Don't order from here. The girls are lazy and don't even give you what you ask for. The cashier walked away leaving the barista in training alone. I asked for a caramel ice coffee with an espresso shot and they just give me milk. The service was horrible and when I told her this tasted just like milk. The customer service here is the worst I've experienced. Starting from when you arrived you can sense a bad atmosphere. The girl with a blonde wig doesn't greet customers and is not very polite. She didn't get the order right. I had to go home and still make the coffee to taste at least good to drink it. She didn't called out when the coffees were ready. The company should refresh their minds once in a while by sending employees to trainings or have someone supervised them to make sure they are doing a good job. Last time going to this Starbucks. When you leave Yelp reviews now, a little window pops up that says something like, "Hey, before you leave your review, consider everyone's working amidst COVID". With that in mind, the customer service here sucks, even for COVID. Employees are slow, indifferent and rude. They barely make eye contact. They're constantly on their phones. When they mumble out an order that's ready to a crowd of 4,000 customers waiting (there's always a line), it takes the hearing of Jesus Christ to hear it but only if Jesus Christ was bitten by a radioactive spider. Service sucks, they are talking to each other more than taking orders, they don't ask for a name with your order, the drinks are watery and when you recommend something as small as ask for customer name so when order ready they can walk up to get their order you get bad looks as if all other Starbucks don't do it. Starbucks Coffee. Isn't that like saying coffee coffee? Inside a grocery store with only 1 person working. Can you say long line that is not worth the wait? I was bound and determined to grab some muffins and such to take back to the hotel. So I waited, Dumba**. I've got a pocket full of gift cards, so free and tasty makes it all worth it. Don't order anything too complicated, you'll be really disappointed. I wanted the Carmel Ribbon Crunch, but probably should have just asked for coffee. The youngsters that work here are talking among each other with their drama gossip, and it takes forever to get your order. The line was 7 customers long including me and they all were talking about their own affairs instead of concentrating on the customers. Then I received the wrong order because they didn't ask my name like other Starbucks do. This location is closest to me, but I may start going all the way to the Town East location for better service. So sad. read more

I honestly love this Starbucks, they always make my drinks good. But they're always closed when online it says they are open. I don't know if the hours changed and they just haven't updated it or?? The hours posted show that they close at 10 in Tom Thumb and online, but every time I go between 8:20-9:30 they're closed. Sometimes the Starbucks workers are there but lights are off, or nobody is there at all. It sucks because this is the closest Starbucks, and I always tend to want coffee at night. I had went this morning to get my Starbucks, once I finished ordering, they had all orders by all over the place, people waiting 15 min for their drink, while some people who JUST ordered, got their drink right away. I have been coming to this location for years and even though the wait was sometimes long, it was worth it. However, since they remodeled the service has gotten bad and high turnover rate in employees who have no idea how to make the drinks! In the last six weeks the service has been way worse and a complete waste of money since the drinks taste awful. Every time I went, there was a new kid not knowing what to do. What's even sadder is it seems like Tom Thumb management can care less and their excuse is there is no current manager at the Starbucks. They offer to make the drink again, but what's the point when it's been made the wrong way for me a second time!!!! I have been wasting my money at this location for the last couple of months and they have completely lost my business now! I'm not sure what is up with the comments about this Starbucks? I've been coming to this location for years. The line can get long but it's because it is the only Starbucks in this general area and people like it. The folks do the best the can given that. They also do not have a high turnover so you get to know the folks and they remember your drinks. This is a great location. I never have an issue with my drink. read more

I am a frequent Starbucks drinker & with this being the only location in the area I have gave it many tries to be disappointed every time so far. Went yesterday to give it one more try and my drink was completely screwed up.. I told the guy it wasn't made correctly he told me to just drink it and I would be fine. Wow! It went in the trash immediately and I will never return to this one again. I lived in Mesquite for several years until about a year ago. I am still in the area frequently as my daughter goes to school there. I work in the Richardson and Coppell locations. As an avid coffee drinker, i frequent several different Starbucks locations. This Mesquite location is by far the worst I have ever experienced. I am shocked because typically Starbucks pride themselves on providing excellent customer service and products. Consistently, my order is wrong or just not good (I was last there about two weeks ago). Then I waited 30 minutes to only get a really bad cup of coffee.....really disappointing. I still love Starbucks but they really need to pay attention to what is going on (or not going on) with this Mesquite location. read more

Took 5 minutes to get two double tall breve lattes and a Piles with about 6 Desperate Housewives in line in front of us.

Orders were incorrectly taken, staff was standing around, and I never got my drink. Got a refund instead of waiting longer than the half hour I had already waited for them to brew some tea. Management really needs to do an audit here. read more

The coffee and drinks from this Starbucks is horrible. We have discovered that we have to order them with extra shots, just for them to even taste like coffee. At least twice, they have forgotten to make my drinks after I ordered them. Unfortunately, it is the only starbucks close to us. read more
