Popped in quick for an afternoon iced coffee pick me up. There were a few people taking advantage of the open space to get some work done on their laptops, but I would say the store was mostly empty around 2:45 on a Wednesday. I was greeted immediately and placed my order at the counter. I asked for my iced coffee to be half as sweet with a splash of half and half. Brand new Starbucks with drive thru just opened recently. Not sure we needed another Starbucks as there is one across the street in target one across the street on Siebert and one down the street by Jeep dealer. With all that said, The store is descent size and has plenty of seating. Parking is not great but ok. I believe they built it mostly for the drive thru feature. The baristas where fast and friendly. I ordered a venti latte and it was perfect and came out very fast. At the time of this review this Starbucks is only open Saturday and Sunday. It is not in the greatest location as you can drive right by it without seeing it act all. Once you pass it that is it and it is difficult to get too again. read more

Stopped in after my boy's basketball game next door at Holy Cross...he wanted a venti hot chocolate. The place had a couple folks waiting for orders. Everything seemed covid safe, workers properly masked. The boy's hot chocolate "tasted kinda burnt" to him, but he said it was "drinkable". He didn't finish it, tossing half of it away when we got home. My triple venti latte was fine. No biggie...I'm not normally a Starbucks go-er... and sometimes things are less than normal, like the boy's drink. read more

My name is Eryn, and I'm addicted to Starbucks. I had only been to this Starbucks a few times over the last four years of living in Pittsburgh, but over the last week, I've found myself here four times. The weekday morning rush isn't so bad after 10, it kinda calms down a little and you can actually read or function without the deafening roar that you get in here over the weekends. They have several comfy chairs, and tons of uncomfortable booth and chair space. I was completely satisfied the occasions that I came here in the past, until yesterday's visit. I ordered a grande cold brew, sweetened with 2% milk. I received a sweet as sin Carmel thing. It looked like cold brew, but It was not good. I drank it anyway. When I finished it, I took it back up, along with my friends coffee, to get refills. Somehow, his Venti Cold Brew with 2% turned into my weird caramel thing, and he couldn't drink it. Mine came out a little better than before, but was still off. Mind you, I have cold brews at least once a day everyday, all over the city. I don't know how you can mess this up. Maybe it was just a weird Friday morning thing, or a miscommunication. It's no going to swear me off of this place, in any way. It isn't often I experience a Starbucks employee making suggestions but I was happy to get someone who really was helping me figure out what to order (most of the time I feel like I have to order quickly so I don't hold up the line). I happened to inquire about the pumpkin spice latte (which is apparently back). But then decided to go back to my more standard flat white. She noticed my desire to try something new so she suggested adding a pump of pumpkin spice to my flat white. She then mentioned she has a friend who adds 2 pumps and has some cute name for it (something like spritz of fall?). She also immediately let me know if I didn't like it she would make a new regular flat white for me. I went with her suggestion am glad I did. It was indeed a nice hint of fall for me :). read more

This location we visited was at Ross Park Mall. We stopped basically for some sweet treats. They had pumpkin muffins and pumpkin scones with frosting. My girlfriend and I got one of each and they were so good! I haven't tried their coffee in a long time but I do know depending upon the flavor it can be strong. Look to find Starbucks nearly everywhere. Some even have drive throughs. read more

Due to traveling for work, I visit a different Starbucks location almost daily and this one is by far my favorite! Thursday is my favorite work day of the week because I know I get to visit this Starbucks! All of the baristas here are SO FRIENDLY. They are always ready to chat with you about your day while they are multi tasking and quickly making drinks. Plus after only a few visits they remembered not only my drink but my name which cannot be easy with so many customers. So many Starbucks I feel I wait anywhere from 5-15 minutes for my drink in the morning, but not here. They are always on point and fast. Not to mention my caramel iced coffee always tastes sooo much better here than anywhere else. I don't know what they do at this location, but they are appreciated and always make my day! read more

Anytime I have stopped at this Starbucks location, they have been out of stock of a lot of their typical items. The restrooms are also usually pretty filthy. The positives are that the staff is nice, and there is a nice large dining area. I still would rather stop at another nearby location instead. read more

My husband and I walked into the Starbucks on McKnight Rd. to a happy and friendly staff. We ordered our drinks and then began looking for a place to sit. We sat at a nearby table and waited for our drinks. While waiting I noticed how filthy it was. Food crumbs EVERYWHERE with sugar packets and crumpled napkins on the ground. No sugar at the self-serve stand and none of the cream labeled. Did I put half and half in my coffee, or skim milk?...I have no idea. I can't believe how crazy loud it is in here alllll the time. I'm sure it has to do with the acoustics of the building, but it's ridiculous. Even with noise cancelling headphones, it's loud AF. The machines are loud, the staff is loud, and then the customers have to be loud to try to chat over the other loudness. Maybe it's me, but when I go to a coffee shop, I like quiet.. Why is this place so dirty? The coffee is the standard Starbucks coffee we all know. But seriously, someone needs to get a broom and a trash can and clean this place up. This place was remodeled not too long ago. As of early July, it still had that awesome "new store" smell. They've got a really large space and have spread out the furniture so you can have a conversation with friends without triggering your claustrophobia. There are a handful of tables and chairs outside. Employees were all super friendly and went out of their way to make iced tea for me (yes, I was "that guy"). Plenty of parking in the lot, though you may have to contend with church parkers on Sundays. read more

The store was clean and there were lots of things to look at in the merchandising section while I waiting for my white chocolate peppermint mocha. All Starbucks are NOT created equal. That being said, this location is just ok. It's in a strip mall with not the greatest parking situation. It's always tough to find a space. The tables outside are always full of people who seem to be chain smoking. There's no way to avoid walking through this cloud. There are now signs up saying "No Smoking" (there never used to be), but no one observes this and it is not enforced. Unpleasant. There is seldom a time where you don't wait in a hefty line at this location. No biggie. But the staff isnt' the fastest at getting orders out and you will wait sometimes and uncomfortable amount of time for your drink. The drinks are consistent with what you expect from Starbucks. I think there may be a Starbucks boot camp that baristas must go through, because my tea/apple spice/hot chocolate always tastes exactly the same no matter where I get it from. Oh, except for the girl at the Target Starbucks that put a shot of espresso in my hot apple spice. I immediately got sick. I don't drink coffee! I ordered apple cider! Bleh!!!! Ok, I'm getting off topic...can you tell I'm scarred from this experience? There are always people hanging out with no agenda, just like any other Starbucks. I don't understand this, but I get that people do this. I was once in line at this Starbucks and noticed an older couple, sitting right next to me, enjoying their drinks. Then I noticed that the elderly gentleman was clipping his fingernails and promptly sweeping them on the floor. EWWWWWW!!! I know this isn't Starbucks fault, but wow, I will always be reminded of this horrific sight when I enter this location, and I will probably continue to bring it up for years to come to whoever is with me. Okay so I realize I shouldn't go into a Starbucks and expect anything amazing..I mean I get that but here is the thing...it simply isn't a coffee shop by my terms. It has coffee yes but it also offers up an area to relax but no real way of making it a relaxing area. It's loud and it's like you are at a food court at the mall when inside. The staff was friendly but the feel of the place is just ughh...ughhhh. The parking was decent due to it being a really large area and everything else is your basic Starbucks experience. I honestly wouldn't mind giving it a better review, heck the Starbucks in Market Square I feel is 10x better due to the store layout and there is no reason why that one couldn't be the same. As a very frequent Starbucks visitor (although not for this store), this is a nice enough shop. They have a clover brew machine, which is always nice. Outside seating is available and because this is in the burbs, parking is free. As I said, I don't normally come to this store to get work done/have meetings, but since I had an afternoon meeting up this way, I thought I would just camp out for the day where I could get free wifi & good coffee. Only problem - one of the baristas is extremely loud (although she seems to be a pleasant person). If I wasn't staying here for work, it wouldn't be a big deal, but it seems like she is yelling everything she says. It is just a little annoying... Pretty standard Starbucks. This location is pretty busy for how small it is, but my drink was quickly made. Baristas friendly, chairs comfy.

The staff seemed more interested in stocking the shelves than waiting on me. I was the only one in line and when they finally waited on me they were OUT of the dark coffee!! I do not care for their Pike Roast which they did offer. This was at 6:30 AM!! on a weekday morning. There was not even dark roast brewing. The workers here are friendlier than the average Starbucks employee in the Burgh. This one is deceptive in that it doesn't seem like one out of four Starbucks that seems to capture almost an established Indie coffee shop buzz, but each time I've been there I've stayed until close and gotten a lot of work done. GOod energy in here for a small strip mall coffee store! There's a good pizza place and Indian place right next door if you're bored of Starbuck pastries / sandwiches. My home on the North Side is pretty much situated between this Starbucks and those downtown, so it's a crap shoot when deciding which to go when I need some bux' in my life. This Starbucks is located on busy McKnight Road, so it's the perfect spot when you're out running errands and need a jolt of caffeine. Granted, I'm not a regular, but it does seem like this location goes through employees like a revolving door. Perhaps it's the busy atmosphere that's ends up being a turn-off to some employees that work here? To that point, this location is pretty much always busy, meaning that you expect a line and be thankful if you get a chair to sit in. Also, given it's location in the suburbs and proximity to the Ross Park Mall, be prepared for lots of soccer moms, crazed shoppers, and tweens getting their Frappuccino fix. read more

I LOVE Starbucks but this is a crap location. No parking, super long waits, crowded/jammed parking lot.

They don't need my review but they're going to get it. It's a chain store which everybody knows about. People love them where they hate them where they just go there is able to cup of coffee. Personally I hate them for one particular reason. They have destroyed coffee at all the local hospitals for me. I can no longer go anywhere UPMC without having to suffer this terrible coffee. No other alternatives so if I have to I do go to the water fountain. I don't see what people think of this place I even work for them at one point in my life never thought much of them never will call me disgruntled, or grumpy or whatever you want but this place ain't all that read more

While the location is perfect being that it is right on McKnight Road near the mall and Target, that "perfect location" also lends itself to this location being crowded all.the.time. I stopped in here with my bf this past Sunday around 2:45 and there was a total of one table in the entire place that was not occupied. It kinda annoys me that one person will take up an entire table that has six chairs at it so if people wouldn't do that maybe there would be more seating.....anyways, staff are very efficient due to the fact they need to be to keep the line moving. Staff is also friendly enough. Also the outlet situation is lacking just FYI for anyone that is coming in to do work on a device that may need to be plugged in at some point. It was my first time having a Very Berry Hibiscus refresher which was quite fruity and tasty with real berries mixed in. Since the location is so convenient and has free wifi (as All Starbucks do), I will be back but hopefully I can snag a table near an outlet next time. read more

Like mostly everyone else in the world, I enjoy a good Starbucks coffee. This Starbucks is on my way to work so obviously I feel compelled to come in and spend my life savings on a coffee each morning. However, the line can be dreadful and the wait can be even worse! Just the other morning, I felt I was waiting ages for my coffee to be made because the barista was talking away with her co-worker and kept leaving her station to talk about personal issues. Totally fine, I think your work place should be fun but if there is a line of people waiting to order and six people hovering over your station to get their coffee-please be mindful when to work and when to chat. On a better note, I am never disappointed with my coffee. I have been ordering the Starbucks Double Shot on Ice-not too sweet and definitely not too bitter. But, be prepared to spend at least $4.00 if not more on a medium drink! Again, spending my life savings on my coffee addiction! read more
