Lines have slowed down drastically, but the wait is still a learning process for the employees as they figure out how to make orders and what not. Don't use this Starbucks for walk-in service, which is awful. The worst I've ever experienced at any Starbucks location. I ordered a basic cup of coffee with cream at approximately 11 a.m. There was no line inside. But the drive-thru was active. After 20 mins, a barista asks me if I have my coffee. "Not yet," I say, expecting it quickly at that point. 5 mins later, still no coffee. And I've noticed that customers who ordered complex drinks AFTER my order have already been served. So, I go to the register and ask for a refund. They then immediately pour my coffee (took less than 10 seconds) -- but with an openly hostile attitude from both the barista and manager. My experience in other Starbucks locations is that if you order a simple cup of coffee, the barista who takes your order pours it right then and there and hands it to you. Because a cup of coffee is so simple, putting it in the queue with complex drinks makes no sense. Like I said, it took them less than 10 seconds to pour the coffee once they finally got around to it. The staff at this Lexington, NC Starbucks location needs to be retrained on in-person service. When you provide really bad service, you should apologize to the customer, not be disrespectful. read more

My husband and I stumbled on this Starbucks location during a road trip from DC to Alabama. We both needed to use the restroom and wanted to grab a couple of keto friendly Frappuccinos. Sometimes when I go to Starbucks and explain to them how to construct my keto friendly drink, it's not the easiest experience, however, the staff here listened carefully to my instructions and made our drinks PERFECTLY and the drinks hit the spot! As for the couple of not so great reviews, (in their defense), they haven't been open very long AND, they're going through the growing pains of opening a new location during a freakin' pandemic (COVID-19), so I'd cut 'em a little slack! Most businesses I've seen have been having to alter operational hours due to all that's been going on, so I'd say give them a call if you plan on heading there near their opening or closing time just to confirm they're open. Overall, this is a solid 5 star Starbucks (and living in DC where it's saturated with Starbucks, I know a great one when I see one)! We love our Starbucks, but our server was not nice. He handed my honey four bags of freshly ground coffee that weren't closed properly, then he didn't want to give us a bag to hold them. I'm glad honey insisted, because the bag tipped over in a hard braking incident and coffee spilled into the bag, but thankfully not all over the car. Some training would be nice here. This location normally has the worst drive through ever. Normally it runs about 30 minutes to get through 8 cars. Just look at the reviews. Tonight was the first time in over 2 years the drive through moved at a steady pass. Kudos to Arianna, she deserves a raise. To bad you don't have 2 of her for all hours of the day to run the drive through. U go girl you deserve way more than a dollar tip. I hope a manager sees this and looks out for you. The drive thru here is terrible!!! It took over 6 minutes per car before they would even let you order. Ridiculous service. When we got to the window, they were out of whip cream, out of mocha, told us there was a wait on all iced drinks. I don't leave reviews on places. But this was quite ridiculous. I can be more understanding with locally owned businesses. But chain restaurants have procedures in place to keep things moving smoothly. Clearly, none of these were put in place. Mobile order - grande coffee and 2 bottles of water. I'm standing watching the guy mix teas and pretty things for 10 minutes and people come and go, so after my 'due time' is well past, I ask. He gets my sticker out of the dispenser and says got it right here. No kidding. he notices it's for hot coffee and starts to brew a big pot. 'Gimme a minute' he mutters then returns to his conversation with his off duty friend about how hard he works today. FYI that big square brewer takes more than a minute. EVENTUALLY a coffee. Went all the way across town for coffee from here. Had to ask for a drink carrier and they didn't put the plastic stoppers in the top of the cups. So I have hot coffee splashing all over the truck all the way home. Finally get home to discover they gave us plain coffee. Guess they forgot to add the vanilla flavoring too. Management is terrible here, it's pure chance what time they decide to open. If you are planning on a coffee first thing in the morning you better go someplace else. Hours of operation are a joke, they may open when stated or they may not it's a crap shoot. When they do decide to open, be careful with early online orders as they keep the lobby closed and make you wait in the drive thru to pick up first early morning around 6 (pointless, you can just order at the drive thru). Excellent service! The speed is definitely faster since launch day but that's expected. Super polite staff and even though there's a mask, you can still sense the smile when making the connection. I absolutely love hearing Brandon Gibson on the drive thru! No matter the day, he literally makes my day just by being himself even if it is a brief conversation taking my order. He goes over and beyond to make sure my family and I are always perfect before we leave. Wasn't sure what to get so I asked him to surprise me with his recommendation. He made me his favorite, a Venti iced blonde Carmel macchiato. Never had this drink and all I can say is WOW!! Would have never have tried a blonde espresso shot but the flavor was so amazing, I now have a new favorite! Good job to him and the team working hard to keep the store running.
