I used to be a Starbucks regular but I haven't been in a while. I ordered a sugar free White…read moreChocolate Mocha and was told they couldn't make it sugar free. They now only have sugar free vanilla and caramel syrups. I asked the barista if he could just make me a hot sugar free drink that would taste good. He froze! He said that was way too much pressure. He said they could make a sugar free Blonde Vanilla Latte that tasted ok. His words not mine. I agreed to try it and ordered a decaf coffee for my Mom. He looked around and said they didn't have decaf. Ok. We ordered a Crispy Grilled Cheese on Sourdough to split. We grabbed a seat in the corner but quickly moved bc the speaker was right above us and we couldn't hear each other. We moved to a table by the window but when we sat down the table teetered back and forth. I have no idea how it was still standing! There's no way we could put food and hot drinks on it! We finally had to move to the large bar in the center. Our orders came out in a timely manner. The signage did not warn us that the sandwich would be full of garlic (which my Mom can't eat)! So that was a waste. I took a sip of my drink and turned up my nose. It tasted like slightly milky hot water. My Mom said her coffee was the worst she has tasted in years. We ended up trashing most of our order and agreeing never to return.

The line of vehicles in the drive through lane extended well off property into the public street. That being said, the SB employees handled the crowd admirably. It also helped that I had patient people in my car. I'd return here again, as I sometimes find myself in this area of metropolitan Memphis.

I tried this independent coffee shop for the first time and found my nirvana (apologies to Kurt…read moreCobain). The vibe inside of the cafe is soothing, and they ably made a blonde cortado for me. They also made me a homemade egg, cheese, and sausage croissant for me. Both were quite delicious. As a nice bonus, they offer a customer loyalty program. This was my first visit to the Silo Square area, and given how nice my experience was, I plan on returning.

Daaaaaang!!! Why you so pricy, Beans and Leaves? Ouch. More like ya beans be leaving ya. Okay I got…read morea medium fancy latte beverage. That medium drink was $7.85!!! Buuuut okay I got a latte and got it with oat milk. So let's be reasonable and talk about a basic black coffee. Okay okay that'll be reasonable, right? Wellllll, a medium decaf black coffee was $4.35. Wait, what? Okay well surely just a simple hot chocolate is reasonable? A large hot chocolate with almond milk gonna run ya $5.75!!! Get outta here!! You add in a muffin, a scone, and a cinnanin twist (all of which are tiny) and you're looking down at a bill of $37! That is crazy. Is it good? Yeah. Definitely. It's a very nice, cozy, local joint. We like it here. A lot. But we ain't coming more than once a year at these prices. I recommend you try the place as long as you understand what you're getting into from a price standpoint. But the drinks and pasties are good.

Always excited when I find a place near me that has them. I was not familiar with the donuts, but I'm so glad I got to try one. Will definitely be back to try more flavors. I ended up getting an original half/half hot dog and a funnel cake donut. Both were delicious! Didn't get to try a drink this time, but I'll be sure to try one next visit. They have plenty of options. The staff was friendly and helpful. Service was pretty quick as well. Great experience overall.

We had some green teas (a pineapple, a strawberry, and a passion fruit). You can ask them to make it regular, half, or no sweet. Passion fruit was 1/2 sweet, other two were regular but even the regular weren't overly sweet which I liked. I was expecting them to be just absolute "diabeee" teas but nope not at all. We also got 3 mochi donuts. I'm not really a donut guy but these were good. Different from "American" donuts, the dough itself really wasn't very sweet at all. All in all it was pretty good I'd like to go again to try a Korean hot dog. It was pretty pricey, almost 30 bucks for the 3 drinks and 3 donuts.
