Just want to give a shout out to this location, my neighborhood Starbucks. They're all very very nice and tolerant and I can tell the store is run well. I'm a mobile orderer but I always thank everyone when I come in to pick up my (always correct and tasty) beverage

We stopped in here to quickly warm up with a cup of coffee. I always am nice to people serving me, especially in big cities, because their jobs are probably stressful. Plus, unless you were raised in a cave, you should just say please and thank you regardless. Even with that though, I'm bummed the staff was terse and unfriendly. When I asked if they had decaf coffee they almost seemed angry I asked. Soooo awkward. I've experienced better because the layout didn't seem conducive to this location either. For the size of the space, the tables were oddly placed and everyone was packed in like sardines. The people next to us were doing some ODD things and we were exceptionally close to them. While the coffee was fine, just consider getting in and out. Its the best route!

It's 40 degrees in Philadelphia. Why do you have the air conditioning on now? Is that really what Starbucks corporate wants? What a waste of energy. Not very good as a corporate citizen. Besides the fact that you guys barely recycle (correct me if I'm wrong). I guess you want to freeze us out of your location. What's up with that?

I absolutely lovee this Starbucks location because of the super friendly staff here. I love it even more now that its renovated and has more seats! This location is always quiet enough to start some work or just sit and chat with friends. It's also in a great location since there's a froyo place, pizza restaurant and whole foods right across the street!

This guys great. Always offers a smile

Slowest goddamn Starbucks on earth waited 20 min for a simple coffee and they harass you if you want to use the bathroom.

DRINKS I had their iced mocha. I liked that it wasn't too…read moresweet, but I did not enjoy the grainy texture of the chocolate. The flavor also felt off, tasting more like binding ingredients in chocolate candy rather than a actual chocolate. FOOD Located next to Machine Shop, most guests don't come here for pastries, but they do have a limited selection of donuts and croissants. SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly. It's a small storefront so the line can seem quite long, but they are efficient in filtering people through. AMBIANCE Located in the Bok Building, there's ample seating in the general seating area right by and behind the storefront. The space is shared with other guests visiting Machine Shop and the stores in Bok. I saw some people working/studying, but it can get quite busy/loud. PARKING Paid street parking is available at a limited capacity. Most people park in neighboring streets or take the bus. BATHROOMS Bathrooms are located throughout the building.

My family and I got breakfast at Enswell during our stay in Philadelphia. This swanky, hip place…read moreoffers up elevated tasty food and superb service in an exquisitely decorated, albeit small, cafe. We braved negative degree weather for the roughly 10 minute walk from our hotel. We walked in at a good time. This is the type of place where a reservation for breakfast would be required. We were sat immediately. The dining area is tight. A green velvet bench, marble tables, metal chairs, all packed into a small area. You could very well have your butt brush over the table of the patrons next to you if you have to get up for any reason. It's tight. Our server was around quickly. He was super friendly and kept things conversational, light and sophisticated. My wife ordered an iced latte, I had their hot drip coffee. For a starter, we had to try the cinnamon knot bread. While it wasn't what we were expecting, it was good. Although, we wouldn't order again. The bread is presented as a small loaf, room temperature with a cold cream cheese icing drizzled over top. The bread had a mild cinnamon flavor and was dry. It lacked the sweet, moist dough you expect from a cinnamon bread. My wife ordered the French style omelet. This had gruyere cheese and chives. Beautifully plated, perfectly cooked and the taste was spot on. It was good enough to forget that she paid $21 for just an omelet, no meat, no sides. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Pretty standard here. The eggs had bright orange yolks which is common for farm fresh eggs. The "coffee" hollandaise didn't come across with a coffee flavor but it was rich and went well with the ham and English muffins. One thing that stuck with me was their drip coffee. Not sure if it has been a while since I had a light roast but the Rival Bros. Revolver coffee was so good, I got a bag of whole beans to bring back home with me. I may even order it again online. Enswell succeeded on all fronts. The ambiance and service was great. The decor, impeccable. The food, thoughtful and tasty. The details from the silverware to the plates added to the experience. We would come back.

I thought this place was very cute. Outdoor limited seating…read moreand indoor area as well. The appeal was to get a quick read in amd have my pup with me. I felt like I ordered the wrong combination. I was able to do an egg sandwich and swap for sourdough bread vs eng muffin. Love that. Didn't love the copper sharp cheese that was a bit messy and tangy. I kept thinking they must have added some type of sauce on it. I'd much rather come back for a simple fried egg combo and chedda cheese. I was also offered sparkling water, but I do wish it had more fizz. The service start to finish was superb in friendly and fast service. I'd come back for mimosa/bar for sure.
