This is a nice cute Starbucks that has a tiny castle like exterior. Lots of outdoor seats, perfect to enjoy the drinks on a nice sunny day. Inside of the store is also well maintained, separate sitting area in the corner. The store has lots of merchandise on display. The baristas are friendly here. Most of the bakery items are available. Order comes out fast. Lines are not too long and moves along swiftly. Our drinks and bakery items were perfect. read more

This is the most unique Starbucks store I've been into. Apparently it was an auto shop that was meant to look like a castle. It has one turret that was closed off and there is a circular bench seat inside with a few tables, but that's the only interior seating. Staff is usually very friendly, and orders come out quick enough. Good selection of coffee bags and things to buy, and plenty of seating outside if the weather is good. If I'm in Glen Rock, I am stopping in! read more

Terrible... I got a strawberry refresher and when i took my first sip it tasted like lemonade. (i am not a big fan of lemonade). Where's the strawberry flavor? I had to go somewhere and it was the closest one next to me. I really wasn't going to bother because this Starbucks is usually terrible. I really wanted a Strawberry refresher. My order was a tall strawberry refresher (with no strawberries and lemonade). The worker that handed me the drink was nice. ZERO stars is generous. I HAD TO PUT 1 STAR in order to post a review - REMOVE IT - ITS ZERO. I just did a 30 mile ride on my bike and I figure what the heck, I will go buy one of their overpriced drinks. I have no lock, I am by myself, and all I wanted to do was slide my bike behind the shrubs by the window, like I have done 1000 x. So this "barista" or whatever name they call themselves goes out of his way to come tell me not to put my bike there. He says "we have racks over there" as if I am as dumb as I look or something. I SAW THE RACKS - I HAVE NO LOCK. The racks are out of view when you go into the store. He says to me "No one will take your bike.: Haaaaaaaaa Haaaaaaaaa Hoooooooooowaaaaaa. LOL OK sure pal. What a disgrace. This company is losing business daily. Good luck with your turnaround plan. You just lost another one. LOL what a joke. read more

The outside of this Starbucks is extremely unique. Just the exterior attracted me to stop for a visit. I did the mobile pick up and walked in two minutes later and my drinks were ready. Applaud by the speedy service. The drinks were also made correctly. No complaints and would definitely come back. read more

I THINK THIS LOCATION IS CLOSED... at least temporarily. I went there yesterday (Sunday, 12/20/2020) and they were closed. No sign on the door, no indication on the Starbucks app, and no one answering the phone (or voicemail message). Weird! read more

Not the cleanest one I have seen, only a few chairs to sit so if you plan to take your laptop and enjoy a cup of coffee and work this is not the place. They have their own parking so it was easy to get in and out. read more

The best Starbucks I've ever been to, and I've been to my fair share of 'em. The outdoor seating area and indoor decorations/atmosphere are fantastic, and really special. The employees are always the nicest, and have fantastic memories. I've never been disappointed with a drink I've ordered, and if there ever is even the slightest mistake they always deal with it appropriately. Definitely worth the trip if you're from a neighboring town...much better than the other Starbucks nearby. read more

It's your standard starbucks. I feel like my pumpkin spice latte yesterday was heavy on the pumpkin spice and light on the espresso, to my dismay. who know if this is different than any other starbucks though. One notable fact is that this Starbucks has a turret. The building was a gas station for most of the 80's and 90's, and who the hell knows why a gas station needed a tourret either. However please be forewarned that the turret is not very well heated in the winter. It has two armchairs though. Yeah, not that much seating in this Starbucks, but it's more of a suburban come-and-go place than your usual urban sit-and-chat coffeeshop. (Yeah, I'm the only transient in here with a laptop right now, and yes, I'm writing this review of Starbucks from this Starbucks as we speak.) There's also 8 normal parking spots and 2 handicapped parking spots. And outdoor seating in the summer. read more

Very nice Starbucks with plush seating indoors and a great outdoor seating area too. Conveniently located in a busy corner of Glen Rock (Glen Ave & Rock Rd), they really don't miss any of the action. Really great interactive and friendly staff here too. The guy behind the counter recommended I try the gingerbread chai latte because it is seasonal and a must-try so I went for it and I don't regret listening to him one bit because it tasted as great as he promised it would. Usually, I find that staff members go through the motions, but he actually went out of his way to welcome a customer and speak to them. Thanks for the recommendation! read more

It's a good Starbucks with an outdoor lounging area, and available parking in their lot. Never got poisoned here unlike the one at Ridgewood. It's laid back, and stylishly trendy. The baristas are extremely knowledgeable in their trade, and are friendly in sharing that knowledge. The quality of the drinks they make are above average, as they do not skimp on the premium ingredients that make their drinks flavorful. The sandwiches and snacks here taste fresh. Why not give it 4 stars? Well, I'm just a casual drinker of coffee, not a fan. =D read more

If you're looking for a Starbucks that you would actually enjoy drinking your coffee in, instead of taking your caffeine fix and running for the door, this is the place for you. Very pleasant staff, never keeps the line waiting for too long. The building itself is really cute, looks like an old castle tower. They have outdoor seating for warmer weather and I've often seen people relaxing outside with their dogs. They have their own parking lot but is often full since it's quite small, but you can always find street parking or park in the much larger post office lot down the block. I would highly recommend this location vs. the ridgewood location (which I often go to out of convenience even though I don't prefer it). If you have the time you're much better off driving the extra few minutes to glen rock if you want to sit down, if you just want to grab and go coffee, then ridgewood is fine. read more

This is my new local spot. Love this area but holy sh*t I never thought a Starbucks could get it wrong this often. Drinks are wrong most of the time (9/10) and when asked to remake, baristas look at me like I grew another head. Will update if they train their employees on how to make the drinks on their menu...it's not a lot to ask for. Otherwise the employees are very pleasant and the location is clean. Maybe I'm biased because this starbucks is in my hometown, but I'm a fan. The starbucks is in an old building (which actually used to be a gas station believe it or not) which looks like a castle. There is some outdoor seating which is right on Rock Road, the main drag in Glen Rock, NJ. On nice days it's hard to get a table out there, but there's also a counter you can sit at inside which overlooks Rock Road and of course, the typical starbucks tables and comfy chairs. This is my favorite Starbucks! Mostly because I don't go to any other ones. When my alarm goes off in the morning Starbucks is the first thing on my mind. On my way to work, I always stop at the castle Starbucks. The barista predominantly on register, on weekdays, between opening and 10am is truly wonderful :) If you're a frequent customer and lucky the baristas might remember your name and/or drink! How special! Also, at this location you will see groups of Glen Rockers brought together over coffee or tea or even decaf to discuss the latest Glen Rock gossip, such as which tree would be good background for a photo opp with a pumpkin spice latte. And for tourists, castle Starbucks is only a block or two away from the most prestigious rock, the Glen Rock rock. And it's located in between 2 train stations. read more

I grew up in Glen Rock and as I am sure many people are aware this used to be a gas station. I can only speculate on how the presence of a Starbucks may have impacted my formative years. I have always been served in a timely manner and found everything in decent condition. I have heard reports that Starbucks nationwide is having an issue with staffing due to people hours being cut. I am not sure if this is substantiated in general or affecting this location specifically. The outdoor area with chairs and tables is nice. I have only been here in the afternoon and on weekends so I can imagine that it gets really busy before the work/school day. read more

Service is pretty fast here and the staff is very friendly without trying to push too much on customers. I like the outdoor seating, I just wish they had more of it. Parking is the biggest complaint I have about this location. The configuration of the parking area to the nearby streets can lead to accidents if drivers aren't careful. I like this Bucks. The service is fast, they have outdoor seating in the nice weather and the space is large enough in the cold weather for there to be seating. Plus they have a pretty good amount of comfy chairs, which is a plus in my SB book. Its a nice, quieter alternative to the normally mobbed Ridgewood location.
