The last few times the coffee tasted burnt - okay, I can give them the benefit of the doubt they were just having a bad day. My husband went to pick us up 2 large coffees with oatmilk (I have a dairy intolerance and whole milk KILLS me, I'm also breastfeeding my 2 month old daughter who has a dairy intolerance as well) and a turkey havarti bragle. It was $25!!!! I have 1/4 of my coffee and a few bites of bagel before I can tell something isn't right. The coffee was definitely made with whole milk, but even more than that I was VIOLENTLY ill. My husband calls the store to talk with a manager about the coffee being made wrong. They said "sorry, there's not a manager here, we can't tell if the coffee was made with whole milk or oatmilk because we all collectively make the coffees together so there's no way to tell, come back tomorrow to get a new coffee" I spent the day in the bathroom - again with a newborn and 2 toddlers who need their mom at 100%. I call the next day hoping to speak to a manager, I get the same "there's no manager on duty" I told them I thought I had food poisoning and wanted a refund and to speak with someone. The kid suggested I go to "biggby dot com and fill out a complaint because that would be quicker". I told him I'd prefer he write down my information because I'm a mom of 3 and I have food poisoning - I don't need to hunt down an email to speak to someone about getting a refund. (Hindsight he never shared my information because I never got a call) I ended up going online to fill out a complaint. Got the full run around, the owner reached out and apologized - asking questions about the visit and then radio silence for 5 days. I reached back out appalled it had taken almost a week to hear back. The owner got an attitude - saying they had a family emergency and they would refund me. TLDR: go literally anywhere else for coffee, you'll save money and you won't get the wrong type of milk in your coffee.

On my visits, I have been the only customer in the store which makes me concerned for the long-term health of the business, but the store was clean and the donuts were freshly made as has always been my experience with Duck Donuts. I hope they stick around for a long time because my cravings need to be satisfied when they hit. :D
