Starbucks is usually consistent across the board in terms of the taste and flavor for food and beverages. It's really the associates that work there that really make all the difference. The gentleman that took my order was super nice and he reminded me that I left my sunglasses on the counter! He was courteous and upbeat. The barrister that made my iced coffee was so polite and courteous as well. This Starbucks is located in the heart of the Old Town or Downtown Frederick on a quaint street with plenty of shops. This is the worst Starbucks I have ever been too! Worst experience ever!!!! The barista who took my order made comments about my breasts and told me that "a fat lady without tits is like a unicorn" I don't know what that means... they then put 4 pumps of vanilla into my drink while I specifically requested 2 it's a shame they cannot find good employees, total disaster! read more

If I said the service here was terrible it'd be an understatement! Go to any other Starbucks but this one. They make my drinks wrong literally EVERY TIME I've come here..get it right. Can't be that hard to fix a cup of coffee dude. And to add to that, the girl that gave me the coffee had an attitude and pushed the coffee toward me because I said I had a different size. Used to bring the kids here Sunday mornings. Unfortunately now it's basically a homeless shelter. People leave trash on tables and wander away but if you try to clean up or sit there they reappear and claim they're still sitting there. Service is still good. Just no longer a place to bring the kids for 15-20 minutes to eat a croissant. read more

Have been here many many times! The Staff is always so nice, know the products they're making and serving to their Customers and they sometimes even have recommendations that have turned out to be pretty good!! The atmosphere in the establishment is quite relaxing, high ceilings in the front of the store and then in the back of it, they have seating which its quiet back there! They never have been out of any kind of substitute for drinks I've had remixed for Allergens of sorts! Definitely recommend if you're strolling through DTF and need a Cold or Hot bev!! First of all, I've been a Starbucks fan-boy for over 20 years. I spend approx. $2,500 per year at SB. After moving from McLean/Tysons VA to Frederick MD June of 2021 my first priority was finding the perfect Starbucks to call my second home. After being disappointed by three Frederick Starbucks, one of which is within walking distance to my home, my girlfriend and I happened upon the downtown 104 Market Street location where we found 'just right.' Actually, we found Mia and J.B.. I can say with conviction that Mia is on my Top 3 Best Barista's of All Time list. Both Mia and J.B. are the real deal. They're passionate about making the perfect cup of coffee and creating a warm and welcoming experience for their valued customers. Katie, the store manager, should be very proud of the team she has built as they are a major asset to the store and the Starbucks brand. read more

I love how this Starbucks keeps the old historic Frederick Charm. The floor looks like it's the original wood. The doors definitely seem to be original. It really does fit in almost seamlessly to the bustling shops on North Market Street. If you are looking for tables, go to the back right of the store. All of the tables are located in the way back of this narrow store. read more

This Starbucks is pretty big. It has a small seating area in the front than a huge seating area in the back. I was shocked I haven't seen one this big in downtown DC. The service was good and it wasn't crowded. Most important my coffee was amazing ! read more

I'm not a big fan of coffee in general Starbucks as well is way too expensive for me to spend on something that I don't even really care for but my wife on the other hand loves Starbucks loves coffee but Starbucks is her number one and her go to I have to take her there constantly at least three times a week and that's when she's working if she's not working or has a few days off we're definitely going every day and the other three days is on our way to work three days a week so that's five days when she has a couple days off as well. I recommend it if you're a coffee drinker everybody seems to love Starbucks I seem to be the odd man out. Lol read more

This is one of my favorite Starbucks locations. They are totally in line with the old town feel of Frederick and they have a very cool inside vibe. I have never seen a better use of space and creative approach than this location. Go in tbe back and you will find a whole street and store front look right inside, bringing the historic area into the seating area in the room. Folks!!!! It's really a fun vibe. Im currently a student at the school in that same block, we attend VERY REGULARLY and it's always something, I try to be understanding because they get flustered and busy but its no excuse sometimes for the mistakes i settle for. I asked for a tall LIGHT ice and as you can see the pic 3/4 of my cup was ice. I nicely and very timidly ask them to remove it, the guy says hell remake and then makes a TOTALLY DIFFERENT DRINK when i grab it i mention it and they seem flustered about THEIR OWN mistake so i just grab it and go. For the money im paying, specially as a student i should get my order right. Im tired of being frustrated withy orders. read more

This Starbucks has a nice back area, and the front section looks onto Market Street which is always good for people watching. The drinks are the typical ones you get at Starbucks, no better or worse. The real reason to come here is because the baristas are awesome! read more

This Starbucks is great too. I love the downtown feel and the fact that you can sit outside when the weather is nice. They always are happy and smiling at this location and have never messed up one of my orders which is usually a dark roast or an Americano. I just with I could run in easier (in downtown street paid parking area) but I still am giving 5 stars. read more

We stop by here whenever we're in Frederick. Generally, we have a good experience. This last time, we did not. My daughter loves the shaken teas. She usually gets a very berry hibiscus with lemonade. It's her go to drink at our local Starbucks. These teas are suppose to be "shaken" and it makes a HUGE difference in how they taste, especially if you have berries and lemonade in it. This location does not shake the teas. They make it in a cup and just move it around. I asked why they don't shake and they said this is just as good, but if we required it, they could do it in the shaker. If it's not "shaken" it still looks like lemonade - when shaken it's dark pink, so it definitely makes a difference. I asked for it to be shaken in the shaker and he did it, but obviously was not happy with us. We had also ordered egg bites and after we watched several people get their orders after us, they asked what we were waiting on. They forgot to make them and then did it for us. It just was a frustrating experience. I never have these issues at our Starbucks. read more

Two and a half stars. Cute interior in line with the feel of Frederick. The only drag is minimal seating, and inconsistent customer service. Pickup is all the way in the back, and my grande chai latte was a little thin compared to the standard I get at the Starbucks near my work. This place serves Starbucks coffee and it is very good to drink. There is a secret lounge in the back that is quiet and trendy, cool. You can play Pokemon here. Also Ingress, which is where Niantic grabbed their pokestops from. You can also do other other things on your personal device like surf the Internet or watch a YouTube video. You could even start a petition on WhiteHouse.gov if you wanted to. I mostly come here for coffee though. It's good. read more

Great location, pretty much average everything else. I never really feel welcome in there, which I know should be obvious when going into a chain store, but I've never felt this way about any other Starbucks in a city or downtown area. It just feels really cold there. The drinks are up to the same quality you'd find at any other location, and the service is fast enough. There's plenty of seating in the back room area, but in the few times I've been there it doesn't seem that they do frequent enough rounds of cleaning. Hey, it's Starbucks. So really I just want a coffee to go. But the atmosphere of this place just really bothers me; it doesn't feel cozy at all. Overall 3/5. read more

I agree that they did a fantastic job with the architecture. The outside which is now inside really captures the history. I love downtown and think Starbucks is a great addition. I've heard from several merchants that having SB downtown has actually brought in a whole new clientelle that have not shopped downtown before, so there goes the whole 'evil corporate chain store' argument. Whatever helps local mom & pop stores is great with me, and its sometimes in ways that don't make the purists happy. read more

I absolutely love coming here, not only because it's practically the only Starbucks in Frederick, but because I enjoy the coffee here. I usually come around mid-morning. This is the time when I can meet up with some if my old friends and we can gossip about everyone else. It's a nice location because it's not a dangerous area, so you don't have a lot of crazies coming in and out of the place. I also like to hang out and get work done on occasion. The Wifi is spot on! This place gives me one more reason to like Frederick. I must preface this review to advise those of you who try to go there during your lunch break. This place is surrounded by si many businesses, and it gets packed with people during mornings and lunch times. Parking can also be somewhat challenging during the morning lunchtime rush. Not to mention that everyone wants their coffee on time! read more

My coffee today was well within the median Starbucks experience. My son loved his mocha frappucino as well. Now some of the anti-establishment, big-corporate-coffee-is-evil types will disagree with me, of course. Though it's rather ironic that they'll then show their contempt by heading down the street to Nola to enjoy a cup of oh-so-local Illy espresso :-) Anyways, coffee politics aside - have you gone inside this place? The back room is so cool, the way they took what must have been an alley and blocked it in, so that the 2nd floor porch of the neighboring building hangs over the dining area, inside. Very cool. I was angry when Starbucks went downtown. I didn't think they belonged there. But then I went inside and noted they at least kept the historic feel of the building and it's not like there was any competition right downtown. And then one day I walked by and saw that they had covers the brick and ripped up the original flooring and made it as basic as every other Starbucks. I've visited all of the SB locations in town and this one has the closest thing to feeling like a mom and pop coffee shop of all of them. I think it's because of the location as most people have mentioned in the reviews so far. Parking outside is limited to whatever you can find on the street which is metered Mon-Sat, there is however a parking deck directly behind the location that charges $1.00 for the first hour, and the first 15 minutes are free, so that always an option. Personally if you've not experienced downtown Frederick previously do yourself a favor and park in the deck and spend some time walking around on Saturday afternoon. Two days in a row....shame on me for ordering peppermint mocha on Saturday and today. Saturday during the late morning, peppermint mocha was tasteless. Today, with my granddaughter, the peppermint mocha tasted like ice water with Caramel flavor. No sign of peppermint. Sad thing my granddaughter wasted her allowance for this weak drink. My wife and I drive 30 minutes to go here on the weekends. The people there are VERY cool. The atmosphere reminds me of the old school coffee houses I used to go to while stationed in Europe: Comfortable & comforting. Starbucks should consider making this built-in-an-old-townhouse place a model for other stores. If we didn't have to go home to feed & walk our poochie-dog, we would probably stay there till closing. Worse Starbucks experience in a long time. Busy Sunday am but not crazy. It's in downtown not in the mall or a grocery store! Barista won't even smile to make eye contact. Makes the drink and puts it up on counter without saying whose it is. Covered tag with cardboard sleeve so couldn't read them. Had to ask someone else cause I think she was going tear me a new one. I'm not going to review Starbucks coffee, as most of us coffee drinkers have tried Starbucks at one time or another and the flavor is pretty consistent nationally. No, I'm giving four stars to this location due to the really nice seating area in the back half of the store. The front half of the shop has standard wooden tables and chairs, which are comfortable. However, located in the rear half of the shop, are 6 or so leather lounge chairs/sofas, which are really comfortable. If you have a great book you want to read, work to do, or surfing the net, you can do so enjoying coffee in comfort for an extended period of time. read more
