They're just some Starbucks' locations that are iconic. I don't mean the ones in the grocery stores or at the airport. There are some Starbucks locations that were destined from the beginning of time to be the place to have s coffee, meet a client, or just for people watching. This location is all of that with a bonus team of Moni and Alex.
Don't be tricked by Google maps or Apple Maps, both will let you know that you've arrived but there's no Starbucks, just keep walking it's at the corner. Enter and there's a small outdoor area that is enclosed and then the actual Starbucks line begins.
PRO-TIP 1: Your rewards will most likely not work here and scanning for points won't do you any good. Just skip. This location doesn't keep a lot of cash. Matter of fact if you can pay digitally all the better.
In the end, the queue is a small waiting area. They still write on the sleeves versus the digital stickers so be aware of that.
If you can grab a seat in the front enclosed area preferably by the window. The sofa cushion most likely has seen its share of behinds, but it's worn in and pretty comfy.
The view is spectacular. There's a Roman-influenced architecture building across the street and there's all sort of people coming in and out. Business attire folks, women police officers, and the occasional tourist.
PRO-TIP 2: This Starbucks doesn't open until 8 am, there's no rush to get out of your hotel room at 6 am for a bucks run. You're simply wasting your time.
Set the clock for 7 am, shower, get dressed, pack your daypack, and leave about 7:40 am. You'll be there by 8:05 am with a few pictures along the way. Enjoy your walk and don't be afraid to venture a block or two off the route.
Alex served me two of the three days and Moni assisted me on my third day. Both were super patient and friendly. Just order like you would at your neighborhood bucks but remember the convention order.

My above drink in the US is about $6.50 USD. The same drink in GDL is $4.50 USD
Not sure why there's a two-dollar difference but I'll take it.
I could easily see my retired self-getting up in the morning and walking to this Bucks for my daily fuel up. Oh, what a dream. Maybe soon. read more
