I frequently work remotely from Starbucks locations all across North Atlanta due to my job requiring me to be on the road most days. I typically buy drinks and spend hours working from different stores throughout the week, and I've never had an experience like this before. Today, after sitting quietly in the lobby for about 1 hour and 10 minutes -- taking up a single seat in a nearly empty store with plenty of open seating -- an employee awkwardly approached me and said I would need to leave if I didn't purchase something. I politely responded, "Okay, I'll just leave then." As I was walking out, I calmly asked who instructed her to say that. Another employee, crouched behind the counter, responded, "It's company policy." When I asked for her name, she identified herself as Alexa, the store manager. What stood out most was not the policy itself, but the complete lack of hospitality. At many other Starbucks locations, employees have approached customers working in-store simply to ask if they needed anything, offer assistance, or recommend a drink or food item. That approach feels welcoming and customer-focused. This location took the opposite approach: buy something immediately or leave. Very disappointing experience, especially from a brand that has long marketed itself as a comfortable "third place" for people to work, meet, and spend time. read more

Line up this morning for the Bearista Cup. They open at 5 am and me and my daughter arrived at 3:30 am. There were already 8 people in line. We notice around 4:45 am people lining up to drive thru ( 3-4 cars ) mind u our line by that time Was long but doors open and everything seen organized we walk in and the manager let us know Is 2 per customer. They had plenty then we notice they started giving them out to the people at drive thru that had literally only came in 30 min before opening. After the two people in-front of the line got their cups. We were told they were sold out. They gave out 8 cups through drive thru meanwhile us that had been waiting since 3:30 am didn't get any. The person in-front of me had been there since 2:30 am and the ones before him since midnight. I let the employees know it was not fair they did that and they said they were only told two per person n nothing else. We all knew the rules and I mean it was common sense. Not a coffee drinker, but had a gift card to use. Stopped for breakfast and ordered through the app. My ham cheese croissant, sausage egg muffin, and iced tea were all ready when promised. Had some time to kill, so I camped out with laptop for a while. They had wifi and power outlets along with seats which was nice. read more

The customer service at this location is a hit or miss but more of a miss. The drinks are not made to Starbucks standards. This location is the only one near me and it sucks. Their wait time in the drive thru is also ridiculous. Just overall complete dissatisfaction with this location. Lastly, don't ask for extra inclusions in your drink because they won't add it. read more

I called to edit my Uber order which I completely would've understood if they were like hey, we can't edit it. We're so sorry, but the person that picked up quite literally gaslighted me that they have never in their life lines the cup with white mocha like I literally have had that done multiple times before what do you mean you're gonna gaslight me that you've never Lined a cup with white mocha before? They said they only do it with mocha and caramel and that's just so not true. I don't know. Customer service was absolutely a 0. The only reason why I'm giving it three is because I like the product itself but then again I'm sure she gave me a shitty product because I had the audacity to call and request since I PAID in the app for mocha to line the cup for her to substitute with white mocha, she also said that nobody ever puts sweet cream in protein, coffee and just overall was so rude like what is with their attitude over here. Now I have had other associates be really sweet or I think they're called barista technically but like the manager that answered the phone oh my God, the nerve. read more

I absolutely hate this Starbucks. We have no choice in Oakwood so we are held hostage by this nonsense. It doesn't matter whether you order ahead on the mobile app or go inside the restaurant, be ready to spend 20 to 30 minutes to get your coffee. It's really an event and it sucks. Today I ordered ahead thinking that it's kind of an off hour so I should be able to zip in and zip out. Yeah, what a joke. Here's my view (it's always like this). Update: 12/7/21 Rainy day, wanted to grab a "quick" espresso at a non-busy hour. Good luck with that, yet again. If you're going to stick this bad, at least lower your prices or give a size upgrade. Something! Instead we get restrictions on when we can redeem our birthday drinks and how any "free" drink really only cover the basic now. It's not the workers fault: Logan, Noah, Evie (amazing but no longer there:'( ) really do try but there's only so much they can do. I don't know what to say except do better or lower your prices! read more

I love this Starbucks but HOLY COW they are SLOW!! Everytime I come here I end up waiting 10 plus mins sometimes 20 for my coffee.

Stopped over here twice this weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and the service was very consistent. Honestly, I rarely ever rate Starbucks anything above three stars, but the staff here was very friendly. On Saturday when I ordered a coffee I needed some cream, one of the gentlemen inside standing by the drive thru came up to me and switched out the empty creamer and handed me a freshly filled one. On Sunday, even though the barista was very busy, she saw me standing by the pickup and asked if I needed anything and kindly gave me a cup of water and a straw. I have been to many Starbucks and usually they make you wait until they finish every single order. Overall, the service was extremely good here. [Review #554] (34th Review of 2018) read more

Great coffee, excellent service, with friendly and personable staff. My husband's coffee was perfectly made, just the right temperature, and they knew how to use his gold Starbucks card. They had the usual assortment of delicious baked goods too! read more

I see this place has some poor reviews, but I have to stay that my personal experience is very, very different with this location. I've never had anything but good experiences here. The employees have ALWAYS gotten my order right, and they usually go above and beyond to keep people happy. Today I used Uber Eats to order an iced blonde latte and a panini sandwich and they actually included an ice water that I didn't even ask for, which was VERY welcome with my sandwich. Everything was made perfectly. They've also been very friendly whenever I go to the store to pick up my orders. I have nothing bad to say about this location at all. read more

The site says they are open at 530. We sat in the drive thru starting at 540 and pulled away at 553 because literally no one was taking an order. I called the store and there was no answer. At least 10 other cars stopped and left due to this. If you aren't going to open until 6, then post the correct time. read more

I loved going to this Starbucks. The staff was super friendly, the hot chocolate and pastries were delicious.

The workers are so friendly and helpful! If you order in the drive thru the line can get a little long but the works try to get you out as fast as they can while still being friendly. A little pricey but it is expected read more

3 different occasions where they can't get my Order right. I've had to get off my car to get the right drink and it defeats the purpose of going through the drive thru! I mean once or twice is understandable, but the person working the drive thru window should double check. Simple mistakes that can be avoided. read more

When I walked into the establishment, I had to wait 5 minutes before someone served me and let me just say that there was no line. I think the new cashier just got there but there were two other employees who were just chilling around, waiting for one another to serve me. Unacceptable. I ordered a soy latte and that was made promptly but the soy milk was not steamed correctly. (I worked for Starbucks for 3 year during my undergrad, so I know how it should look and taste like). I feel like the way the tables and chairs are set up close to the cashier and waiting area could be hazardous, if they do get busy. I sat at one of the window seats and at one point during my 3 hour visit, I couldn't get out of my seat because there was a man who directly sat behind me, blocking me from getting out. I also recommend that there should be more plugs available for those who want to stay and work there. Near the window, there was only one giant extension cord, which could be a problem and an inconvenience if more than a few people decide to work there. Mostly wooden tables and chairs, so I guess Starbucks is leaning towards a rustic feel and not comfortable seating. Also, Before I sat down, I had to clean the counter tops near the window because there were crumbs everywhere. That could be a problem on staff's attentiveness. Overall, would I come here again? Yeah, if I happen to be in the area and is in a dire need of coffee. I personally prefer the one in dawsonville a lot more. read more

Baristas are always super nice, super efficient, and they keep their location super clean. My favorite Starbucks from all five locations near me, love coming here, so I'm kind of confused as to why they've gotten bad reviews lol. It's a restaurant they're not perfect and they can't control things such as waiting times or getting your drink correct 100% of the time. Some people are just snobs :) anyways I would definitely recommend and I come here about 5 out of 7 times a week read more

I don't know what it is about this Starbucks. This store has to be costing the company money. My wife and I stop at this store on our way to North Carolina each weekend. For the 3rd time in 4 weeks they get our order wrong. It's not hard, just a mocha frappe with sugar free syrup and no whip cream. The first time we waited forever in the drive thru and the store was not even busy. The second time my order was wrong. This time we checked before we left the drive thru and yes, the order was wrong. They were nice about it and had us park in front while they redid the order. The two stars is for the inconvenience. The drinks, when made as ordered, are always 5 star. read more

If you want a different kind of milk don't even bother they won't put it in anyway. I ordered a vanilla latte with coconut milk. The cashier repeated it. But the sticker didn't say coconut milk and I watched the barista pour in regular milk. read more

I don't enjoy this Starbucks at all The staff is absolutely fine. No complaints there. It's the store itself which is not their fault. Uncomfortable awkward seating. Very clean store, very friendly staff... I think they grow and harvest the beans for each individual drink though, because it takes absolutely forever. Came here with a friend and the place is so cute. I love that I don't have to drive all the way down to Gainesville to get coffee anymore.

Great SB! Always tastes good aside from an occasional missing flavor syrup from my Carmel iced coffee but really friendly drive thru :)

I go to this location several times a week to get my fav drink and do some homework! Today I was studying and left my (rented) textbook there around 10am. Then around 6pm I realize I can not find it so I call (they were very busy when I called) and explain to Caleb what I did and he takes the time to go and locate my book and bring it up front for me to come pick up. I know what it's like to be busy at work like that so I really appreciated him taking the time to go locate my book for me. read more
