This little Starbucks is squeezed into the southeast corner of the building that otherwise houses Goudy's Deli. It has the great luxury for this neighborhood of a private parking lot, also shared with Goudy's. Getting here is a little tricky. If you're going west on Alameda you can turn right directly into the lot by the big Goudy's/Starbucks sign. Going north on Downing you turn right at the first driveway past Alameda, then turn right again at the rear of the building. There are two sections of outdoor seating, facing Alameda and facing the parking lot. The interior has a long, narrow communial high-top plus some quiet, secluded seating along the hallway to the restroom. I've been able to find parking in the small lot during my visits. This Starbucks is a bit further from me than other locations, but all of those have parking issues. This spot offers a nice, peaceful visit with no stress. The store is clean and well-stocked. The staff is friendly and efficient. There are usually at least a few seats available. It's a nice, small Starbucks location. read more

It looks like I have 132 check-ins at this location, which makes it my 2nd most frequented location. I think it's a perfect sized store and I have had some great conversations over the years. The service is always top notch and they have cold brew on tap. It is only 2 blocks from the park so it is an amazing place to stop when I take a break. I can enjoy a sandwich, a cold brew, and clear some email off my phone and then head back to the park. The baristas are friendly here and can load cash, cards, or gift cards to your account. The restrooms are usually in good shape too. The parking lot can get crazy so if you are driving just park across the street near the path that leads to the park! Oh, this is also the location where I finished with an epic 2022 stars on 1/1/2022. I don't think I will make it to 2026 Stars by new years since I have 1400 stars now and 11 days left. Starbucks is my favorite rewards program and has some great promotions for its loyal customers. read more

Very convenient location if you live near Wash Park. During week 7 of quarantine, we were craving a Starbucks coffee. It was very easy to make a no-contact order. We ordered online. No contact with paying, and when I arrived to pick up my order, it was on a table that was blocking the entrance. All of the employees were wearing masks and were 6 feet away from the coffee orders. Disgustingly filthy environment, bad service (understaffed?), but standard Starbucks fare if that's your jam. I'll give them a second chance if I get stuck in the area again, hopefully have cleaner experience. The dirtiest Starbucks I have ever been in, crumbs and wrappers littered everywhere. Spilled coffee and trash. Women's bathroom was out of toilet paper (I was told by my companion). An alarm kept going off, and the staff would let it run for several minutes before sauntering over to turn it off. However, I got the impression that they were understaffed. The coffee is always good but I'm never impressed with the staff. The past two times I've been in, the girl with extremely long hair has been rude and overall seemed annoyed with her job. Starbucks is Starbucks. This location is just really close to my home. Always a small group of smiling faces sitting in the front area when I walk in. Nothing to complain about other than the parking. You almost have to know where to enter and how to maneuver, it's kind of a fun extra challenge as I see it. It's your basic Starbucks. Kind of a smaller location (and no drive thru), and as some have said they are lacking easy parking due to the proximity to a King Soopers. This is definetly one of the better Starbucks in Denver. At some point I might even be a regular here like the old guy who drives the 80's Buick Regal. Pure class. This is walking distance from my house which I am grateful for as the parking here is pretty crazy and very limited. I am even more excited to walk here now that there is a better crosswalk as Alameda Ave is always busy. Oh Starbucks near my old house. You made me happy to live in this neighborhood. This Starbucks had baristas that hung around for a while- I think most of them had worked there 3+ years so they were super efficient, calm and kind. Nothing could ruffle these folks. It has a great neighborhood atmosphere and always busy but not too busy where it is chaotic. Relaxing. Parking on the other hand, nightmare. It is easy to say that all Starbucks are the same, but this particular location excels in the customer service department. Some Starbucks branches are full of "what do you want?' types. This location has always greets me with a smile that looks genuine. There is not a ton of seating outside, but there is a rather large park (Wash Park) within walking distance. read more

Normally I go for the local coffee shops to support local business but this starbucks really fits the local feel. I bring my toddler here for a breakfast he always loves before school when we are in a crunch. He is always so happy. Working from this shop, I have also found so many great community connections. This Starbucks feels more like a community coffee shop than an international chain. I don't really cover the drinks or food when I review Starbucks since it is standardized, but would do so if there where a deviation from the norm. This is typical inconsistency and a cozy space. It does not have a ton of seating and only boast one outdoor bench. The staff in this location has been particularly friendly, much like the one on Fillmore and 2nd. This is absolutely the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. I am a Seattle native Which is where Starbucks is originally from. In all my years living in Washington and going across the United States this is the worst Starbucks I have ever been to. Every time I visit this location they either get my order wrong or the line is so ridiculous it usually takes a good 25 minutes to get your drink. And finally, today, as I pulled into the parking lot, some stuck up in the drive through lady starts waving her fingers at me because she thinks she's the Starbucks parking lot police. And is not about let anybody into the drive-through line in front of her. I left. I don't need to spend my money here. read more

Hands down the worlds greatest Starbucks on planet earth! I was a regular for 7 years and not once did I ever encounter a bad experience. They always have pastries and sandwiches in stock, incredibly friendly service, they're clean, speedy, and on top of your order. I'm so sad I had to move to another town.
