My friend, five-year-old daughter, and I stopped in on an August Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. for coffee. Here's our experience: 1) Coffee: They have a full coffee menu. My latte is among the best I've had in Guadalajara. My friend had the affogato and loved it. My daughter loved her hot chocolate- sweet without being overpowering. 2) Service: It's kind, fast, and on it! They even let my daughter write her own name on the cup and the barista left a heart for her. 3) Space: It's stunning with several dining rooms, a courtyard, and front patio. If you love coffee, go to Fitzroy. They also sell whole beans.

We came here at 09:30am on a Sat morning. I'm usually a Starbucks guy but no one can argue against the fact that little coffee shops like these offer higher quality brews, cause that's just a fact. It's near the Brick steakhouse which I will be reviewing tonite on my third visit. In the morning it's a chill vibe cause the adjacent restaurants are mostly closed but later in the day you will enjoy a more lively atmosphere due to bustling people in the nearby restaurants and bars.

Upon walking in you are greeted by a friendly host who will sit you comfortably alfresco or inside. The bathrooms are inside to the right and you walk through a little maze and then you'll find the bathroom. Don't worry you'll find it lol. I ordered a latte and it comes with little chocolate nib chunks that were perfect dancing on the latte foam. It had the nicest finish and I got it with whole milk and it was delicious. I couldn't decide if I wanted the French toast or straight gelato, so I went with the pistachio gelato that you pay a little extra for for the flavor and it was creamy delicious and not too sweet. Five out of five highly recommend very niche and Artist and there was even someone singing from the street and it was a whole vibe. Five out of five definitely recommend, will return. Again this is a clarification that this is at the Colonia Chapalita not Colonia Americana Location.

Luckily my well connected cousin gave the hostess a wink and a nod and we were at a table immediately. Sorry if you were in line. We started out with some French press coffee which was excellent. You can go down stairs and pick up a bag of ground or beans of there particular brand. I did. I ordered the torta de pancita which translated means stomach sandwich. Whatever it was I ate it and it was delicious. My wife had the chilaquiles rojos. Which I assume were good since she didn't share any. Now here's where things get fuzzy. Someone, I'm not saying who, offered me a cocktail that was not on the menu. It was an artisanal Mezcal which was made into an Old Fashion. So good and they kept coming. Next thing you know we are at Estadio Akron. Modelos are flowing Crowd is cheering and apparently Puebla Suck's cause Chivas won. Luckily I do remember clearly that Palreal is a great place with an eclectic menu that doesn't disappoint. Hang out with the hip crowd. Skip the street tacos for one night and treat yourself to Palreal. Watch out for the off menu stuff. Definitely Recommended.

Of course I came back the third day and got a coffee and a half kilogram of beans to take back to San Diego. At 120 pesos, I couldn't not.
