My wife kicked off the day with one of her favorites, a latte grande. The richness of the flavor without a hint of bitterness blew us away. We'd never tasted coffee like this in New York, or in Seattle for that matter. The owner of Crema di Espresso was the barista that morning, and I started up a conversation with him about Mexican coffee. I learned that it ranks among the finest coffees in the world, better than coffee from Columbia, Brazil, or even Jamaica that produces the renowned Jamaica Blue Mountain. The coffee served at Crema di Espresso is hand sourced by the owner, and roasted by him in a medium dark Italian style. Like a vintage wine, appreciation is in the eye of the beholder. My latte is among the best I've had in Guadalajara. My friend had the affogato and loved it.
