Friendly and fast service at 8 AM on a Wednesday :) The cashier was patient with me as I figured out what I wanted- got the red peoper egg bites and they were really good! I am always surprised how fast my drinks and food are ready. Definitely would not be filling enough on their own but I ate with some avocado and frozen blueberries I brought with me lol. I love that they have olli pops now too! Root beer flavor is my favorite. The ambiance is cozy with lots of natural light. Customer service was great. However the ant infestation was not so great. By the time we noticed, there were ants all of our stuff. This is not a knock on the employees, it is a knock on the establishment. The store employee came and swept and mopped the floors, however the ants came right back. We got up to leave, I get in my car, there were ants crawling on me and now ants in my car from this Starbucks. The ants seem to be coming from under the long table underneath the leg of the table. read more

If you've got work to do, I find this drive through 'bucks to be better than the larger ones. Sunny and mostly quiet, but they don't always have enough workers to cover both the drive through and the interior. Workers seem to get along well with each other, having fun at work. That's good. Still using non recyclable non biodegradable disposable containers even for inside customers. That's not good. read more

I'm a bit sad to see the mixed reviews of this Starbucks location, but I also have to admit I've had my share of long wait times and missing drinks. Unlike others, I actually like the renovation. Yes, it feels sterile. But the community table is an excellent place for getting work done in the natural light next to the windows and the entire space feels more open. I've had super positive interactions with baristas and managers here. The misses I've had seem to be in moments when the store is short staffed, and I never know what to attribute that to. They seem to struggle with staying on top of mobile orders. It also seems like they're busier than many other locations because of the drive-thru. Overall, I like this location and the staff. I hope they straighten out some of the ordering issues and staffing concerns. read more

UGH... why is it when Starbucks remodels "my locations" they seem to ruin a good thing?!? They ruined the one in HP, and now this one. I gave it three stars because most of the workers there are great... so kudos to them. They make me still love coming here even though it's no comfortable anymore. Hugs to them for keeping this place friendly in spite of the remodel. But now this place is very stark (which isn't necessarily bad) and there is no place comfortable to sit. They took out the smaller tables and replaced it with a bench seat and some round tables that have no room and there is no way to have a quiet conversation at any of them. The big leather chairs were replaced with hard leather chairs with no arms. The rest of the tables are ok, but there is really only one that hubby and I can comfortably sit at. The other is reserved for handicapped so we don't normally take that one. On the patio, bikers think they can bring their bikes into this small patio that's already hard to maneuver in. Then add a bike or three and tables go unused and its unnecessarily crowded. Management should put up a bike rack and a sign telling folks to park their bikes off the patio. This was a problem before the remodeling... I just thought with the money they spent on remodeling, they could have put in a bike rack. That's the other issue... they spent money on remodeling, but didn't take care of the very dangerous situation they have with cars in the drive through line having to cut off the path to the front door. I stopped the district manager once to voice my concerns... but he wasn't interested. I will still go here every day, I just hope they make some adjustments before they lose more customers. read more

This week at Starbucks I learned that only the Schaumburg and Chicago locations have wine at them. Wah wah. The fella working here brought up a good point though...if they had wine, he'd have to drink it. I completely understand his plight. I met a friend at this location this week to kill a bit of time and get a little something in our bellies before heading to an event. The workers were all quite friendly and very helpful and if I lived in the area, this would definitely be my go to hot beverage spot. For $5 I got this great compact little package with sliced apples, nuts & berries, a couple of different types of cheeses and crackers. I hate to point out the obvious but this would have gone perfectly with a glass of white. I'm going to start a petition that all Starbucks should carry wine! read more

I'm giving this Starbucks 5 stars for multiple reasons but the large one is there is NO MUSIC playing! I get SB does Spotify playlists and stuff but it's nice to be in a Starbucks and you can have a conversation. If you truly feel the need to have music during your SB experience then pop on your headphones, ok? The staff was friendly, the service was quick and the location was cozy. I will say I can't imagine trying to work here during the AM on a weekday as the location isn't really large and I can see the tables filling up fast! Power Outlets also seem to be a little scarce but overall, I really feel the tranquility of this location. Well done! read more

She feels like she can't go anymore, because every-time's she goes she feels mistreated, I'm sorry that an elderly oriental lady, who's English is not the best, does not live up to your standards, She does her best every day to work and make a living for herself and for her family, and harder than anyone does at this Starbucks, yet shes treated as lower class, because of the way she looks and the way she sounds, she asks you where her drink is at after 20 mins of waiting for her drink and you fling a straw at her?! how would you like it if I came into your store and flung a drink and straw at your employees? you'd call the police no doubt, but when you do it to her, you think its okay? Don't you know she feels helpless because she feels like she has no voice because she is not well versed in English and in Technology, as her son I cannot let this happen to her, but she still goes because she doesn't want to be mean to you guys. The sad part about this review is that no one will care at all. This is the slowest, rudest most stoned out of their minds staff. First Starbucks we visited here in Highland Park. The baristas were cheerful when we got inside and were greeted with smiles right away. I went to check the mugs for sell right away for my collection and was happy to find out they have a Chicago and an Illinois Starbucks mug for sale in this location. The coffee was good as always. This is a small location with a lot of great people. I like this Starbucks location in particular because it's got lots of parking and not in the middle of all the HP traffic. The staff are very friendly and make me feel welcome every time I walk through the door. I particularly like how the location is its own structure and not a spot in some strip mall. There is outdoor seating that my kids and I like to take advantage of when the weather is nice. read more

As Starbucks go, this is a pretty good one. They have both a drive thru and indoor and outdoor seating. During peak times though service can be a bit slow. Today when I went not only was service on slower side but the barista called out the drinks so quietly that it was impossible to hear when your's was ready unless you were standing on top of him! Speak up man! Nothing to be afraid of unless some caffeine deprived patron misses their caffeine fix and launches an attack. read more

Starbucks doesn't exactly need reviews - I mean they're pretty much all the same, right? This particular Starbucks very quickly demonstrates that they are not all created equal. The staff at this Starbucks are amazing. I've been visiting several times a week for at least 3 years and Mike knows me by voice (through the drive through speaker) and by order. He can tell whether I'm running late for work or have time to chat because he knows my schedule and routine. He knows right away when one of the younger workers gets my order wrong and he quickly fixes it. Though the Lake Forest Starbucks is probably closer to my office, I am loyal to this store because of the care and service they show their customers. In fact, my coworkers even refer to it as my store, as in "I went to YOUR Starbucks today". This store rocks. read more

09/19/16: Because of a schedule change, I end up going to this location again when I need my caffeine fix because it is the most convenient drive-thru near my house; even though there is only one staff in the drive-thru who I feel like is consistently nice (I can't remember her name but I believe it starts with a letter C, she's a petite woman). She doesn't smile a lot either but she is nicer than most. Just like the other reviews, the staff here is not friendly at all. Smiling and friendliness are not in their vocabulary! Anyway...so today, like I normally do, I ordered my drink and asked for LIGHT FOAM. Did I get light foam? NO! In fact, I got EXTRA foam!!! (and today isn't the first time) I don't pay over $4 for a drink just to get foam!!! And I asked for skinny, did I get skinny? I don't think so either because my drink is sweeter than normal. What the F is wrong with the people here?!?! I'm sorry you make minimum wage and you might be unhappy but that's your choice! You picked your career, to be a barista! I am not going to say making lattes is easy peasy. But really, what else do you do as a barista that you can't get an order right??? I have NEVER been to a Starbucks where the staff is CONSISTENTLY HORRIBLE! To add with their ugly attitude, the people here can't get an order right! They are so rude at this Starbucks. I went last night with a friend and had to wait 10 minutes to order a drink. There were 3 employees working and we were the only people in there ordering and one person in the drive thru. The man who I believed to be the night manager saw me waiting and continued to ignore me standing there looking at them. After getting our drinks we sit down to enjoy. We were rudely told after 5 minutes to leave as they were closing. I didn't know Starbucks closed at 7:30 pm on a Saturday?? Odd. I stop by here on my way from visiting clients on the north side and it's a terrific starbucks for several reasons. One, the location. Pretty drive down Sheridan/Westleigh to get here. You can see the lake when the summer tall grass is not in full bloom. It's a bit surreal. Second, they have a drive thru! I know a lot of suburban Starbucks have it but in the city it's quite rare. So I really do appreciate that fact. Three, you can see a lot of people on their bicycles stopping by which makes it more fun. Probably looks like an oasis to them. Four, they have always gotten my order right. One time when they ran out of a certain item, they gave me the closest thing plus a gift card out of goodwill without any request from me. I really do enjoying taking a sidetrip off of 41 to go to this location. read more

There was maybe 5 people in front of me in line, and it took at the very least 10 minutes for me to get through the line and get my order. That is completely unacceptable. Be warned... If you're going through the drive through, they can be really really slow. Not due to volume of cars, they are just slow to make drinks. Three times they have either comped my drink or made it a venti free of charge because of the wait. Not good if you're in a hurry. read more
