Consistent product but incredibly S-L-O-W service in the drive through. Not very friendly. There are half a dozen Starbucks within a couple of miles. I would go to the one on Fletcher near Grossmont any day compared to this. The atmosphere, parking and service are much better and the product is identical. read more

SLOWEST DRIVE THRU EVER! It had been a year since I last patronized this Starbucks but I decided to stop and give it another try. This was at 6 pm on a week night around Dec. 20th. I was in the drive thru line 37 MINUTES! Yep, 37 MINUTES. I got as close as the second car back from the window and decided to leave. The drive thru is so slow that cars often back down Lake Murray Blvd. The parking lot is a mess since the drive thru is so backed up. It makes it difficult, if not impossible, to get out of your parking spot if you are parked on the east side of the lot. AVOID! read more

Just came here tonight and asked for one of my favs, Captain Crunch! Well, the guy said he didn't know how to make it, so I was going to settle for a frap. Lo and behold though, someone there knew how to make it and I was so thrilled! They were too and after making it they wanted me to try it right there just to let them know that they had made it right and they did! Awesome customer service! It was humid today and cars were backed up waiting for their orders, but that's ok, they wanted to make sure I was satisfied and that I had my Capt. Crunch. Very friendly people!! I like this location as it is easy to go into the lake murray park a minuteaway to go rest. i cant drink coffee or black tea for health issues and I dont carefor the other Starbucks tea drinks as they are too much sugary junk in most of them i bring my own syrofoam cups with lids i buy from smart and final stores that cost a fewcents and mighty leaf tropical green tea bagsand and starbucks provides free hot tea water upon request. This location is also a good bathroom stop as its not a mess. read more

Consistency is usually something to strive for - except when it's consistently poor operations. Although this is nearest Starbucks (*$s) to my home I will drive further just to get good service. Please don't take me wrong - there are nice people behind the counter. This isn't about politeness or smiling. This note is about efficiency of operations and knowing how as a team to respond and act together. Today being a sunny Thanksgiving I thought I'd drop by to see if time had changed things. Instead of choosing the drive-through I went inside to see firsthand. Good news - only one customer ahead of me in line. Bad news - ten minutes until I was acknowledged and order taken. There was plenty of staff on hand and another register which could have been opened. Nope - staff just continued rote operations of cleaning and checking pastries. Once order was taken things even went slower. The nice smiling barista erred in making my drink and caught her mistake before serving me. She then requested barista at other bar take over my drink (an iced mocha is not difficult). Second barista misplaced my cup and I waited until someone noted the oversight. Drink was then made and handed to me. During 10 additional minutes waiting for my drink no staff member ever apologized for delays or oversight. It's not like the store was overwhelmed with business. Just one walk-in customer ahead of me and one behind me. When I left the customer behind me was getting concerned as he was still waiting for his drink. I may return next Thanksgiving to see if he's still waiting. read more

This place is your average Starbucks. I would imagine that it's not a bad place to grab a coffee/tea to go. However, I come here before some appointments that I have to go to in the area. It's quite difficult if to get work done here if that's what you're looking for. My recommendation would be to sit outside if you can. The staff is just so incredibly annoying and loud. They're also always singing. I don't know what goes through their mind that makes them think they're good at it and that other people want to hear their singing voices. I get it, it's a fast-paced environment and things get lost in the shuffle sometimes, but overcharging me because you got my order wrong? I used to work at Starbucks and I never thought it was difficult when someone ordered a venti drip coffee. And maybe it's the recipe that took a hit over the past few years, but a green tea frappucino shouldn't taste like just milk. Service and product was blah. read more

This Starbucks is conveniently located in my neighborhood. However, aside from being conveniently located and the nice employees, this location is subpar compared to other locations. First of all, 9/10 times the drive thru takes more than 10 minutes, the line is almost to the street, and the drive thru line completely blocks patrons from parking or makes it impossible to leave the parking lot. Second of all, my drinks as of recently have been subpar. This recent visit on Tuesday May 14, 2019 both my late and ice coffee where partially filled leaving a huge gap. Last time I checked, I paid full price for my drink; therefore, I expect my drinks to be reasonably filled according to the price I pay. Third of all, it has been various times that my ice coffee has coffee grounds on the bottom of the cup. Unlike other locations, this location seems to be the only one where I always get coffee grounds in my ice coffee. Unfortunately, I don't have time to spend another 10 - 20 minutes to get my drink corrected when this should not be a problem to start off with. Due to the inefficient drive thru, impartially filled drinks, and excessive coffee grounds in my drink I will refrain from coming to this location as it is not worth my money nor my time and does not meet the standards of surrounding Starbucks. read more

Great service etc. but the parking lot and drive thru is such an anxiety attack and basically a free for all, with angry drivers going every direction. My favorite Starbucks so I will continue to park on the street and walk in to deal with it ......a little walking never hurt anyone. read more

The drive through is a definite plus because I usually want Starbucks on either Saturday or Sunday (sometimes both) right when I wake up and I don't always feel like getting pretty first thing in the morning just so I can walk inside for 5 minutes to order coffee. There's a Starbucks closer to my house, but I did a search on Yelp to find the closest Starbucks with a drive through. I was pleasantly surprised when I found this location not too far away. Their drive through moves really fast and the employees are so friendly. My boyfriend, who's a tough critic, even mentioned that the guy taking orders at the drive through did a great job. They were out of a breakfast sandwich we wanted and let us know immediately. He even suggested another breakfast sandwich that was similar to the one we wanted and it was pretty delicious! We pulled our car forward to the window where a female employee took our payment, gave us our drinks, and asked what our plans were for the day. It was only our first time at this location so it's not like she was asking because we're regulars or anything. I thought that was pretty cool! I like this place. read more

This is my go to Starbucks since it is in my neighborhood. I've always had good service here and good products ( I like to change it up) The only thing I don't like is that it has a very small parking lot, so during the peak hours there's a line of cars going out into the busy street. Also, during those peak hours, the wait can be quite long. So if you're in a hurry, maybe go inside, but good luck maneuvering your car out of those spaces. read more

2 stars because the drive thru never takes less than 10 minutes.. They have more employees than most starbucks and they are still slow as hell. I've waited 20 mins before that's ridiculous. They need to create a max time limit from order time to the time you receive your drink. You should never have to wait 20 mins for a frap! read more

decent place drive through gets crowded in the morning and with a small parking lot it is hard to get in and out of spaces if the drive through line is long but service is good and close to lake murray aswell so good spot read more

I love this Starbucks! It is a nice place to stop before or after walking around Lake Murray. There is a big outdoor patio and lots of room for your puppies. The staff is pretty okay too. But more like it for the location. read more

As others have mentioned, location is both a strength and a weakness. But that has little to do with what a shop is all about - its employees, its service, its clientele, and its products. In this shop's case, all four are five star. As someone who often visits when it's still dark in the morning, traffic is never an issue. Even when I'm still half-asleep and I forget to press "Order" or worse yet - send my mobile order to the wrong shop - they bend over backwards to make it right and get me on my way quickly. Turnover at this shop is very low - I know some who have worked there for years - and it's nice to see the same faces every morning and actually get to know the people who work there to make it a great shop. Since a new shop is being built up the street, and it's much closer to home for me, I selfishly hope that when it opens later this fall some of the employees from this one make the transition! read more
