Review Visit: June 6th, 2016 If you visit the blog often, you will notice my trend for visiting coffeehouses and see that I tend to order Iced Caramel Lattes at most places. Black Maple was no different. A perfect blend of milk, espresso and caramel made this one place I would love to re-visit. It would've scored a perfect 5, but they are a walk-up/drive-thru only, so if it was a rainy day, it could possibly affect trying to get something from there. Also, they could've used some benches outside, but since it is located in the parking lot of a hotel, they are doing great with what they have. We were really excited to try this place but very unimpressed. They didnt have anywhere hardly to sit inside. When we ordered we asked how sweet drinks were and were told they weren't sweet. My husband ordered a vanilla latte which had hardly any flavor (including coffee flavor). I ordered a caramel macchiato which was SO sweet. We also ordered a bfest croissant. The croissant was panini style so smooshed and burnt. Sorry to say we will not be back. Hope others have a better experience then we did. read more

Wonderful place to grab a sandwich and a coffee! I got a bagel sandwich and a cappuccino and both are great. Coffee is high quality which I was not expecting in such a small town. Small town prices and great quality! This is mainly a drive through with a walk in option but no real seating. We are in from out of town and were able to snag the two chairs in the lobby. Service is personable and efficient. Would highly recommend!!! read more

We had hazelnut caramel lattes. They were how a latte should be made. The hazelnut was not too dominant-it complemented the espresso. The caramel gave a nice sweet back note. The service was friendly. This is the kind of place downtown Havana needs. We will be back the next time we visit. read more

Finally! Coffee I can afford that doesn't cut corners!!! Amazing!!! Great service, THE BEST PRICES, delicious food, and PLENTY of options!!! The barista I talked to was a girl with a nose ring and she was very helpful and nice! I had a decaf 12oz oat milk sugar cookie latte! Delicious!!! Also they have super fun syrups that I've never seen at other shops! Adorable Christmas cups, nice touch. They put the thought in where others don't. What a pleasant surprise and addition to the town of Lewistown. A brand new hotel with very well thought out rooms. In addition, they have the cutest coffee shop that serves breakfast. Yet another awesome local business in Canton. This is actually a drive up coffee shop/bakery located perfectly on your way out of town. I cannot comment on much on the menu, but the povitica is bomb...yes I just said bomb. If you didn't know, this is a Croatian, rolled bread with cinnamon and walnuts...just a nugget of awesome. If you have ever gotten this bread from the bakery in Manito, this is the same family recipe!!! O how I have missed it. I have already mentioned to the owner I hope to see their cream cheese versions on the menu soon. Over all just a sweet little place to drive thru and get a quick, very affordable breakfast/lunch and coffee!!! read more

This place is an excellent, unique find! Their signature black maple lattes have a different and unique flavor. Additionally, their prices are extremely reasonable! A large latte is ONLY $3.75. The best coffee in Canton!! I love Black Maple! My favorites are the white chocolate mocha (if I'm going for a warm drink) or the cookie dough (for something cold). Everything here is good! Black maple is ok I guess, the food is pretty good and there latés are delicious but the problem is that the place is not inspected.The owner knows the health inspector so they don't inspect it.The floor in there is rotting and there's a hole in the floor and the worst part is that they keep there plates and cups in the bathroom. read more

I really value that this restaurant has some unique items and flavors. It's really a diamond in the rough if you're a foodie like me. My biggest pet peeve about Canton, IL (my hometown) is the total lack of high-end food and unique tastes. This locally-owned restaurant is at a peak level in terms of food and service. I currently live in Milwaukee, a city filled with fabulous and unique tastes at every corner. This is one of only a few restaurants in Canton that I think can contend with forward-thinking, big city food. Every time I visit I make sure to stop by and try something new. read more

Black Maple makes amazing lattes! They also have melt-in-your-mouth treats called Cinni bits. The only problem with them is it's impossible to eat just one. They are SO DELICIOUS! They are super friendly. They have a latte called appropriately "the black maple". The recipe is a secret but they will make it as sugar-free as possible if you ask. My wife got me an Apple Pie drink with whipped cream at the new location in the Graham Clinic building. It was TOTALLY AWESOME!!!! This is just what Canton has needed for a very long time. We've had a couple of coffee shops over time but nothing like Black Maple! Drinks are pretty cheap and made well. They have pretty long hours so you can easily catch them. Only wish the place were bigger so they could do more volume. We find ourselves waiting in a big line of cars on the weekends. read more

Called in an order, when I picked it up they served it to the vehicle in front of mine. The people paid and started to leave but then handed it back. When I got to the window they then served it to me. One of the straws was opened and the carrier had a hair on it. I'm pretty sure health dept regulations do not allow items to be served twice! Employees were very defensive and we got no apology. Love their coffee but have to say it's my last visit there! read more
