They helped me with what to get and the amount of kindness I received was so overwhelming that I ended up bursting into tears after I left (good tears). I'm currently going through a rough time with my health and I think I didn't realize how much I needed some kindness from a stranger. Thank you so much for being so nice, it was greatly appreciated more than you will ever know.

Seriously disappointing. The staff was friendly enough but super concerned about their personal conversation and not me or the customer behind me. I decided on the Milky Way Mocha which is a standard mocha but with caramel. This honestly tasted like a bad cup of hot chocolate. It literally was straight sugar, I couldn't taste coffee/espresso at all. I ended up throwing half of it out. I also got a slice of lemon poppyseed bread that initially looked like it might've been made in house but after unwrapping it, it seemed more like it came in a loaf from Sam's Club or Costco and was sliced and wrapped in plastic wrap. All that for $9 was not what I would call a great start to my day.

I was smiling before ordering because of the picture in the bathroom! Very small amount of seats (probably 20 at most) and only 2 people working which was all they needed. The baristas were friendly and knowledgable! I needed a nap, so I did NOT go with a cold brew! They had big dispensers of 4 different kinds of coffee, and there decaf house blend was ok. They do have an option to get an iced coffee with frozen coffee cubes in it which is something I love! My small complaint is that back in the hall of the bathroom you could see an open closet with all the cleaning supplies in it. Not the most appetizing thing. They did have a bunch of options of food available, but also were not fresh and wrapped in plastic wrap. I did see a burrito made fresh which was huge and looked good, but not a fan of just a random open closet. Overall if you want a quiet place with friendly staff and a wide array of choices to taste some stuff this is a great place to go. Nothing significant to separate it and get 5 stars, a couple of small things, but for a local coffee shop def worth a visit!! Well done Cal Java!!

I just wish the process for handing out the "free" giveaway items was managed a bit better. I completely understand the whole "first come, no guarantees" policy, but it's frustrating to wait in a car line for over an hour -- especially after staff has already come through to take orders and payments -- only to be told the giveaways are gone once you're finally near the front. It seems like it would make more sense to hand out the freebies at the same time orders are taken, rather than prioritizing the walk-up line. Most of us were clearly there for the promotion, and many of us ordered multiple drinks while waiting. A little more consistency in how the items are distributed would go a long way.

A True Diamond in the Rough!…read more My wife, Jennifer, and I had the pleasure of attending my best friend's wedding and celebrating with him and his beautiful wife in Chico on Saturday. On our drive home Sunday morning, we decided to make a stop in Oroville and try Big Foot Eats. What a fantastic decision! From the moment we walked through the front door, we were warmly greeted and shown to a comfortable booth. The restaurant is spacious, exceptionally clean, and has a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. Then we met Elena, our server--and what a gem she is! Elena was attentive, friendly, genuinely kind, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Since it was our first visit, we asked her about some of their most popular breakfast and lunch dishes. She patiently walked us through the options, and she certainly knew how to make a recommendation! She sold me on the Idaho Omelette--and I'm so glad she did. This delicious creation was packed with bacon, onions, and Cheddar Jack cheese, stuffed with crispy tater tots, drizzled with sour cream, and topped with green onions. Talk about comfort food taken to another level! Jennifer went with the Western Burger, featuring a perfectly cooked beef patty, bacon, American cheese, Bigfoot onions, and a delicious BBQ drizzle. "Scrumdidlieumptious!" is about all we could muster as our taste buds were doing backflips! Every bite of Jennifer's burger was outstanding. The ingredients were top-notch, everything was cooked to perfection, and the combination of flavors was fantastic. My Idaho Omelette was every bit as delicious and satisfying. But what made our experience even more special was Elena herself. She wasn't simply our server--she was a true ambassador for Big Foot Eats. Her warmth and genuine hospitality made us feel like we were visiting an old friend rather than simply stopping in for a meal. We also learned that Elena and her mother run the restaurant together, which made our experience feel even more personal. And, as is so often the case, my wife chose the right place! The food, the hospitality, the atmosphere, and the pride behind Big Foot Eats all came together to create a wonderful experience. I have a feeling the Oroville community already knows what a special place this is, but for those who don't: Big Foot Eats is truly a Diamond in the Rough! It was the perfect way to cap off an already beautiful wedding weekend. Sometimes things just seem to fall into place--and stopping at Big Foot Eats was one of those moments. Thank you again, Elena, for making our visit so enjoyable. We appreciate your kindness and wonderful service, and we will definitely be back! With appreciation, Rob & Jennifer

Our server came right away and took our drink orders, then our food orders shortly after. The menu has a ton of variety and options! I wish they served breakfast all day though, because those breakfast options looked delicious! I ended up ordering an iced banana latte (delicious) and the Loaded Mac and Cheese. The flavors of the meal were delicious! I loved the pulled pork, fried onions and bbq sauce toppings but the dish was a bit of a let down because the Mac and cheese was cold under the toppings. It took awhile for our food to come out so I didn't feel like returning it, but I was a little disappointed. The portion sizes on every meal that our table ordered was huge, I don't think anyone finished their meal so keep in mind you could share and still have plenty! I would not hesitate to visit Bigfoot Eats again, despite my cold noodles, because there's a lot on the menu I'd love to try!

The first two times I tried to find it, I somehow got lost -- so on the third attempt, I made it my mission. And it was absolutely worth it. There's something so refreshing about the slow pace, the calm atmosphere, and the polite, mature customer service. You don't feel rushed. You feel welcomed. And the cinnamon rolls? Truly to die for. Warm, soft, perfectly sweet -- the kind that make you close your eyes on the first bite. The old-fashioned American decor only adds to the charm. It feels cozy, and genuine in a way that's hard to find these days. I'm already looking forward to going back and bringing family and friends to share the experience.
