Check your receipts ! They charged me 11% tax on two coffee drinks and additional charge for coconut milk substitute. If there is such a thing as cup charge, that should be listed as a cup charge, not a tax. The tax rate here is 9% and they charge 11%. Even if it falls under the current state tax of 9% + 1%, that is 10%, not 11%. Hope they are sending all this tax to the state, can't be profits in their pockets. If you collect tax, you send it to the state. I asked local store, they refer you to corporate. I ask corporate and they refer you back to the store. Nobody can seem to answer this question. Not going there anymore until they get me some answers or resolve this. Update: I talked to the store manager and apparently there is a Peoria county tax of 7.25 + Peoria city tax of 1.75 which equals 9%. Then, for anything that is prepared for you, there is an extra 2% tax which then equals the 11%. Wow !!! This is absolutely crazy ! I think the only way I will get Starbucks, in Peoria county, city, is if someone gets me a gift card. LOL ! read more

The customer service is usually good. This Starbucks consistently does not provide stopper / stirrers when you order a beverage. You have to request one. Not much is worse than being burned or having coffee spill all over your car. It gets really busy at this location and it may take 15 minutes or more some mornings to complete the drive thru. read more

This is the slowest location in Peoria. I consistently order 10-15 minutes for pick up, and I still wait for 5-10 before getting my 1 drink! I have gone and walked out a few times with no drink because I have waited 5 minutes before even being able to place an order when I choose to make spontaneous trips. I notice that the workers here are chat amongst themselves and work slow vs other locations. I will no plan to go to Pioneer parkway as I can count on my drink ready in a timely manner. read more

I come here often. I don't really have any product or service complaints, but PLEASE mow your grass and cut your weeds!!!!! It is VERY unappetizing to sit in line with all the overgrown weeds ---- shows a lack of attention and makes you wonder how clean the inside is. read more

So coming from a big city like Miami, where the number of coffee shops are to numerous to undertake, I am saved by SBUX here in little Peoria. The service at this SBUX location is superb. I've never had a problem with the way my coffee, latter, or fraps are prepared. They're made to perfection in terms of taste. I've even got an underground drink, the Banana Creme Frap, going with the staff there. Everyone loves the taste of it, and I recommend you try it too! Next time you visit the popular coffee chain, be sure to order the following: Banana Creme Frap: - Vanilla Bean Frap, add - Vanilla and Hazelnut syrup, next add - A whole banana Have them blend the mix and top it off with whipped cream and violà! I signed up for starbucks rewards to help mitigate the outrageously high prices. I received a coupon for buy a holiday beverage, get a holiday bakery item for free. I ordered a gingerbread latte and gingerbread loaf. They said they're out of gingerbread loaf. I asked if they would substitute pumpkin bread. She said no. Come on! Drove through the drive thru the other day and waited about 25 minutes for my drink. No problem-I wasn't in a hurry and it was lunch time so they were pretty busy. Decided that I wanted to pay for the lady that was behind me in line. The guy at the drive thru window made me feel really uncomfortable about it. "No you don't need to do that." And then I said, "I know but I want to." He responded with, "Are you sure? It's not necessary." I persisted and he finally gave me the card reader. He made me feel like a nuisance for wanting to do something nice for someone else. I drove away at least feeling good that I had done something nice for someone else only to find out that he didn't actually run my card, it's been 2 days and the charge still hasn't shown up on my account. I love Starbucks! Okay, I know it's a chain and I do prefer The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, but I live in a mid-size town in the Midwest. I don't have a plethora of coffee shops to pick from, ESPECIALLY drive thru coffee shops. This is one big reason I love Starbucks-I can go through the drive thru, on my way to work, on my way home, whenever! I do like their earl grey tea latte, vanilla latte, caramel machiato, & light iced coffee blended drinks in the summer. Their iced green tea is also good. So, yes, I love Starbucks, but if more coffee shops had drive thrus...I'd have to see which one had better drinks..and then go there. read more

The rudest staff I've ever encountered at a Starbucks. Stood at the counter while not one of the five baristas behind the counter greeted me. After a few minutes someone finally sauntered up to take my order. Asked for a receipt, she handed it to me, turned around and walked away without a word. There was a very rude worker and I asked for a venti but she gave me a tall and I asked for her to make me another one and she rolled her eyes and said I'm tired do I really have to make you another one and I said yes please and she did it wrong again. I asked for no coffee and she gave me a coffee frappuccinoI asked for a Pumpkin Spice Creme Frappuccino. We waited about 20 minutes to get this one drink. Terrible. Worst experience ever! I'm a pretty patient person, however Starbucks triggered all of my external switches today. My son and I literally waited over 30 minutes for 2 drinks, 1 cookie in which we requested them to warm and 1 slice of lemon loaf. First off, they heated the cookie and gave my son the lemon loaf. Then 10 minutes later after I asked why we were waiting so long, I finally receive a response that a new batch of tea was being made, and why wasn't I notified? I remained patient. I told my son I would wait in the car and when my name is called, retrieve the food items and come to the car. I then proceed to the car, lost track of time listening to club house in the car, and 10 minutes I walk in and drinks were sitting on the counter. After talking to my son, I asked why wasn't my name called for the second drink (just sitting) and the worker replied that he didn't see us sitting there. No one else was in the darn store , really! How rude! I was so disgusted. After discussion with the worker, he just responded rudely while my son had to watch this worker reply as though he didn't see my son sitting in front of him in the store,. And no , he didn't call my name for the second drink.; I felt so disrespected and in the meantime my son is standing there holding his cold a** cookie! They didn't even ask to reheat the darn thing! She is always positive, she always gives me amazing customer service, and she is so personable! Next time you go to this location, ask for her! Pretty standard Midwest 'bucks. Had a drive-thru which was perfect since this was our stopping point on our road trip to Iowa. I can't speak to the noise inside. Drive-thru was quick and the staff was pleasant. My drink was the standard Starbucks I'm accustomed to here. No complaints from this girl! Also, this was a while back and it was before the Indianapolis stores got the La Boulange products in their stores, so the fact that I could try out a new goodie made the fact that I still had hours left in the car. read more

It's a Starbucks much like any other Starbucks. For me the location is very convenient. They have a drive through window, indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are friendly without being annoying. The floor space is a little slanted towards the merchandise instead of seating, but that is understandable given the location and clientle. read more
