back. A few things makes this place unbearable: 1. Much of the staff is absolutely unbearable complaining to each other about their lives, their jobs, their shifts, their money problems, etc... (not to paint a generic brush, there are professional folks who do work here, but there are a lot of negative nancy's as well). One guy was in the process of serving out his last few days there and was loudly saying, "I got a job way better than this somewhere else". That's how much the staff hates working here. 2. It is below -20 degrees in this place. 3. They ask your name, and then they never call you when its ready so you you'll be sitting there after 10 minutes wondering whats up. Sometimes slow, sometimes its been sitting there. Great Wifi though. I'm so tired of these people and hearing their problems I started going to the Waffle House across the street. read more

Visiting Florida and finally met up with a couple of friends here. The employees know this couple very well I guess as they nearly had their usual drinks prepared by the time they hit the counter. Now that's customer service! Lobby and store are quite clean and comfortable as are the bathrooms. Well, I can't say the bathrooms are "comfortable" but you know what I mean! The girl behind the counter looked at me less than amused and said we have what's there. Okay sorry I asked I ordered the same drink I always get. They made it quickly. Great. None of the matcha tea was stirred into the drink so there was just a goop of powder at the bottom of the cup.
