Reliable! The staff is usually friendly but I had a very unusual encounter with one of the staff. She looked at me up and down when I approached her register as if something was wrong with me. It seemed as if the register was down and the previous customer was waiting on something--she didn't explain that to me at first--and I had to stand there waiting which I wasn't bothered by, but a clarification at first would've been more useful. I went to a couple different lines and settled on the one next to hers until she motioned to come back to her line. Didn't even say have a nice day where the other worker who was near her did so. We all have bad days, but I don't know what happened there. Not a good look for her. read more

I love Trader Joe's. We stopped in for some fresh fruit and wandered the store. All the usual departments: produce, frozen foods, pasta, dairy, flowers etc., etc. It's a good sized Trader Joe's with plenty of cashiers working a very busy store. Parking is shared with other businesses in the strip mall and there were plenty of spaces available. Staff were plentiful and friendly. read more

Bright, organized aisles with a nice selection of products in stock. Service was great and friendly. The carrot cake samples were excellent - we will definitely be picking up more of that in the future! Parking available in the shopping center lot. read more

Like this Trader Joe's ! What is more to say... it's always a happy spot. Just time your visits and it is my fav place now as Whole Foods is 3x more. read more

I love Trader Joe's but, I have never experienced such a RUDE and UNhelpful Cashier named Julia who wouldn't lift a finger to bag my items or greet me or ask me anything at check-out. I had a lot to items that cost me over $368.00. She wouldn't even push the cart towards my way so I could place my heavy bags in it. I had to reach over to bag my stuff as she wouldn't even push it towards me. She never said a word which was fine at first because I gave her the benefit of the doubt but, she proved to be very unhelpful and rude. read more

Great staff! Always warm and welcoming! Staff who assisted me today also went the extra mile. Clean store. Great products as usual.

Lots of parking considering how busy the store was. Everything I needed or wanted was in stock so I was THRILLED I didn't have to flag anyone down only for them to tell me it was a seasonal product. The store was neat and organized. The bathroom could've used some tlc. Big flower selection so I was happy about that. I was happy with the store but I still like my Bridgewater location better. They're so much happier and nicer and always ask if I need anything or any assistance whether I need it or not. read more

The Organic selection is phenomenal, it's a cute no frills ambiance store. Wish Trader Joe's would open up a location near me, otherwise I have to drive 2 hours away to State College or an hour and a half towards Allentown. Never had an issue with the working crew, they are always very friendly and helpful, until my last visit there with my sister at the State College location, The girl checking us out, was unbelievably rude. read more

Okay I'll admit it, this Trader Joe's is The Best Store on the Freakin Planet hands down!! I'm gladly coughing up that last star I held out previously. It's just a simple fact that this place is a Five Star kinda Place All Day Every Day!!   First, The Brand is Exceptional. Everything that I've ever bought here has lived up to that. From Produce to Peanut Butter, Iced Cream to Iced Tea, Shortbreads to Short Ribs, it's ALL High Quality YUMMMMMMERS!!   Second, the Employees at this Store are Awesome. I'm talking about Smiles for Miles on some Super Friendly Folks. I see how they treat and have treated the Elderly and Immune Compromised Customers throughout this entire C-19 Shituation and it's way beyond anyplace else I've ever shopped at. You Know The Rest.. Come And Get Your Shopping On!! read more

This is our go to TJ's since we moved to Denville. We love coming here, staff is as always super nice and helpful. Love all the produce and options here. Even during weekends and peak hours, the line on check out counter moves fast. One of things stands out is staff will go out of their way to help you out. Great location with plenty of parking. read more

I'm a huge TJ's fan and really glad that there is one in Denville instead of traveling to Florham Park. The store is super large, bright, and it never feels like you're on top of people (unlike Florham Park). I'm not sure if I come on off days, but I feel like the store either runs of the items I want or they don't stock the new items I see online. I've tried to get the chicken sausage patties twice and they're out. :'( I also drove over to pick up the Japanese cheesecake and calamari in oil, and they weren't stocked. Staff for the most part is friendly. One of the managers is super nice and goes above and beyond and lets you know when an item will come in. There was a staff member I asked if they had a certain item in stock and she just kind of lazily pointed to an aisle before walking off. My TJ's experience is generally they're really helpful so that was kind of disappointing. Overall a solid TJ's but definitely don't be surprised if they don't have the stuff you're looking for. read more

Love shopping here. Friendly staff, interesting collection of food, especially produce, and easy to shop atmosphere. You may not be able to do all of your shopping here but they have lots of temptations and that ain't bad. read more

Updating my review because the staff here is wonderful, and it needs to be shouted from the rooftops! There is an employee at the front of the store who will clean and sanitize your cart for you. If they notice your cart is a little bit broken or worn down they will run out to the front to retrieve a new cart for you. Everyone greets you with a smile, and the checkout staff is so friendly and helpful. They literally check your carton of eggs to make sure that none are cracked. If you have a large amount of groceries and are by yourself someone will even walk you out to your car and help you. Not to mention, everyone is just so sweet and friendly. You are greeted with a smile and it's not uncommon to chit chat with whoever is ringing you up! Seriously the sweetest people, and everyone at this location just goes above and beyond. Trader Joe's is always a desirable place to shop, but the employees in Denville just make it even better. read more

Denville store sometimes has unique orchid plants. Great produce section and nut varieties.

I like this location of Trader Joe's. It seems more spacious than some of the other locations. Their produce is always fresh and they're always restocking. The staff is extremely friendly and I've only had very positive experiences here! I think this is one of their more popular locations... in the summer, I have waited in a winding line to get into the store (~45 min). Everything I've ever tried from TJs have been great quality products. A lot of my favorites are seasonal so if you don't stock up and it goes out of season, you'll have to wait til next year (common for the snack section). Great spot and I'll be back again and again! read more

I like the selection of fruits and vegetables! Always fresh! Everyone is friendly and helpful. We're often disappointed with the baked goods. But we LOVE TJ coffee!! Plants and flowers are a fun buy with good prices! read more

Yay! This location is much more spacious than the Florham Park location. Staff is v. friendly, as is typical with all TJs and they've been doing a great job of handling covid. They disinfect the carts and monitor the number of people in the store to keep it less-crowded and safer. read more

Clean stores, good selection of products and friendly and helpful staff. They will walk you to the location of the item you're looking for.

Where has this been my whole life? Forget Shoprite and Stop & Shop... Trader Joes has such better quality products. I love their frozen bagged meals. Dishes can be cooked at your home, and taste better than take out. They also have a lot of options for watching your carbs, which I love. I highly recommend you visit with a lot of time because their are many options to look at in the store. TRY THINGS! There's so many things I was hesitant to try... but I'm so glad I did! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU AT LEAST GO AND TRY A FEW ITEMS... You won't regret it! read more

The people that work here are far less friendly and accommodating vs Florham Park. Not sure why that is but I'll continue to go to the Florham Park location from now on. It's a shame because this store is larger and newer. read more

I might have never before ever anywhere received customer service as helpful and kind as I did yesterday by the store's on-duty manager, Karen. This Trader Joe's is a great place to shop because of how friendly and helpful staff usually are, but Karen went above and beyond anything I could have ever expected. My sincere thanks to her. read more

The opening of the Denville location took me by surprise, and I couldn't get there fast enough once I found out. For years, I'd been going to the TJ's in Florham Park. Given the distance from my home and the crazy parking lot, I only went 3-4 times a year. My visit today was a total revelation; even though the strip mall parking is usually very busy, and it was lunchtime, I found a spot close to the entrance almost immediately. The store is well laid out, with wide aisles, making shopping a pleasure despite the number of lunchtime shoppers. Checkout was a breeze, with a very friendly cashier, and the cart return near my car was another welcome addition. No need to cross in front of cars to put my cart back in front of the store. If I'd remembered my list, my first visit to the new Denville TJs would have been perfect. That's OK, though; as close as I am to it, I can go every week if I want! read more

This is by far the best Trader Joes I've ever went too. Much better than Trader Joes in NYC.

I just because I fan of this place. I enjoy the different selections of items they have. The staff is nice and friendly. And the prices are reasonable. I can wait to go back again. read more

Been a fan of TJs for years. This store is wonderful. Unlike other TJs I've been to, this store is spread out and spacious. I feel like they're usually condensed but this store makes it easy to shop without being in the way of other shoppers. I went on opening day and even in the madness, I felt like I could look at things and I was checked out quickly. From what I've seen, they have every register open which cuts down on waiting in line. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They appear to have all the staple items your typical TJ's has as well. Happy this is in a convenient location so I can stop often. Great addition to the community. read more

I've been a dedicated Denville Trader Joe's shopper for the last 3 years and I must say, my shopping experience has ALWAYS been a positive one. Aside from the fresh produce and overall excellent quality, the staff is ALWAYS extremely friendly and helpful. ALWAYS. That's what sets Trader Joe's apart from its competitors (and the prices are very good too ;-) Except for today. After completing my shopping, I headed to the checkout. Because this was my weekly shop, my order was large, enough to fill an entire shopping cart. The cashier began to unload my groceries while I dutifully bagged away. She did not offer to bag, which was fine. I'm not a quick bagger so it took me awhile. As the items piled up on the counter, I struggled to find room to continue. At NO point did the cashier offer to help. I finally asked her towards the end if she could give me a hand because I had run out of space. She took a bag and proceeded to place 3 items into it. Then she stopped so she could tally up the order while I continued to bag the remainder. Then she stood there and watched me while I finished bagging. She then proceeded to bring the empty cart around to me WITHOUT even helping load the heavy bags into the cart. Again, not to be redundant, but, she just stood there and watched me. Before I had even finished paying for my order, she proceeded to ring up the next customer. Then she handed me my receipt without even as much as saying 'Thank You' or 'Thank you for bagging'. Nothing. Frankly, this is so out of character for Trader Joe's. NEVER in all the time I have shopped at this location have I EVER been treated this poorly by ANYONE at your store. C'mon Denville Trader Joe's... DO BETTER!! When you train your new hires please let them know that customer service is key! read more

Welcome to Denville! Finally after 10 years of driving to the Wayne store, I have a TJs practically around the block! Other reviewer said it is in the powder mill plaza--it is NOT--it is in the Shoppes at Union Hill strip mall on the eastbound side of Rt 10. Parking is going to get crazier than it already is in that strip, but can't be helped. Store is immaculate and well setup; employees are very helpful and friendly. TJ's is not meant to replace your trips to Shoprite but it can fill in specific areas of your pantry with inexpensive "treats", such as, pate, creme fraiche, pork belly, langostines, everything bagel seasoning, etc. Their frozen sections are well stocked and worth a try. And their coffee variety is fantastic. Thank you for finally making it to Denville! read more

The Trader Joe's in Denville is the best! I recently started shopping at this wonderful supermarket and I will not shop anywhere else. First of all the employees are incredible!
