Normally I don't really bother writing reviews on Starbucks. But this one felt so different upon entering. Parking was easy and there were exactly 0 other customers present when I left the building. There was lots of different sitting areas, including a 4 seat area right by an interior fireplace, which I had never seen before in a Starbucks. It felt super cozy and cabin chic. It's 40 degrees F and overcast...great day to treat myself to a Latte! Just NOT HERE. The seating area is closed. I asked, and was gleefully informed "we have outdoor seating!" Remember: it's 40F outside and this isn't Telluride. Four workers, and they can't afford to open their seating area? Why is there a FIREPLACE there if you're not going to use it? It's Starbucks, so as long as the black coffee, tea and basic blended drinks (not the seasonal whacked-out dessert flavors) are consistent from location to location, then all that can be reviewed is the space and the staff. Plenty of staff available on a hot afternoon, and all we encountered were pleasant. Tables, seating areas, and restrooms were all clean. Nothing remarkable about our stop into this Starbucks of note - just ducking out of the weekend heat and crowds for an air-conditioned, caffeine break. read more

After leaving Rock City, we walked over here so I could get a mocha frappucino. The line was short and the cashier was friendly. My order was up in the usual amount of time. Popped in I'm after a few hours exploring Rock City across the street and I think this is the best service and tasting drinks I have ever received at a Starbucks. I ordered a peppermint mocha l, a breakfast sandwich, and a Chestnut praline. The young ladies at the counter were the sweetest and one of them was from the Chicago area! As one took my order the other began making and they even gave me a super generous pupaccino for my Pup waiting with my mom outside. They have a really nice seating area and I wish I could have sat inside - but we sat outside for a bit so my pup could have a pupaccino and we were back on our way to Florida. I've shown up on multiple occasions, sometimes with kids in tow, during what would be usual hours to find the store closed. 8am & 11am, for example. Some days they do not open until 4pm, so if you are hoping for a morning cup of coffee, check the website first. read more

This is such a great location. They have recently done renovations that has tripled their space. There are plenty of parking spaces and you do not have to enter the park to get coffee. The surrounding area is beautiful and can be the perfect start to your day. The staff are kind, friendly and knowledgeable. It is very clean and tidy. Most unique Starbucks I've ever seen. This isn't a cookie cutter building that looks like every other Starbucks. I've never reviewed a Starbucks in fact. But this one is in a stone building that apparently used to be an auto shop. They have a large old photo of the original business hanging up, which I thought was so special. The outdoor seating area is huge and boasts a tall stone fireplace. And the drive there is gorgeous with views like the photo attached. Wish I lived close by so I could hang out here! read more

For the restrooms you'll have to visit the public (?) restrooms located near the entrancw of Rock City. Three stars because I'm a food snob. Especially about coffee. And let's face it, nice store, good marketing, not to bad food, but coffee? Come on. It's hot and black. That's where the comparison ends. And I guess the store is open for a very long time because it seemed like the whole staff was in training. Friendly, but took an awfully long time. And please excuse any spelling or grammar mistakes. Starbucks on Patten Road in Lookout Mountain is a cool Starbucks location that is convenient and efficient source for Starbucks. I like the rock look of the store and it is different from your typical Starbucks. The staff here is very friendly and works hard to make sure that you have everything that you need. They are well worth a stop if you need coffee. read more

There is nothing wrong with asking people to wear masks, no matter what you feel during the pandemic. HOWEVER: To make a profit off the pandemic like this store did today is sad and wrong. If you don't have a mask when you enter, the Starbucks employees will tell you that you need one. Understandable. So like any normal post-COVID person, I asked for one because every single place I've ever been to during this pandemic has them available. (I had left mine in the car on a rainy day.) Except this store charges $1 for a mask they're requiring you to wear. It has nothing to do with the price and everything to do with the principle of the thing. It felt so wrong to me for them to force me to wear one (even if they are following protocol) only to charge me $1 to buy a mask from them. Please do better. Location is great, selections is good. As long as what you want they still carry. Many drinks they were out. Also this location does not honor the points system which is really annoying. As for service, we ordered our drinks then the guy sits there staring as us like we are crazy. I had to beg to get my recite. Luckily I did. We moved over in the waiting area for drinks after a few minutes one of the other kids that works there came and asked if we had been helped. This is a Starbucks, and therefore not amazing coffee--however, as a Lookout Mountain resident, I feel like these guys deserve the five stars for the amazing speed at which they can get orders completed during rushes of tourists from Rock City. The employees here manage to make this a fast Starbucks experience even when a bus full of 40 people arrives at the door (which is almost a daily occurrence​), and the store is good enough that many people from Lookout still come here regularly to work or hang out. With their recent renovation, they have good study/meeting spaces with a variety of seating. read more

Nice little location across the street from Rock City. However, barista screamed at us about masks. Tons of people in there with no masks on. If you have an issue with masks, just ask. You would not want someone screaming at you for taking too long to make a drink. Guess what! Paying customers aren't going to be yelled at and then hand you money. read more

My family and I decided to go to Starbucks while visiting Lookout Mountain. I'm not even sure where to start because the experience was the WORST Starbucks I've EVER been too! (My family did wear a mask) One of the workers, Lauren, proceeded to scream at people coming in the door "WEAR A MASK." In a very hateful tone. Then proceeded to come behind the counter and get in another families face who had minors and tell them "WEAR A MASK OR LEAVE IM NOT ASKING AGAIN" and they were wearing a mask, just one younger child had pulled their mask down under the nose. Couldn't even sit and enjoy our coffee because of her screaming. Not to mention we got our coffee after everyone else behind us ordered. Extremely understaffed and RUDE staff at that. This is one of my favorite Starbucks in Chattanooga due to the cozy outdoor fireplace. The interior is smaller than most and they close earlier, but this is definitely a niche location and is great for where it is and the purpose it serves. read more

Light night trip there, the Starbucks site says the close at 10pm. I got there around 9:20 and the ladies working there turned me around and said they were close. The lady there had a bunch of people waiting for her outside. My guess is she just wanted to get of there and hangout with her friends, kind of rude. read more
