All I can say is OMG! This place is absolutely amazing. From the decor, to the wait staff, to the outstanding food. It is just top notch! Not what you would expect in a little place nestled in Canton. My husband and I were left stunned at the quality and taste of the food. It was just extraordinary. Truly some of the best food we have eaten in a very long time. We tried the Heavenly French Toast and it really is heavenly, not just a cute title. Cheesecake STUFFED HOMEMADE BREAD! Need I say more? but they don't just stop there! it is topped with a mound of thinly sliced braised apples cooked with delicious crispy bacon. Then swimming in maple syrup. Truly a feast for the angels! My hubby chose Jessica's Bowl.. Wow this thing is massive and packed with everything you could ever want for breakfast! Fluffy buttery biscuits devoured by flavor packed sausage gravy, fried potatoes, eggs anyway you wanted, he did overeasy. ( made to perfection) loads of melty cheese, then to throw, this thing into the stratosphere, they topped it with fried chicken!!! What?! Yes delectable fried chicken. We never had to wait for drink refills cause they incredibly friendly and diligent wait staff too care of us! and it was packed when we got there! At the front they also had homemade breads and goodies. Including some yummy cookies. We choose a cowboy cookie and a strawberry lemonade. They were just as delicious. They soft flavor packed lemonade cookies was melt I you mouth. The cowboy was jam packed with mix ins! Cash only business but they have a convenient ATM. A breakfast counter, outdoor seating and a dining room is available as well. I give this business the highest praise! Will definitely be back! read more

The hubby was looking for a place to grab breakfast by our summer place at the Giant Goose Ranch. This is a mom and pop restaurant in a small town. Very SMALL. However, the prices were dirt cheap!!! The place was cute and cozy. The service was excellent. The food was DELICIOUS and MORE than plentiful. For all the food we got plus drinks, we only paid $17. We will definitely be stopping by here when in town. read more

Fun Fact: 3 out of 4 grandmothers prefer Don and Nancy's to their own cooking. Seriously though, I met these nice ladies (picture is attached) the day I posted this review, and found they are monthly regulars. As for myself and my family, you'd be hard pressed to not find us there in whole or in part at least once a week. Daily specials lead to extraordinary combination, and the regular menu has some of the best breakfast food you'll ever have in a commercial kitchen. Just be prepared to wait sometimes, because most likely, you won't be the only family craving Jesse's cooking. Liz will be sure to greet you with her positive attitude and welcoming personality and smile. A shout out to the rest of the help, in and outside of the kitchen as well. We've been wanting to try this for a while. Their hours are slim. The dining room is long and has no windows and they have a grill bar thing. Their hours are 7 am-2 and a few days 6 am-1. So go early. Their horseshoe cheese is a beer cheese which I wasn't expecting. I figured they'd have diner food with like nacho cheese. My husband said the cowboy burger was possibly the best he'd ever had. read more

Had a lovely breakfast here. Outstanding diner-like menu; breakfast and lunch, just enough great choices. Anyone as old as I am will know the space was occupied for decades by Brown's Cafe. The homemade bread is to die for. Didn't get to try the biscuits but they sounded delicious. Hubby could barely eat half his bananas foster pancakes. We started with the cinnamon roll which in itself would have been enough. Delicious! Besides the glaze there's a brown-sugary topping. . . ahhh. My 2 egg omelet with pepper jack, onion & peppers was way more than I could eat, accompanied by 2 thick slices of honey wheat toast and two patties of real sausage. Service was impeccable. I bet I had 4 cups of coffee! Not real busy at 10:30 on a weekday. If you get a chance to visit, be hungry. Google their menu (not as detailed as in reality) and see if you don't drool. read more

Don and Nancy's is different from every restaurant in the town of Canton. The vibe when you walk into the heavy wooden swing door can only be described as familiar. You look around at the other people eating, some wave, some greet themselves; it just feels like you walked into a joint you've been going to for years. The inside is small, but not cramped. a walkway with a wall on one side and a bar on the other. Behind the bar is in house baked goods like Loaves of bread, pie, cinnamon rolls, and much more. Above that is kind of a "Pseudo-menu" if you will. Black chalk paint with the names of certain menu items, with nice illustrations that I can only assume were made by the owner, or workers themselves. Some personalized by name, giving it a family feel without being in your face. In the back there is a more "Sit-down table" area which, though I've been back there once, was decent enough. (I prefer the bar) There are 2 menus. You either get their breakfast which balances between simple and fusion. Simple being stuff like the Farmer's breakfast, which comes with 2 eggs, 2 sausage patties, 2 pieces of French toast or pancakes, and hash browns (You can substitute the hash browns for "potato cakes"... If I were you, jump on that opportunity). The more "Fusion" aspect being, the Brisket Skillet. In town, there are a few breakfast spots and all of them serve skillets the same, except here. Its not drenched in gravy. Its not an unrecognizable pile of food, its well made. You can barely see the guy cooking around the corner, and he's putting his heart into it, making all the food look great and well balanced. The Brisket Skillet is eggs, Brisket, Onions, some greens, and hash browns. If you get it with a cup of gravy its good, but its definitely not needed. The food leaves you filled up with energy instead of slogged and tired. I get what's coming next. "Matt, this all sounds nice, but what did it cost you? WE WANT TO KNOW THE PRICES!!!". Well, The good sized Farmer's breakfast ran me a little under 13-15 bucks depending on the drink I got (I got orange juice once and it was more, but I prefer the coffee cause I'm a tired bag of skin in the morning). So it was less than a McDonalds run, and a billion times better. I'm going back about 1-2 times a week. Its a must stop if you're in town and its positioning right next to the biggest hotel in town is perfect. Oh my goodness. What a wonderful cafe. After visiting the reindeer farm we wanted something to eat. Don and Nancy's was the perfect place. The hot chocolate hit the spot. The staff was very friendly, the food was delightful and the price was cheap. Well worth the drive. Plus we indulged ourselves with delightful baked goods. The place was remodeled very nice. Service was great. Food was very good. Coffee was 5 stars, but fried potatoes were off a tad. Why no hash browns? Also most breakfast dishes were combos, and they had two kinds of hash but no corned beef hash. Restaurant was very clean and they were swamped this morning. Watched segment on channel 25 "you gotta eat" 16 July 2020 and looks as if servers are also serving up possible covid 19 with improper mask wearing over mouth only.Also cashier had no mask at all and served something on plate as customer paid. read more

When we started to order about 11 on Sunday, we were told they had stopped serving breakfast. No notice on the menu of that. So we ordered sandwiches. They were served with no garnish...pickle, chips, nothing. We went to the front to pay and waited 10 minutes or so for someone to take our money. Won't rush back but will give them a second chance. read more
