I absolutely hate this Starbucks. We have no choice in Oakwood so we are held hostage by this nonsense. It doesn't matter whether you order ahead on the mobile app or go inside the restaurant, be ready to spend 20 to 30 minutes to get your coffee. It's really an event and it sucks. Today I ordered ahead thinking that it's kind of an off hour so I should be able to zip in and zip out. Yeah, what a joke. Here's my view (it's always like this). Update: 12/7/21 Rainy day, wanted to grab a "quick" espresso at a non-busy hour. Good luck with that, yet again. If you're going to stick this bad, at least lower your prices or give a size upgrade. Something! Instead we get restrictions on when we can redeem our birthday drinks and how any "free" drink really only cover the basic now. Stopped over here twice this weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and the service was very consistent. Honestly, I rarely ever rate Starbucks anything above three stars, but the staff here was very friendly. On Saturday when I ordered a coffee I needed some cream, one of the gentlemen inside standing by the drive thru came up to me and switched out the empty creamer and handed me a freshly filled one. On Sunday, even though the barista was very busy, she saw me standing by the pickup and asked if I needed anything and kindly gave me a cup of water and a straw. I see this place has some poor reviews, but I have to stay that my personal experience is very, very different with this location. I've never had anything but good experiences here. The employees have ALWAYS gotten my order right, and they usually go above and beyond to keep people happy. Today I used Uber Eats to order an iced blonde latte and a panini sandwich and they actually included an ice water that I didn't even ask for, which was VERY welcome with my sandwich. The site says they are open at 530. We sat in the drive thru starting at 540 and pulled away at 553 because literally no one was taking an order. I called the store and there was no answer. At least 10 other cars stopped and left due to this. If you aren't going to open until 6, then post the correct time. read more

When I walked into the establishment, I had to wait 5 minutes before someone served me and let me just say that there was no line. I think the new cashier just got there but there were two other employees who were just chilling around, waiting for one another to serve me. Unacceptable. I ordered a soy latte and that was made promptly but the soy milk was not steamed correctly. (I worked for Starbucks for 3 year during my undergrad, so I know how it should look and taste like). I feel like the way the tables and chairs are set up close to the cashier and waiting area could be hazardous, if they do get busy. I sat at one of the window seats and at one point during my 3 hour visit, I couldn't get out of my seat because there was a man who directly sat behind me, blocking me from getting out. I also recommend that there should be more plugs available for those who want to stay and work there. Near the window, there was only one giant extension cord, which could be a problem and an inconvenience if more than a few people decide to work there. Mostly wooden tables and chairs, so I guess Starbucks is leaning towards a rustic feel and not comfortable seating. Also, Before I sat down, I had to clean the counter tops near the window because there were crumbs everywhere. That could be a problem on staff's attentiveness. Overall, would I come here again? Yeah, if I happen to be in the area and is in a dire need of coffee. I personally prefer the one in dawsonville a lot more. read more

Baristas are always super nice, super efficient, and they keep their location super clean. My favorite Starbucks from all five locations near me, love coming here, so I'm kind of confused as to why they've gotten bad reviews lol. It's a restaurant they're not perfect and they can't control things such as waiting times or getting your drink correct 100% of the time. I don't know what it is about this Starbucks. This store has to be costing the company money. My wife and I stop at this store on our way to North Carolina each weekend. For the 3rd time in 4 weeks they get our order wrong. It's not hard, just a mocha frappe with sugar free syrup and no whip cream. The first time we waited forever in the drive thru and the store was not even busy. The second time my order was wrong. This time we checked before we left the drive thru and yes, the order was wrong. They were nice about it and had us park in front while they redid the order. The two stars is for the inconvenience. Very clean store, very friendly staff... I think they grow and harvest the beans for each individual drink though, because it takes absolutely forever. I go to this location several times a week to get my fav drink and do some homework! Today I was studying and left my (rented) textbook there around 10am. Then around 6pm I realize I can not find it so I call (they were very busy when I called) and explain to Caleb what I did and he takes the time to go and locate my book and bring it up front for me to come pick up. I know what it's like to be busy at work like that so I really appreciated him taking the time to go locate my book for me. read more
