Stopped inside the Starbucks to grab some much needed coffees during a long haul from Chambersburg to Newark (2x). Glad I chose this location for a coffee fix/pit stop. It's a short distance from when you turn off of 81. Easy to find location in the shopping plaza, and there's also ample parking. People working the store were super friendly and it feels genuine (which makes all the difference). The dude who took my order was cheerful and chatty. Of course, must confirm in this review that coffees were on point, too - pike place and signature blend (the dark roast option). Wish I could give this place 0 stars. Me and my sister went here to get a quick after school drink, and even ordered ahead. We get there at the time when our drinks are supposed to be done and still had to wait 40 minutes for our drinks. There were at least 20 other people waiting as well. Meanwhile there was two guys running the place and taking their sweet time. One guy was making the drinks, while the other was walking around aimlessly doing absolutely nothing. This is my local starbucks. They have the typical starbucks faire and its consistent with Starbucks quality. Its a small location but its clean and convenient for me. The thing that makes it only 3 stars is I feel the service is just so so. The people are generally kind of bored and not overly friendly. They do a good job but I just love those baristas that seem excited and friendly. Makes it a whole new experience! For a good cup of coffee this is a fine place to stop. Slowest Starbucks I've been too. Doesn't matter if you order on the app or in person, expect at least a 20-30 min wait for a drink, especially on weekends between 2pm-6pm. There seems to be some new people working the registers as the last time I was there they didn't know about the discount on holiday drinks if you have a Red Reusable cup. They then forgot to use my cup, so when I did get my drink I got a regular paper one and had to ask for my cup back. We would occasionally have an early morning and would go to Starbucks before going into work. He recently resigned and found another job. This morning he had some time to kill before going into work so we went to Starbucks. This has been my 6th time at this location and I have never had a bad experience. This morning was no exception. We had a nice guy (barista) take our order and make a few recommendations as well. After sitting down to wait for our order I saw the barista taking another ladies order and he did something that really touched my heart. He came out around the counter and gave the ladies young kid a cookie. He stooped down to this little kiddos level and handed them the treat. It really touched my heart that he would do something so kind! Later my son requested a small cup of heavy cream and the same barista waited on him, first taking the small cup and dropping it on the floor by mistake. He made a funny face which made me chuckle. He was comical as well and is truly an asset to this location. I think his name is Chris. If you are looking for hot coffee and a breakfast snack delivered in a timely manor with awesome customer service, consider this location. You won't be disappointed. read more

ALRIGHT!!!! I've completed the Harrisburg area Starbucks tour! Stopped in before seeing a movie. This place was pretty empty by Starbucks standards but I can imagine that all changes on the weekend. They had 2 baristas, one prepping something and the other guy who was cordial although kinda unsure of his recommendations I asked him to give me about their shaken teas. Nice guy though, as he stuck with me through my own indecisiveness, as I ended up bypassing all his suggestions and ordered the blended lemonade which they had displayed in the ad in front of the register. Normally I'm not this wishy washy about choosing a drink, but I'm glad the guy was pleasant about it. They have 3 tables for outdoor seating overlooking the parking lot of the shopping center, one or two of them have an umbrella. Not sure about wifi access. It is a bigger Starbucks like the one on Union Deposit, so you have a couch or two to choose from. If you were wondering, the blended lemonade hit the spot, even though it came out pink and not yellow. I like this Starbucks the best in Harrisburg. read more

Poor professionalism/customer service. I was blacklisted from returning to this location due to "we've had to tell you several times to wear a mask." Aside from being insulted and humiliated as there were customers all around as she punished me through the plexiglass, I tried to explain both times were unintentional: first time 6:30 am, "I'm sorry;" second time, yesterday, barista clearly irritated while chastising me, calling me by my first name (bc they're taught to develop a 'rapport' with customers), "I'm sorry-my coat up over (3/4) of my face isn't sufficient?" It was a winter storm out, blowing snow, my long down coat hood covering my brow, ears and cheeks, my zipper up over my lower face. Barista said it wasn't covering my nose. I then became somewhat exasperated, apologized and said I'm a nurse, my job description is to educate: 99.97% recovery rate. We are being played for fools. Meanwhile, I have no problem following masking rules, do it every day. But, because I think mask mandate and covid fear-mongering is inherently flawed, I occasionally forget my mask. I go to Starbucks every day for coffee. I have been unmasked once and incorrectly masked a second time with my coat...I mean, this is extreme. read more

It was a Starbucks. I guess I should give up on the Starbucks brand. I have been spoiled too long with local mom and pop shops. Alas...here is my review: The drink ordering process was exhausting. I know my mother and I have a bit of annoying drinks but seriously I had to repeat myself at least 4 times. For the record the drink was still marked wrong. The barista at the register was polite (seemed new but hey we have all been there.) The barista at the bar making the drinks I think was the shift on duty. She was super speedy and when I noticed an issue with the drink, she was super nice and even remade the drink for us. She was great! I think she had short black hair-gosh I wish I had asked her name. Just because of her great service and willingness to help, I will definitely stop back at this Starbucks. read more

This is the worst Starbucks in the Harrisburg area. They rarely have blonde roast in the afternoon and I'm sorry a pour over does not taste the same. They open at 6:30am and I once arrived at 6:40 and there was no blonde roast and no cream out on the bar area yet. Some staff ok but overall not nearly as pleasant as other stores. I would be happier driving out of my way to the UD Road store where they're friendlier and have the blonde roast more often in the afternoon and early evening hours. read more

Because of this, I planned to order something that was fast to make, but the manager(?) suggested a featured drink (that I typically get) and I explained that I didn't want to order something like that because I knew they were closing soon. The customer service here is the worst, I just came home over the summer to relax and every time I go there the workers complain about the customers that walk out of the store after getting their order. A barista with plugs who works there is constantly angry and mad looking, obviously hates his job, and when I see him working I walk right back out because I don't want to experience that at a place where I just want some coffee. It's cozy, the crowd is good, the service is friendly and personable and there's always sweet jazz on the stereo when it's cool outside and outdoor seating when it's warm outside. Plus, it's in a pretty decent outlet mall that's really taken shape throughout the years with Ulta, Old Navy, Noodles and Co, Chipotle, Five Guys and Homegoods. I've been to this location a few times and can honestly say that I've never had a bad drink or bad service from this one. It's really roomy inside and it's nice in the fact that the tables and other seating areas aren't right next to the bathrooms like other Starbucks I've been to. Oh my latest visit, I was with my mom (who had never been to a Starbucks before) and she was pleased. We both got iced Caramel coffees with extra caramel and sat outside to drink them. To start off, the bathroom was phenomenal. I am amazed it was able to flush my monstrous shit I took. Not only did the toilet flush all of it down, but I was able to feel save and welcome. I was asked before if I wanted the Deluxe package for the bathroom. I highly recommend this package for two reasons. First, they come in and do a full body scrub with the lemon pound cake from the front. Second , after you finish doing your business , a little mane named Emanuel comes in and wipes with the softest baby wipes you will ever feel. As soft as your cousins lizard he had when you were teenagers. Best poop I have ever taken. Oh also the coffee was alright. read more

this location is a little bit of a pain. the road is divided so it is tricky getting in and out, plus the parking lot is set up oddly. you take you life is you hands crossing the parking lot to storefront. drivers coming in off the road think it is 45 thru the lot. so if you make it in the door safely you will be greeted but quick service and good coffee. the café is not huge but they make good use of the space. they also have outdoor seating. read more
