Met my parents a month ago at this Starbucks. The employees were not friendly. The drink I normally get was horrible. Told myself I'd never go to this one again but today I was driving by and convinced myself that maybe it would be better. Employees still rude and act like you're putting them out. The drink tasted like watered down coffee. I was on my way to Gridley to meet my sister in law. We went over to that Starbucks and the girl at the drive thru was very nice and made me the drink I like complimentary and it was perfect and she was very nice and accommodating. Worst Starbucks ever!! I've tried this location too many times and every time they disappoint. They get my drink wrong every time (it's just an oatmilk latte) and they always give me regular milk which I'm allergic to. Today was my final straw. I decided to go in instead of wait in the drive thru line and that was a huge mistake!! waited 15min and they still hadn't made my latte. Girl said she was going to make it now..didn't make it. I said I have to go and they gave me 2 $4 cards to use later. And then i said can't someone make it real fast? i was told no but if you want to come back later we'll make it for free. No thanks!! There had to be 6-7 girls working and they all cant figure it out?? At least 2 other patrons had to ask for their drinks, too. Drive thru customers aren't more important than in store patrons!! We're ALL important!! Never ever ever again. As a matter of fact, there are plenty of individually owned coffee shops around..I'll be happy to give them my money instead of this corporate junk of a brand. read more

This is my third visit to this Starbucks since 2017. It's still at least a four-star experience. It's large with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are friendly, baked goods or fresh, and coffee tasted great. Parking is convenient. Location is walking distance to Holiday inn hotel. This Starbucks is well kept up. I was out in Oroville visiting relatives for Thanksgiving Day and since Dutch Bros closed by 2pm I decided to get me Starbucks. As I walked in we were greeted by the cashier and the whole experience went smoothly no issues at all. When was all set and done we were in n out within 3-4 min... I ordered a small matcha latte with extra stuff in it and a ham and Swiss croissant. The total said $14 and some cents on the drive thru screen. When I got to the window, they said my total was $17.30. They added extra things to my order that I did not ask for. I was very annoyed and to top it all off, my matcha latte is very watered down and has no matcha taste to it. I do not recommend. read more

After my 12 hour shift I was looking forward to grabbing a Medicine Ball which is a good pick me up after a long day at work. I pulled up to the drive thru and ordered a grande medicine ball. I got up to the window and the employee was handing me two packages of tea- mind you I was very confused. I said I didn't want the tea bags- the employee states they don't make the tea due to covid. Umm okay why couldn't you tell me while I was ordering and clearly stated I wanted a grande cup of the medicine ball?! She didn't even offer warm water with it or to place another order. So I said well I'd like to order a different drink which was the tall hot white mocha. The drink they whipped up tasted horrible and was made up of whip cream not even coffee. Drive thru service is great. No line when I went a couple weeks ago. The speaker thing was broken so they had an employee at the drive thru taking orders like at In n Out. I had a large complicated order (such a Karen move ). But the employee taking the order was very patient, helpful, and got the crazy orders right. Went to the drive thru again on 3/4/21. No line again! The employee working the drive thru was also very pleasant and helpful. Think her name was Michelle, not sure. I didn't realize how much I liked Starbucks until we got one. From breakfast sandwiches to coffee to scones it's all amazing. I love the Thai chicken wrap. It's delicious. I also like to just get a black tea on occasion. Store is clean, employees quick and friendly. Drive thru is fast. The video picture of the person taking your order is kinda creepy. The fact that it shares a parking lot with Panda and you can't turn left out of driveway sucks, but don't let this stop you. Their coffee is way better then Dutch Bros and they have so much more to offer. This was just what Oroville needed for coffee lovers and those wanting a healthier drive through option for snacks and meals. read more

I ordered a drink at 1:50 and didn't get my drink till 2:10 and about 10 minutes into waiting I asked the two people standing at a espresso machine if someone else got my drink they assured me it was being made right now. Another 10 minutes later I asked again and 1 guy was trying to help resolve my missing drink and a was rolling her eyes at me. 1 guy just acted like waiting 20 minutes is normal. We are a local dog training company. Many of our dogs come from areas outside of Oroville for our board and train program. One thing we like to do is work with dogs in dog friendly outdoor dining establishments. This is an area Oroville lacks GREATLY in forcing us to drive 30 minutes to work on this type of training however Starbucks is a great option! we utilize it often in our training and the staff couldn't be nicer. read more

I am a Five year barista and shift supervisor, working on my sixth year. Iam in town for a death in my family and I wanted to raise the spirits of family by getting them some drinks. Though the staff was very kind, what I did not appreciate was not one, not two not even three but all five of my drinks were made incorrectly. Two of them didn't even have coffee. I could tell the staff were stressed so I didn't want to make a scene to have them all remade but as a long time barista and trainer drink quality must be better. This Valentines Day, I had a coupon for buy one drink size grande or larger, get one free. Well I ordered two drinks, one white chocolate mocha and one caramel macchiato. They were both size grande, BUT.. the white mocha was no joke.. HALFWAY full!!!!! The caramel macchiato on the other hand was completely full, but was terribly burnt and had a very nasty and unpleasant, undrinkable taste. Not to mention the woman working the drive thru window didn't hear me say I have a coupon and charged the full $12 to my card on the Starbucks app, making me have to wait in line for 5 more minutes to undo what was done. Gave it a second try the next day, got another white mocha and this time added banana bread and asked for it to be warmed.. and was handed to me cold. Even before the COVID situation, this location was subpar. Now it's magnified. The drinks are always inconsistent and it's just frustrating to pay for drinks made wrong all the time. A few days ago, I was stuck in the drive thru for 40 minutes, so even if I wanted to get the drink I waited for fixed, I don't have an hour to spend for something that is supposed to be quick. I've been here several times and every time the drinks always taste off, not enough flavor. This last time we went our mochas were only 75% full so we had to go back to get them fixed, which took them 35+ minutes to remake. We had already sat in the drive thru for that long before the remake. Regardless to say, over an hour wait for sub-par drinks is frustrating. We are from chico and I would recomend stopping at any one we have before the one in Oroville. The cashier had no clue what she was doing. Have personally witnessed the manager Kari Wallace belittle employees during what is supposed to be "employee appreciation week" and treat homeless people as tho they are trash, one instance she was seen throwing away a persons sleeping bag and clothes, the very basic items every human needs. This company is supposed to be about making personal connections with the customers making everyone feel valued and respected, with Kari that is not case. Honestly very sad to see someone this inconsiderate running the store. Just a little baffling. Made a mobile order, redeemed my stars on a breakfast sandwich. Coffee was completely wrong and missing both stevia and vanilla, and I waited ten to fifteen minutes for my breakfast sandwich which the employee stuffed in a microwave once I bothered to say something about it. Handed me a sandwich with super hot edges and frozen egg in the middle. Kind of defeats the convenience of mobile ordering if you don't receive your items after about 20 minutes since placing the order and you go through the effort to specify your drink order only to have it wrong and inedible. For Starbucks, go to the Chico locations. If you're in Oroville, wait in line at Dutch Bros. It takes the same amount of time (even though it shouldn't!) but you can actually get what you order. read more
