This Starbucks at Union Hill in Denville has always been one of my favorites. It's very convenient with a huge parking lot. It's a fun place to stop for coffee when you're going to Trader Joe's or one of the other stores in this shopping center. The baristas have always been very friendly. I just went here and I am astonished! Okay so my normal order is just a simple pink drink but I decided to get a water and chocolate croissant to enjoy. The drinks and snack were amazing but what this place had that made it amazing was one of the employees was testing a drink combination, I think it was like a dragon drink with some sort of foam on top but she offered my a FREE sample and it tasted so good!! I visited your establishment on 10/18/25 at approximately 4 pm. Your manager on duty rudely notified customers including me waiting patiently in line that we would have to wait nearly 15 20 min all because they were quoute on quote understaffed as was stated. I have worked in retail and currently work in retail and I would never speak to a customer the way this employee did. After she rudely notified us in line a few people including myself walked out. So your rude employee costed you your business. I really hope this gets fixed. I will be following up on Monday. read more

This has been a go-to Starbucks for several years. Friendlier and cozier than the Denville Plaza location, warmer inside than the Route 10 Parsippany location, and less loud than the Rockaway Ring Road location, here is an area coffee shop where you can actually do work. My favorite baristas have come and gone, but the ambiance remains cute as ever. I just wish it were closer to my house! It can get crowded when people are doing their groceries at the nearby Trader Joe's on Saturdays and Sundays. There are five bar-height tables, a lounge with four leather chairs and two side tables, and four tables along the side, at which half the seats are bench seats. I usually don't have trouble finding a seat, even when it's crowded. read more

Such a great Starbucks! I came here a few weeks ago on a random Thursday evening. I had an event to attend just 5 minutes away from the Starbucks but still needed to completely my work day before going. So, my fiance and I drove from home straight to this starbucks in hopes snagging a table and chair to work from and luckily this place had plenty seating! We both ordered a drink and got started on working. We were there for a solid 1.5 hours and were not nudged to get out or anything, and it was perfect. The iced coffee I had gotten was delicious as well. Would definitely recommend! read more

Moments later another barista remarked on my Danish cap and seconds later, the lovely Jenny was joined in. Breezily chatting away about her time as an Emirates flight attendant and her wonderful Danish friend she'd flown with. And in that brief breezy chat, a year's isolation appeared to lift as we all enter a vaccinated world. Me and my Husband went to this location today to get some coffee for us n my mother in law. This has been one of our favorite locations since the service is always good. We are really sad about the experience we had today, we bought two Caramel Brûlée Latte and a White Mocha and they all came with something that seemed to be oil, we had not noticed until my in-law took the cap of hers off and we noticed some kind of oil. We're sad we experienced this but hope to have a better experience since this is the first one we've had. read more

Good location on Route 10 located in a strip mall with plenty of parking makes this a convenient Starbucks. This location was clean and the staff was friendly and smiling. They gave wifi which was working and that made me happy. They got my order right and gave me the same consistent Starbucks experience I am used to. read more

This is a quaint little Starbucks, staffed by some great people! It is a clean location, and every worker I've interacted with has been pleasant. Here's the downside: on two occasions, I have customize my drink order through the Starbucks app, and had instructions ignored. I came to realize that this location does not have certain ingredients. That is fine, however, when I am indulging in my twice a month, 7000 cal diabetes inducing beverage, I would like it to be made correctly. At the very least, it would be good of the stuff to mention that they are out of the ingredient in question when they hand me the drink, instead of pretending like I'm not going to notice. Maybe they're just saving me from the extra calories. Perhaps my dentist for bade them from giving me extra toppings on my frap. Not sure. read more

I kinda had a hard time getting into this Starbucks location. Being from out of town my friend chose this location because it was in a shopping mall with a Panera. However we missed the first entrance and had to circle back to get in there. Watch out the light there says not to make a right turn. For my order I had to have some classic sweetener added to my drink and my breakfast sandwich bread was toasted too much and it was hard. My friends asked for their drink to be stirred together but the baristas acted like they didn't hear them and continued doing what they were doing. It was Earth day and I received a free travel cup but my friends ordered after me and they didn't get a cup. Not sure what the qualifications were to get the cup but it seemed weird. I had a bad experience with them in the beginning of the pandemic, so I haven't been back. I go out of my way to stop at the Main St. Denville location because they are ALWAYS polite and professional. But today it's the aftermath of a blizzard, and I myself just finished my similar retail job so I checked the app and it says they're open until 8, figured I'd give it another shot..... nope. This is a new Starbucks off of Route 10! There's a drive through here, which is super convenient. I did the drive through and there was no line around 7pm, the service was excellent, and the employee was really nice! I ordered the bagel bites, which aren't really advertised at Starbucks, but they're SO good. However, these are about $3 for only 2 bagel bites, so pretty pricey. read more

This is a really nice Starbucks location. Staff does a nice job of keeping it clean. Drinks are usually right or very close to the order. They engage in conversation and are friendly. The manager, Xavier, takes time to get to know his clientele. That is appreciated. He's a nice guy. BUT... The young woman who works mornings (wears a beanie, Danielle might be her name) is rude. She's abrasive, shrill and always standoff-ish. It is clear that she doesn't value her job or the people putting tips into the jar. Customers are an inconvenience. It has parking(!) and adequate outdoor seating in nice weather. This location is a little more noisy and crowded than I would like. Also there are only four padded chairs to sit in. If you are working for an extended period of time the metal chairs may wear on your fanny. I still have all my mini meetings here. The bathrooms are clean and the staff is friendly and knowledgable. Very clean Starbucks location. Bathroom is tidy and free of debris. The staff is friendly and willing to accommodation you. My last visit was about 10 minuted before closing and I was 'that guy' who comes in and orders 2 lattes right when there were planning on going home. They have a serious issue with this Starbucks location...it's grossly understaffed during the work week. I have no idea why they can't recognize the problem and hire at least one more barista. I used to tolerate the long, slow line in the morning, but I'm done. I was here a few weeks ago, the line was out the door, that's just insane. If the line moved swiftly like it does at other locations, it would be OK. However, everything happens in slow motion at this location. I know other people have complained about the same thing and have stopped going here during the morning commute. I might be a fool paying nearly $5 for my morning coffee, but I'm not an idiot, I won't wait on a slow line AND overpay for my coffee. They really need to correct the issue, but I have a feeling, things won't change. read more

The staff is friendly and is a great place to study. They have a good amount of tables and all but 1 large commune type table has outlets. Wow. I ordered a bunch of drinks. They dod a good job with organizing the 5 I had ordered. My issue came with the register. My Starbucks card had a zero balance. I asked My barista to add funds to the card for purchase. Unfortunately she added the funds to my card refil so instead of spending 50 (card refill and the subtract the drinks) she added the 50 to my almost 30 bill. When I pointed the out she seemed thoroughly confused. Best part, I made the statement now you would think a more seasoned employee would help - nope everyone completely ignored the situation including the manager. Second opportunity to self correct was when I was standing waiting for my drinks and I actually said I can't believe the manager didn't step in to help. IT was then pointed out to me that the manager was making drinks and saw the whole thing go down and didn't step up to help. Bottom line - they will make your drinks ok - but don't step out of the ordinary or expect good customer service. Or apparently a manager that cares about the brand. So I came to Starbucks to order a perfectly brewed refreshing ice cold coffee. As soon as I got my coffee I put the straw in and tasted it.
