Cold brew on tap

Starbucks is Starbucks This one is pretty big This one has outdoor seating which is a good thing Take note they close at 5pm everyday

Why is the coffee always gone?
Eryn P.

My name is Eryn, and I'm addicted to Starbucks. I had only been to this Starbucks a few times over the last four years of living in Pittsburgh, but over the last week, I've found myself here four times. The weekday morning rush isn't so bad after 10, it kinda calms down a little and you can actually read or function without the deafening roar that you get in here over the weekends. They have several comfy chairs, and tons of uncomfortable booth and chair space. I was completely satisfied the occasions that I came here in the past, until yesterday's visit. I ordered a grande cold brew, sweetened with 2% milk. I received a sweet as sin Carmel thing. It looked like cold brew, but It was not good. I drank it anyway. When I finished it, I took it back up, along with my friends coffee, to get refills. Somehow, his Venti Cold Brew with 2% turned into my weird caramel thing, and he couldn't drink it. Mine came out a little better than before, but was still off. Mind you, I have cold brews at least once a day everyday, all over the city. I don't know how you can mess this up. Maybe it was just a weird Friday morning thing, or a miscommunication. It's no going to swear me off of this place, in any way. I've got a blueberry muffin and hot coffee today, and they're pretty darn good!! Happy Eating!

This location we visited was at Ross Park Mall. We stopped basically for some sweet treats. They had pumpkin muffins and pumpkin scones with frosting. My girlfriend and I got one of each and they were so good! I haven't tried their coffee in a long time but I do know depending upon the flavor it can be strong. Look to find Starbucks nearly everywhere. Some even have drive throughs.

The Black & White Mocha is amazing!

The gentleman working the register on Sunday Dec 30, 2019, Will, was very friendly and actually seemed like he enjoyed his job. Also noticed the other employees were up eat and smiling while they were working. Very nice surprise compared to other Starbucks locations. Try the Black and White Mocha while you can, it's fabulous!

Holiday time at Starbucks.

The coffee at this Starbucks is like all other Starbucks. It is consistent so you know what you get. Unfortunately when the line is long they are not very good at expediting. If you happen to be there when church gets out you can be in for a long wait!

Pretty standard Starbucks. This location is pretty busy for how small it is, but my drink was quickly made. Baristas friendly, chairs comfy.

I stopped by here a couple of Sundays ago with my wife. We were actually headed to Marshall's at the Block at Northway whenever we happened to spot this truck just outside. Since it is a food truck, there's not much to say about it other than it was parked on the sidewalk and had a sign up advertising their specials. Other than that I noticed a sign in the window saying that they sold Defer coffee which I appreciated since it is both local and good. Since there was no line I immediately proceeded up to the window and was able to place my order for a oatmilk latte. The oatmilk itself was only an extra $.75 which I feel like is a fair price for such an upgrade. In any case after only a minute or two wait I had my coffee and was on my way. Whenever I finally was able to taste it I will admit that I was happy with it. The coffee itself had a deep and rich flavor to it while the oatmilk had a strong oat flavor. Those two items were in proportion to each and played nicely together. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. I thought that my coffee here was good and liked the idea of a coffee food truck.

You do NOT have to have a Capital One product in order to be a customer here. My husband and I were customers here one time. Multiple employees greeted us. *Nobody* tried to sell us anything--phew! The foods and beverages were sold by Verve Coffee Roasters. The menu there listed coffees, lattes, teas, baked goods, foods such as avocado toast, sodas, and juices. The tables and chairs were clean. We ordered a 12-ounce Chai Latte and an 8-ounce Hot Apple Cider. I tried to order a smoothie, but the employee told me that they had no bananas so could not make the smoothie. We used our Capital One credit card to get 50% off our beverages, so I recommend using that promotion if you have such a card. The total price for both beverages was only about $5 plus tax and tip. My husband said that these beverages tasted very good but not the best, and I agree.

Then, they place it in the oven for a few seconds. I'm given a melted mess that is refrigerator cold in the middle. The order and cookie was a thorough disappointment.

It was wonderful to see the kind of atmosphere Cafe Conmigo has cultivated here...so welcoming! The barista's were very friendly and seemed to have great energy! I really enjoy how they have reusable glassware for enjoying items inside the cafe--their super cute mug is pictured here. I'm honestly super excited to go back! I loved how I was greeted and how it felt welcoming + how many things they offer outside of the drinks. They sell plants and other cute little items (esp Pittsburgh themed). Seating was super cool but I sadly needed an outlet and had to reserve at a larger table as the smaller ones were full. I love how the plants and the environment gives a nice work space without it being too overwhelming. I felt comfortable though I felt a bit weird being at a larger table for being 1 person. (I also went in the afternoon about 1.5 hours before they closed). Now let's get into the food and the drink which is probably the highlight of the visit. I am a huge, let me say huge again, matcha snob. I know the best of the best and I get so nervous trying other shop's matchas but I was really blown away with how good this tasted. It wasn't too sweet or too "greeny" and the quality tasted really good compared to other places I have been too. I did get lavender as a flavor shot because some shops are either a hit or a miss with lavender (or any flavor where you can't taste it). I could definitely taste the lavender in here and it was really refreshing. To the gluten free community, this muffin was so good. I wish I remembered the name of who made it but it wasn't too sweet for being a muffin and was really good especially warmed. I felt like I was enjoying a balance of both sweet and refreshing than an overkill. I am also one of those people that would put chocolate with my matcha and possibly lavender as it combines really well. I definitely want to come back and try their coffee drinks as I'm curious about it. Another positive is their parking and getting out of the lot isn't so scary as there is a light and you don't have to risk your life trying to cut across the highway to get where you're going. The only complaint I would have, though it was a lovely treat, is that the pricing seemed a lot higher than what I'm used to paying at other local coffee shops. I felt like $1 for non-dairy milk is odd when a lot of other shops charge either 0 to .50 cents max and I felt like the drink overall was more pricey than if I went to another shop for a matcha. I don't know how often I will be back but it was nice to try it. (Gluten free stuff is always pricey so I can't complain about that..)

Here are my reviews for what we ate: Berries & Cream Crepe - 4 stars - This gluten-free crepe contained cream cheese, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and whipped cream. It looked beautiful and tasted very good. Nutella & Fruit Crepe - 5 stars - This gluten-free crepe contained Nutella and slices of strawberries and bananas. I loved the flavors of the Nutella and fruits. Egg-Bacon-Cheese Breakfast Sandwich - 5 stars - My husband enjoys this sandwich so much that he ordered it during both visits. Turkey-Bacon-Swiss Wrap - 5 stars - This wrap contained a good amount of turkey, lettuce, and Swiss cheese, and I liked the raspberry-walnut dressing on the side. Handcrafted Soda - 4.5 stars - Seltzer sodas come in many different flavors, and we went with cherry, pomegranate, and apple. Mango Smoothie - 5 stars - Smoothies are available in a few flavors, and this mango one with whipped cream tasted excellent.
